And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him.

"Alpha Team, report."

The crackling of a radio set breached the ear
of a man in a black uniform and tactical gear, that covered him head to toe. In back Kevlar vests, knee guards and even a gas mask on for breaching.

For better words. They were decked out in force.

James Shade, the squad commander, brought two fingers up to his ear pierce on the side of mask, as he and his team secured the front lawn.

"Control, this is Alpha. We're in sight of the objective. Securing the perimeter for safekeeping, over."

"Roger that. Radio in before entering the target location, Control out."

"A secure and extract mission. Must be our lucky day." Y/N remarked over the comms as he secured the back courtyard of the mansion with his own team. He motioned his left hand into a fist (which had the markings a red phenix on the glove) to stop the two operatives behind him.

He approached forward, stacked against the brick walls and peaked around the corner, the scope of his red dot sight glossing over some plant pots and gnomes. He unmasked his fist and snaked his left hand to the under grip of his weapon.

Switching on the flashlight of his tactical M4A1, Y/N searched through the area, his rifle scanning around the area for potential targets. However, seeing no targets in sight, he lowered his weapon.

"You know they only give us the best jobs." Rain Ocampo, a female operative and a close friend of Y/N's, spoke from the rear. Sub machine gun in hand as she watched his six.

"I'd hate to hear what the bad missions are." A mumbled sigh left that of Chad Kaplan, the tech guy of the team. Another close friend of his. Sighing, Kaplan lowered the handgun in his hand slightly at his side as he took in the surrounding area, observing the place.

A slight scoff came from ahead of the two Umbrella soldiers. "Of course you would. Then again, clean up duty does has its perks." Y/N removed his black gloved finger from the edge trigger of his gun, and reached to the side of his mask where his radio was positioned. "Lieutenant L/N, here. Backyard secure. No targets in the vicinity, over."

While waiting for a response, he slowly turned around to his face his comrades, his guard still up and watching.

"Umbrella only signs us up for the most difficult jobs?" Y/N cocked his head to the side. "Either that, or when they want something cleaned up."

Rain rolled her eyes beneath her gas mask, before letting go of her weapon and let it hung from her side. "Glorified janitors." She elbowed Kaplan in his side, almost making him startle as his view was obstructed. "Think yourself lucky that you aren't being sent into the meat grinder."

"I'm definitely feeling the love." Kaplan muttered as he exhaled slowly.

"You'll get used to—" But before Y/N could finish, he was interrupted by the crackle of his radio, and the voice that followed.

"Roger that, proceed to the back entrance and await my signal."

"Acknowledged." Y/N turned to the the other two, and made a circle motion with his finger.

Signalling them to follow him.

"You heard the man, let's move."

The three commandos got back into tight formation as they went ahead, guns locked and loaded. Their sights on anything in view or suspicious, clearing past the shrubby and to the back door of the house.

The mansion was huge, but it was nothing compared to the great big facility underneath.

Sucking in a deep breath. Y/N made his way up the small cobblestone path next to the exit cream coloured windows, protective steel covering them, and a blank keypad next to them.

"Stack up." Y/N ordered as he placed himself on the left beside the wall, his rifle at the ready as he lowered it down so that it was accessible when trying execute a breach. Rain and Kaplan followed suit, the tech operative positioning himself on the far right by the keypad, while Rain put herself right between the two. Her weapon aimed at the windows.

"Cap. L/N, here. We've arrived at our due course, over." Y/N signalled him over the radio as Kaplan began accessing into the mansion's mainframe via the keypad.

The bright red and white glow of the Umbrella logo powering up as he began to type into his tactical wrist device.

"Preparing to breach from the back end of the house. I say again, preparing to breach."

"Roger that..." A momental paused followed, and Y/N wondered what it was that made his commander break off. "On my mark, break and enter."

"Roger." Y/N nodded, and turned to the two others and signalled them to do the same.

