Just when Gabriella allowed herself to rest her head on Bellamy's shoulder so both of them could try to get some sleep, ── as much as they could in the vents ── Maya shook them awake and told them about the guards managing to break into the dorm their friends were in and how they took a girl named Fox for a bone marrow transplant.

Gabriella didn't hesitate to get up at the announcement, not caring about the lack of sleep she was getting. She could sleep after they saved their friends.

Bellamy, on the other hand, seemed much more grumpy and reluctant when she dragged him to his feet and out of the vent, which she sort of understood too.

They made their way to the lab, which wasn't far from them, with Maya on their feet and instantly picked up their paces at the sound of Fox's screams and pleas.

"Stay here." Bellamy hissed to Gabriella when the guards dragged Fox into the lab.

His tone made Gabriella narrow her eyes in annoyance, "I'm going too."

"Do you really think this is the time to be fighting?" he shot back, his tone laced with annoyance, "Besides, I have a gun and what do you have?"

Gabriella pursed her lips, knowing he was right but also not wanting to give in so she spat out the first thing that came to her mind, "I still have a knife in my pocket."

"Gabi."

"What?" she snapped at his deadpan tone, crossing her arms over her chest.

"Stay here." Bellamy stated, not giving her further opportunity to argue as he brushed past her and marched straight towards the lab.

The blonde glared at the back of his neck, ignoring Maya's short chuckle and watched his frame disappear out of her sight. Gabriella relaxed once she heard two gunshots and the wound of Bellamy's reassuring voice.

"All clear."

Gabriella and Maya quickly walked into the room, seeing Fox's face filled with relief at the sight of the two of the three people who kept her and her friends alive when they landed on Earth to survive from scratch.

"Ella, Bellamy!" the young brunette exclaimed, tackling both of them into a bone crushing hug and wrapping each of her arms around their necks.

"We got you, we got you." Gabriella cooed, her heart breaking as more sobs escaped Fox's lips and she shook in her arms.

Bellamy patted Fox's back in comfort and questioned her, "You okay?"

She only nodded into the crook of Gabriella's neck as the older blonde carased her hair gently.

"Come on. We need to get her someplace safe." Maya interrupted them, looking both nervous and uneasy at having to break up the moment.

Nodding, Gabriella removed her arms from Fox and gave her shoulder a gentle and what she hoped was a comforting squeeze and allowed Bellamy to wrap one of his arms around her waist to steady her.

The eldest Blake gave Gabriella a nod, "I got her."

Gabriella's lips twitched into a small smile and she nodded but her mind didn't seem to process just how quickly she always went from being annoyed at him to being grateful to have someone like him by her side.

It was obvious how often the two were at each other's throats, either throwing insults or trying to one-up the other, especially in the first few weeks they landed on Earth.

But now? Now they shared mutual trust and dare Gabriella say 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘵𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘷𝘦𝘯𝘦𝘴𝘴 over each other.

That entire thing was something Gabriella wasn't sure she was ready to even think about, although she did really hope Bellamy didn't think she still hated him like she did when they first met.

It was quite the opposite actually.

She 𝘬𝘯𝘦𝘸 she 𝘰𝘳 the rest of the hundred wouldn't be where they are today if it wasn't for him.

Hell, they wouldn't even be alive.

-

Their new plan wasn't really a plan, it was more of a 𝘨𝘰 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘪𝘵 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘩𝘰𝘱𝘦 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘣𝘦𝘴𝘵 kind of thing ── something Gabriella noticed they have been doing a lot recently.

The four of them were going to sneak away to Maya's apartment and see if they could stay there for a bit and hide Fox there until everything around them cleared out.

"Dad, you're home." Gabriella heard Maya's surprised tone from the doorway and instantly grabbed Bellamy's sleeve to keep him from going in so Maya's dad wouldn't see them.

