Logan sighed as he put down his pen, recognizing that he had reached his limit of how much work he could do at once. Once past this limit, he became unproductive and unfocused. He forced himself to his feet and headed to the living room for a break.

He found that only one of his fellow Sides was there, this being his boyfriend. Patton didn't look up as he entered; he was focused on the coins in front of him on the coffee table, which he was standing on their sides. Logan looked at them in confusion. There were quarters, nickels, dimes, and pennies all standing on their sides, some even stacked on top of each other. He was dumbfounded, questioning how it was even possible. He cleared his throat and straightened his glasses as his boyfriend looked up. The moral Side smiled at him cheerfully as he sat down on the floor with him.

"Hey Lo! Taking a break?" he asked.

The logical Side nodded in response, still staring at the coins in confusion. "How on earth are you doing that?" he asked as Patton stood another quarter up on its side. His boyfriend gave him a slightly questioning look. He gestured at the coins stood up and stacked, shaking his head. "That can't be physically possible."

"Oh! I do this all the time! It's pretty easy actually," he replied, smiling as he did it again. "You just gotta not move too much so the coin balances itself out."

Logan scowled, picking up a coin to try it himself. Unfortunately, it wasn't as easy for him as it was for the other Side. Every time he thought he had it, the coin would topple over with a little noise that would make him flinch in surprise. He huffed, trying over and over again he glared at the coins. Patton just smiled as he watched him, finding the look of concentration on his face adorable beyond belief. As the coin fell over again, his boyfriend let out a whine of frustration, making the moral Side giggle. He glared at him, crossing his arms and sitting back as he gave up.

"It's an illogical thing to do anyway," he mumbled, pointedly looking away.

Patton just giggled again, moving around the coffee table to press a kiss to his hair. "You're right," he told him gently. The tension in his boyfriend's shoulders disappear as he moved to kiss his temple next. "That's probably why I can do it, you know, cause morality isn't always the most logical thing. That's why you're here! So I can do the silly things and you can do the smart things!"

Logan couldn't help but smile a little at his words, leaning into his touch. "I suppose you're right," he replied quietly.