Rain let go of her gun and clasped her hands to some stun grenades on her lower vest; nodded to him, before pulling one out.

Kaplan managed to break though the house's mainframe. Noticed by the flash of green and a symbol of a key unlocking on screen. And the steel covers opening up on themselves to reveal the glass windows. The man looked towards Y/N and he too nodded, before lowering his wrist device and getting himself ready enter the house.

"Captain, we're ready to breach on your go ahead, over."

"Acknowledged." The three top dog Umbrella Operatives waited for the sign. Taking any last deep breaths, and thoughts before entering into the unknown.

"Breach on three. One... Two... THREE!"

A fleeting groan parted from the lips of a woman. Followed by the flicker of her green eyes. For a moment, she let her eyes adjust to the blinding light that consumed the very room she was in.

Confusion marvelled her face as she looked around. She was laid back first on the floor of a shower, whatever water left in the head now dripping down above her. Soaking her blonde hair.

Muffling another groan of displeasure. She grabbed ahold of the side and hoisted herself up. Trying her best to ignore the raging headache that plagued her, and finally the dizziness as she made her way to her feet.

It was at that moment she realised she was indeed naked (half her lower body being covered by a towel) It only made her confusion more apparent. Looking around, she spotted a white robe nearby and grabbed it quickly, before covering herself up.

She had no idea where she was. No concrete recollection of how she got there, or why.

And, she didn't even know her own name. She tried to think of it in her head. But came across nothing, just blankness. Masking a sigh with a frustrated groan, she made her way over to the mirror of the bathroom.

The mirror was fogged up. She slowly brought her right hand up to the mirror and wiped a single palm across. Enough for it to expose her reflection back at her. Short blonde hair that reached down to the baseline of her neck, a pair of green eyes staring back at her, and clear skin. She looked healthy, but still it didn't reveal who she was, if only her looks.

Blinking out the sleep from her eyes, she moved on. Taking slow steps out of the white tile bathroom.

She ended up in a bedroom. This time larger than the previous room. A master bed, decor, furniture, cabinets and photo frames littered the place.

It was dark but she could make out one of them. It was her in a wedding dress, smiling fondly next to a man who wore a black tuxedo, him carrying in his mark of a grin.

'So I'm married... or was married.'

A simply, revealing thought. Yet it bared no fruit. Still leaving the woman in quite a daze.

On the nightstand was a note. She inched closer to it and squinted her eyes to see it clearer.

It read:

Today all your dreams
come true
———— X ————

Frowning, she reached down and grabbed the pen besides it. And began scribbling down "Today all your-" Before scribbling it out with her pen. Doing anything to jog her memory but nothing seemed to be working.

She turned her attention towards the bed and saw a dress. How she had missed it before, she didn't know.

It was red, almost blood red. The bottom length of dress only reached just barely below the thighs, while two laces would support over the shoulders. Leaving much to be desired, it was quite revealing. But alas, there was nothing else in the vicinity she could see.

Against her better judgment of clothing, she grabbed the dress and got changed. Fitting into her new piece of clothing. She looked down at herself, she couldn't deny that it was a beautiful item, but not something she'd wear after waking up with no memory whatsoever.

Shrugging, she grabbed a pair of black boots too. Slugging them on. Luckily, they reached up above the lower half of her knees, so that offered her some notion.

Now in some (less than) appropriate clothing ware. The blonde woman searched around the room. On the off chance, she knelt down and opened through the draws of a cabinet one by one. Finding nothing but clothes.

Men's clothes.

Until she reached the bottom draw of the cabinet, and what only confused her ever more. Was the stockpile of weapons enclosed in glass, and a keypad to open it. Handguns to small sub machine guns laid bare.

Just what in the hell was she mixed up in?

Not bothering to close the draw. She quickly got to her feet and exited the room. Failing to notice the draw closing on its own.

That, and the small flashing lights barely concealed by the darkness of night. Just outside the mansion itself. Ready to enter on their call sign.