He only wouldn't be that suspicious of Fox but of them? A random guy dressed as a fake guard and a girl dressed in his daughter's clothes with blood all over the side of her neck ── something Gabriella only now realized she should have cleaned up earlier.

"Yeah." Maya's dad responded, "Drill bit broke again."

Surprisingly, Maya gave Gabriella and Bellamy a nod to come in, so after the two shared a confused look they entered and closed the door behind them.

"What are they doing here?"

Maya gave her father a pleading look and tried to calm him down, "Look, they're in trouble and we just need someplace safe."

Her words seemed to make him even more panicked, "They need to go, now."

"Let me explain." Maya started, only to have him cut her off, "Why don't you explain where you got that uniform?"

Bellamy stiffened at his words and Gabriella instantly snapped her eyes away from the father and daughter arguing in front of her and connected with Bellamy's guilty face. Biting her bottom lip, she hesitantly squeezed his hand three times ── much like he did to her earlier ── and his head instantly turned her way. His eyebrows furrowed slightly in thought before his expression softened and he squeezed back two times.

At his daughter's silence, the man softened his tone, "Maya, you know how dangerous this is. What are you doing?"

"What mom would have done." Maya shot back without missing a beat, her expression sure and it made Gabriella nod to herself, realizing Jasper found the girl that fit him perfectly.

"I need you to leave."

Bellamy instantly dismissed the request by shaking his head, "I'm sorry, we can't do that."

"That's okay. He's gonna help us." Maya reassured them, causing Gabriella to scoff.

"Does he look like he will?" the blonde retorted, raising an eyebrow, "Look. Personally, I'm fine with having to sleep and hide around the Mountain until we free our friends but Fox isn't. I know that you're only trying to help and that none of this is your fault but 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 people did that to our friends. If your father is one of them, we are not gonna stand there and wait for more guards to come raiding this place and lock us up like we're lab rats."

Maya shook her head stubbornly, "My parents were a part of a movement against using outsider blood. My mom refused the treatments and it killed her. She was willing to die for what she believed in."

𝘖𝘩. Gabriella thought as her face fell.

Well, that made her feel like a bit of an idiot.

"Maya, you were five. I couldn't leave you alone."

"I'm not a little girl anymore." Maya told her father with a small and sad smile.

"They were willing to kill you before. If you get caught── "

This time, Maya was the one who cut him off, "We won't if you help us!"

Gabriella pursed her lips, not sure that was entirely sure. Even she didn't know what risks she was going to have to take if she was going to free what was left of the hundred from the Mountain Men.

"Please." Fox chimed in from behind, her smaller body visibly exhausted, "They're killing us and we don't have anywhere else to go."

"I'm sorry about your five and what this entire movement has already caused you." Gabriella started, her voice surprisingly soft, "But if we don't stop this 𝘯𝘰𝘸, her death was for nothing."

"Just this once. Just for one night."

Maya visibly brightened and instantly went by Fox's side, putting a hand to her back, "Bedroom's this way."

When the two girls were out of the room, Bellamy gave Gabriella what she thought was a sheepish smile before he turned to Maya's father, "We'll, uh── we'll take the couch."

Gabriella bit her bottom lip to keep herself from chuckling and moved to sit down on the couch, allowing herself a second to relax on something that wasn't metal or as hard as a rock.

"Thank you." Maya's father spoke up not even a moment later, "You know they will never stop, right? If the rumors are you and your bone marrow can get us back to the ground, they will never stop."

Rubbing the back of her neck, Gabriella connected her tired blue eyes with Bellamy's brown ones and they were sure they were both thinking the same thing.

They were going to stop them.

No matter the price.

-

After Fox was soundly asleep, Maya showed Gabriella the bathroom in which she could wash the blood off her face and take a quick shower ── something she hasn't done properly since a month before she and the hundred were sent to the ground.

The hot water hitting her skin made Gabriella want to melt and never leave the shower. She knew that she was allowed an hour or two of sleep after this and after that she and Bellamy were probably going on the run again.

