I was awaken by the sound of buckets banging and people yelling and screaming. I was also awaken by mother. She was happy that I was brought into this world. Father looked over the stall and sniffed me.

"He's beautiful star" he said
"He's gorgeous and might be the next triple crown winners. Their hasn't been on e in three years now" she says

I asked mother what a race is and a triple crown. She said they where races where you compete against other horses. I would like to race against other horses and beet their butts at it.

As people came and took pictures and talked mother was taken away from me. She stayed right close to me but I wanted to be closer. People came in and looked at me and checked me over. One person in particular was a person named Fred. He was the owner of mommy and daddy.

That night mother tells me how she had a friend named midnight glow. She was gorgeous mare form what I heard. I wondered about her.

That night I had a dream where mother and father where taken away from me. I galloped around looking for them. I was scared and lost. But when I woke up mother said it was ok. And glow would protect me from the bad nightmares. I believed her.