She trailed down the dark hall, the only light source being that from outside, the lights still on. Until she hit the end of the hallway and found a door. Suddenly a noise sounded from behind her, causing to wipe around fast. Only for there to be nothing there. But she had something, a creak.

"Hello?" She called out, moving her head to the right to get a better angle from down the hall from where she came. But still nothing, but darkness. Shuddering, she turned back around and abraded along again. Finally spotting a door to the far end, she quickly rushed to open it.

Luckily, it was unlocked.

She pushed the door open and leant out towards the night air. Sticking her head carefully to observe the area. Yet again, it was empty. Like a ghost town. It started to make her anxious.

Gulping the self dread down, the blonde pushed the door open fully and walked out into the air. She stepped ahead cautiously, heading out into what seemed like an arch way running along the side of the house.

Wrapping her hands around herself for warmth against the cold air. She called again, in hopes of finding someone, anyone.

"Hello?"

Suddenly thousands of birds cried out from the wood works; trees and launched into the air.

Enough to make her startle and step back, stopping her in her tracks. Her eyes searched across the land, and then back up to the sky.

And soon, the wind began to pick up the more.

Leaves and fallen branches flying towards her thanks to the high wind and it forced her to retreat back into the house in a panic. She fumbled back into the door, only for her to be grabbed from behind by someone.

She barely had time to process who it was before being pulled inside and guided across the hall in the arms of a stranger. A man in a blue suit to be exact.

He pulled her along through the hall again. "Don't touch me! Stop!" She protested. "Get away from me!" Only to be stopped by the sounds of glass breaking. And then she saw it, she recognised the flash grenade as it landed at her feet.

"DOWN!" The man hissed as he threw her to the floor to avoid the flash, as he too fell with her, almost falling on her the way down.

Immediately the two were confronted by half a dozen soldiers in black gear, gas masks and weapons trained on them. Some rappelled through the windows and others came barging through the double doors into the room. All baring a similar white and red Umbrella logo on their left shoulders.

The man in question immediately pulled a handgun out and aimed at one of the soldiers, only to get kneed in the stomach and his arm dislodged behind his back. Before the soldier knocked the gun out of his hand. And kicked him to the ground.

Another soldier came up behind them, holstering their automatic weapon at their side before grabbing the man on the ground too. And began cuffing him up with a pair of handcuffs. The only indication as to who they were, was a red phenix on their left glove.

"What are you doing? I'm a cop!" The man exclaimed but the soldiers continued their assault on the house.

Meanwhile the blonde woman was just as shocked at the reveal, her head down. The force from the windows shattering had impacted with her dress, knocking one of the laces down, she brought it back up to her shoulder and looked around at the soldiers. Her eyes narrowed and confused as the supposed cop kept on protesting his rights.

The team moved in perfect sync. Knowing exactly what they were doing. Though none of them said a word. One of them, the first one that had disarmed the cop, began adding pressuring to his arm, causing him to squeal in pain.

"You're breaking my arm!"

The soldiers dressed him down, removing his jacket and leaving him with his shirt. Just for extra points, the soldier pressed down even harder in retaliation.

Though the soldier next to them finished placing the cuffs on him and slapped their comrade on the back, signalling that he was done. The other one let go and dragged him to his feet.

The one with the strange tattoo mark, got up from his knees and looked across the hall.

Right at the woman with the blonde hair, right at her. But the gaze was broken when another soldier came through the doors the other three had used and marched up to her.

Something about him radiated a leadership vibe. He was in charge. The man in question walked up to her, before looking down at her.

The words to leave his mouth through the mask were this:

"Report."

It had her even more baffled. Hearing no answer from her. The man reached down and grabbed her harshly, pulling her up and holding her in place against the wall.

"Report, now." He said more forcefully, but she didn't know what he meant.

"What?"

The man dragged her across the room and firmly braced her against the wall again.
"I want your report, Soldier." He insisted.