That was something she wasn't looking forward to so she chose to relax for one more minute before getting out and into new clothes Maya left for her.

Ten minutes later, just as she put Maya's clothes on, there was a knock on the door. Gabriella put the towel she was drying her hair with down and opened the door to reveal Bellamy, who looked more out of place than she had ever seen him.

"You good?" she asked him, her eyes narrowed and her small smile more genuine than it had been in these past few weeks.

"Shouldn't I be the one asking you that?" Bellamy shot back, raising an unimpressed eyebrow, "I mean, first those assholes tortured you like they did me, then they took out your bone marrow and 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘯 they almost turned you into a reaper."

Gabriella chose to ignore the things he listed and shrugged one of her shoulders, leaning against the doorframe, "Well I'm asking because your eyebrows are furrowed and you look like a perfect mix of lost and grumpy. You know sulking makes you look older?"

"You think I'm perfect?"

"Not what I meant." Gabriella scoffed with a roll of her eyes.

The curly headed Blake merely gave her a flirty grin which she ignored by looking over his shoulders at the darkness filling the apartment.

"Did everyone go to bed?"

"Yeah." Bellamy cleared his throat, snapping out of his thoughts, "Maya said the couch was a pull out so we don't actually have to sleep pressed together." a dramatic and teasing sigh escaped his lips, "But, hey, no need to get all disappointed now, Artemis. You can still lay close to me if you want to so bad."

"I was actually going to sleep on the floor, but good thing the couch is big enough for the two of us." Gabriella shot back, brushing past him and smirking at the fact that she left him standing in front of the bathroom, chuckling to himself in amusement.

Walking back into the living room, Gabriella couldn't help but look around and a familiar yellow book caught her eye causing her interest to instantly peek. She skipped over to the coffee table to see the Illiad layed there and a smile instantly appeared on her face, along with a nostalgic feeling washing over her.

"What's that?"

Her attention turned away from the book at the sound of Bellamy's voice and she gave him a small shrug, "A book. Have you seen one before?"

Bellamy rolled his eyes at the sarcasm in her voice and walked over to her side to see which book she was looking at and a similar expression painted his face.

"I definitely saw this one." he told her with a smile, "My mom used to read it to me and I read it to O."

"My mom read it to me when I was a kid too." Gabriella admitted, staring down at the book and refusing to meet his eye, "After she died I used to steal it from the library weekly . . . that's how I met John."

A silence followed, before Bellamy was the one to break it with a surprisingly soft statement.

"Seems like we have more in common than I thought, Artemis."

-

Gabriella wasn't able to use the few hours of sleep she could have because of how quiet everything around her was.

Every time she closed her eyes, the first thing she heard was the loud silence and then came the sound of drilling going through her head and she swore that she was back on the dropship when it was flying from The Ark to Earth.

So as pathetic as it sounds, she was humming to herself like a mom to her little kid and shifting her gaze from the pictures surrounding Maya's living room to Bellamy── who was surprisingly a heavy sleeper who hasn't moved an inch the entire time── every couple of minutes.

"Lovejoy's key card will get you in the armory. The guns are locked but the guard has the key. I can lure him away if── "

Gabriella cut Maya off by shaking her head, her head trying to wrap around everything the girl next to her has been saying since they left her home, "That sounds like it will take 𝘸𝘢𝘺 too long."

Bellamy nodded in agreement, "She's right. There's no time. Once I get the guns, how do I get to Level Five? They're watching every door."

"Maybe not." Maya said, stopping in her tracks and making the two co-leaders stop too, "The mess hall has a trash chute."

"A trash chute?" Gabriella raised an unimpressed eyebrow, not seeing her point.

"There's one on every level. Best part, no radiation alarms." Maya explained, "The hatches leak like crazy so they are put in air locks just to be safe. You two get the guns and I'll get them to the mess hall."

"You're a natural born revolutionary." Bellamy noted, nodding to himself.

"My mom was the revolutionary." Maya corrected but Gabriella quickly shook her head, "Well so are you. If you weren't one, you wouldn't be doing everything you're doing now."

"I'm just trying to do what's right. Meet me back here in thirty minutes."

Gabriella raised her eyebrows when Maya quickly walked away and shot Bellamy a side glance, but he simply shrugged and met her stare with narrowed eyes.

"What?"

"You drool in your sleep." Gabriella stated blankly, not having enough energy to discuss Maya's beliefs right now and turning on her heel to walk away from Bellamy and towards where the armory is supposed to be, leaving him no choice but to follow.

-

"𝘛𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘪𝘴 𝘗𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘪𝘥𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘞𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘵𝘢𝘭𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘱𝘦𝘰𝘱𝘭𝘦 𝘸𝘩𝘰 𝘫𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘬𝘪𝘭𝘭𝘦𝘥 𝘵𝘦𝘯 𝘰𝘧 𝘮𝘺 𝘮𝘦𝘯."

At first, Gabriella simply looked over at Bellamy's radio for a second and kept walking, but her eyes widened when Cage kept talking.

"𝘐 𝘵𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩𝘵 𝘸𝘦 𝘸𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 𝘵𝘳𝘺 𝘴𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘢 𝘭𝘪𝘵𝘵𝘭𝘦 𝘥𝘪𝘧𝘧𝘦𝘳𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘵𝘪𝘮𝘦. 𝘛𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦'𝘴 𝘰𝘯𝘭𝘺 𝘵𝘸𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘺 𝘮𝘪𝘯𝘶𝘵𝘦𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘰𝘹𝘺𝘨𝘦𝘯 𝘪𝘯 𝘔𝘢𝘺𝘢'𝘴 𝘴𝘶𝘪𝘵. 𝘐 𝘬𝘯𝘰𝘸 𝘴𝘩𝘦'𝘴 𝘢 𝘧𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘯𝘥 𝘰𝘧 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳𝘴. 𝘐𝘯 𝘵𝘸𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘺 𝘮𝘪𝘯𝘶𝘵𝘦𝘴 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘧𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘯𝘥 𝘸𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘦𝘪𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘴𝘶𝘧𝘧𝘰𝘤𝘢𝘵𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘣𝘶𝘳𝘯."

Gabriella's eyes were wide in shock and panic when Bellamy grabbed a hold of her wrist and tugged her back to the other direction of the armory, discarding their initial plan completely.

"𝘉𝘶𝘵 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘤𝘢𝘯 𝘴𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘩𝘦𝘳. 𝘈𝘭𝘭 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘥𝘰 𝘪𝘴 𝘴𝘶𝘳𝘳𝘦𝘯𝘥𝘦𝘳."

-

Their new plan ── another one they bullshitted as they walked through the Mountain trying not to be seen like two brainless idiots they were ── was for one of them to get through the trash chutes and into the dorm their friends were in.

The logical thing was for Gabriella to go up to get Maya so both of them could fit easier and she could get out without a problem. So after a lot of arguing with Bellamy, Gabriella was knocking on the trash chute from the inside.

She pushed it roughly when it didn't want to open at first and was surprised that she was met with Jasper, Philip and Miller pointing guns at her.

"Ella." Miller sighed in relief as all three of them lowered their guns.

The blonde nodded in hello and turned to Maya, "Get in here. Now."

Jasper didn't waste a second and instantly rushed to push Maya in, he too falling right behind.

Gabriella groaned when she fell face first into the floor, the sound of Maya's now steady breathing making her look up to see Jasper holding her helmet and Bellamy looking at all three of them in concern, "You guys alright?"

"Yeah." Gabriella nodded, panting and brushing the hair out of her face once she got to her feet.