The other soldier from before came over, his hand hovering close to his rifle at his side as he watched over the scene. She looked over at him in a bit of daze, before turning back to her interrogator.

"I don't know what you're talking about."

The soldier besides him made a slight gesture, his hand reaching up to his mask, as if to cup his chin in thought.

"Sir, the house's primary defences have been activated." A younger man (from what should tell) called out from across the room, his wrist device accessing the inner mansion network.

"Sir." The woman was surprised to hear the man next to her speak. Either that, or his relatively smooth voice through the mask that shocked her, while everyone else's sounded almost gurgled. "If the defences have been activated then it's possible she may still be suffering from the side effects."

The leader turned away to look at the man who had explained it as it was. Then over to the technician, who nodded in confirmation. He nodded before pulling her along, including the cop.

"What about the cop?"

The man with the phoenix threw the cop's ID, that he had snagged, to the IT guy. "Mathew Addison. I'm not getting a match."

"Who are you?" The soldier that disarmed him question as she pointed her pistol at his head, as another joined her.

"I just transferred. They probably don't even have me on file yet."

"The locals are inefficient. It's possible." The soldier with the phenix told his CO, who then released the woman in his grasp.

"Do we secure him here?" The female operative asked.

The leader looked from her, then to his 2nd in command next to him, who shook his head. And from the looks of it, he too provided an opinion of his own.

'No.'

It was always nice to have a second opinion. The Captain himself thought about it too, before he nodded and turned to the blonde, before ripping his gas mask off.

"No. We take him with us."

Still topside, Y/N and his comrades were beginning to move onto phase two of their mission. To enter the Hive, and analyse the threat.

Meanwhile, someone else wasn't having too much fun, to say the least.

"You can't do this!" The cop, Mathew Addison, exclaimed.

Though Rain didn't care, from what Y/N knew of her. She kneeled down to face Mathew as she pulled her own mask off and threw it to the ground. Before reaching her lips close to his ear.

"Blow me." She remarked sarcastically, causing the cop to scoff.

"Knock it off." Y/N said sternly as Rain dragged him to his feet. "Bad enough we gotta listen to him protest, we don't need you riling him up anymore."

Though Rain felt otherwise, and directed her own at him.

"Bite me."

"Cute." Y/N rolled his his eyes, and removed his gas mask. Throwing it to the ground. To reveal a man with short brunette hair and blue eyes and pale skin. His face was comical and attractive. And had a slight stubby for facial hair.

Something the blonde female took notice of (which didn't go unnoticed by Y/N) before directing her gaze to the lead of the group. Who wasn't in the mood for their banter.

"Enough!" James barked. Glaring at the two. "Prep entry to the Hive."

The rest of the soldiers removed their masks and headed towards a double door leading deeper into the house.

Y/N turned back to the woman they had found. Her short blonde hair and green eyes stuck out to him. And the dress she wore was... questionable.

Definitely didn't seem like something she desired to wear out of choice, as she wrapped her hands around herself. But, simply put, she was attractive looking. From look alone he guessed they were near the same age, late twenties to possibly early thirties. Like most of the team were, except for Kaplan who was the youngest at twenty-one.

He took one last look at her, which made her turn his way and look at him questionably.

"Let's go." Y/N urged (no longer needing to linger in her view, or vice versa) as he took ahold of her arm gently, but firmly (something she took notice of as well) with his left hand and guided her just at the back rear of the others as the boss man lead the charge, and Rain guarded the cop.

Y/N himself, guarded the mystery woman. The soldier who was supposed to have reported in. But hadn't, because of the house defences. Why, he had a sinking feeling as to why, they all did (minus the supposed cop and the amnesia tag along)

They entered through the doors to reveal a level of concrete going down in a slight slope. What one would see in a parking lot.

Behind them, the doors closed, and the group found themselves stepping into the Hive.

What awaited them was going to be hell.