Once the three of them climbed out, Jasper handed Gabriella his gun, which she took with a small smirk, "Finally, a gun."

Bellamy chuckled under his breath and their attention was soon turned to Maya's dad entering the room.

"Dad? What are you doing here?" Maya asked with furrowed eyebrows.

"What your mother would have done." he said, pulling his daughter into a long hug.

Gabriella tore her gaze away from her new gun when Jasper tackled Bellamy into a hug. Bellamy stiffened slightly, before he hugged the younger boy back.

After the two of them pulled away, Jasper flashed Gabriella a happy and goofy grin and pulled her into a hug too. Chuckling, the blonde instantly hugged back, thanking whatever gods there were that he was alive and well.

"Listen to me." Bellamy started once the two of them pulled away, "Clarke is coming with an army of Grounders. We have to keep all of you safe till then."

"We know." Jasper nodded, "Ella filled us in." he looked between the two self proclaimed leaders with a wide grin, "Don't tell me Finn finally got his peace talks."

Both Gabriella and Bellamy's faces fell at the mention of the Spacewalker and memories of everything that happened after that made Gabriella swallow nervously.

"Something like that." sighed Bellamy, his face turning serious again and patting Jasper's shoulder, "Come on, we got a lot of work to do."

-

Gabriella lost count of how many days she spent sneaking around Mount Weather. She felt incredibly unsafe the entire time but the huge gun Jasper gave her earlier definitely made her feel slightly better.

On the other hand, leading more than twenty members of the original hundred delinquents through Mount Weather did bring her an entirely new sense of comfort. It was familiar and it was something she missed.

"It's all clear." Bellamy called over his shoulder, both him and Gabriella lowering their guns down and walking further down the empty hall.

"Relax, Maya took out the cameras." Bellamy stated when he saw that everyone was nervous to follow them in that direction.

"Well we're still sitting ducks in a group like this." Miller noted bitterly, being at the beginning of the group, just behind Jasper and in between Monty and Philip.

"Stop being so negative." Philip rolled his eyes, "We wouldn't be here if they didn't have a plan."

"Miller is right." Gabriella chimed in, looking between them with narrowed eyes, a silent order for them not to start an argument, "We're splitting up."

"No." Monty exclaimed, surprising them all by grabbing one of Bellamy's shoulders, "We do this 𝘵𝘰𝘨𝘦𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳. We survive together."

"Bellamy's right, Green." Philip stated apologetically putting an arm on Monty's forearm, "Cage doesn't trust Maya anymore. None of them do. Who the hell is gonna want to help us now?"

Gabriella smirked slightly, exchanged a knowing glance with Jasper and Bellamy, before nodding towards a turn in the hallway ── motioning them to follow.

"They are." Bellamy voiced when the group came face to face Maya, her father and a group of all the people 𝘢𝘨𝘢𝘪𝘯𝘴𝘵 bone marrow transplants.

"We're going to hide you." Maya stated and walked towards them, "Not everyone here agrees with Cage. Not by a long shot."

"Come with me." her father was quick to take over, "We'll divide you along the way."

"You'll be fine." Gabriella told a nervous looking Monty, "We'll come to get you as soon as all of this is over."

"We're coming with you." Jasper exclaimed, shaking his head stubbornly.

"No you're not." Bellamy instantly dismissed him, "They still don't know Gabi and I are here. We need to keep it that way."

"So what do we do?" Philip asked, "Just sit down and wait?"

"You stay alive." Gabriella corrected him.

Bellamy nodded, "And be ready to fight. War is coming."

"Just don't do anything we would do." Gabriella told them, mainly looking between Monty and Jasper, but also raising an eyebrow in Philip's direction "Because then you know you're doing all sorts of stupid. So, just stay put and stay alive."

Letting out a defeated sigh, Jasper nodded, "Stay safe."

"You too." Gabriella smiled, giving them a short two finger salute and following Bellamy away from their friends.
