"Ruby came back for me," Sam finished after explaining what happened when he went after Lilith. "Whatever you have to say, she saved me. More than that, she got me through. What she said to me... it's what you would have said. If it wasn't for her, I wouldn't be here."

Dean and I were quiet following his confession and there was a knock on the door.

"Housekeeping!" the maid called in.

"Not now!" Dean yelled back.

"Sir, I've got clean towels."

Dean stomped over, wrenching open the door. The maid thrust the towels into his arms and walked over to Sam.

"Couldn't you just leave 'em at the door?" Dean asked her.

She ignored him, holding out a paper to Sam.

"I'm at this address."

"I'm sorry. What?" Sam asked, confused.

"Go now," the maid instructed. "Go through the bathroom window, don't stop, don't take your car, don't pass go. There are demons in the hallway and in the parking lot."

Sam's eyes widened in realization.

"Ruby?"

"Okay, yes, so I'm possessing this maid for a hot minute. Sue me."

"What about-"

"Coma girl? Slowly rotting on the floor back at the cabin with Anna, so I've got to hurry back," Ruby explained. "See you when you get there. Go!"

We got to the cabin that night. Ruby greeted us at the door when we arrived, Anna sitting inside.

"Glad you could make it," Ruby said.

"Yeah, thanks," Sam told her.

"Anna, are you okay?" I asked the other red head.

"Yeah," she nodded. "I think so. Ruby's not like the other demons. She saved my life."

"Yeah, we hear she does that," Dean mumbled, glancing at Sam then Ruby. "I guess I... you know."

"What?" Ruby asked.

"I guess I owe you for... Sam. And I just wanted... you know..."

"Don't strain yourself," the demon quipped.

"Okay then. Is the moment over?"

Ruby nodded.

"Good, cause that was awkward," Dean pushed past her.

"Hey, Eleanor, you think it'd be safe to me to make a quick call, just to tell my parents I'm okay? They must be completely freaked."

"Uh," I stammered, glancing back at Sam and Dean.

"What?" Anna inquired, following my gaze.

"Anna, um... Your parents..." I began.

"What about them?"

"Look, I'm sorry."

Realization flashed across Anna's features as she comprehended what I was trying to say to her.

"No, they're not..." she shook her head.

"Anna, I'm sorry," I repeated.

"Why is this happening to me?" the young woman asked, distraught.

"I don't know," I responded quietly.

Just then, Anna's eyes snapped to the door and a shiver went down my spine.

"They're coming," she said.

"Back room," Dean ordered.

I helped Anna in that direction before coming back.

"Where's the knife?" Ruby asked the Winchesters.

"Uh... About that..." Dean said.

"You're kidding," the demon scoffed.

"Hey, don't look at me," Dean defended.

I jabbed a thumb at Sam, who looked annoyed.

"Thanks a lot," he snapped.

"Great. Just peachy. Impeccable timing, guys, really," Ruby rolled her eyes.

The door to the cabin rattled violently before bursting open. Through it came Castiel and Uriel.

"Please tell me you're here to help," Dean said. "We've been having demon issues all day."

"Well, I can see that," Uriel said, staring at Ruby. "You want to explain why you have that stain in the room?"

"We're here for Anna," Castiel stated before we could respond.

"Here for her like... here for her?" Dean asked.

"Stop talking. Give her to us," Uriel demanded.

"Are you going to help her?" Sam asked.

"No," Castiel shook his head. "She has to die."

"You can't be serious," I said.

"Out of the way," Uriel said, stepping forward.

"Whoa, whoa, whoa," I stopped him, holding a hand out.

Just like when we met him during the summoning of Samhain, I thought I saw something that looked an awful lot like fear flash in Uriel's eyes at my action.

"Okay, I know she's wiretapping your angel chats or whatever, but that's no reason to gank her," I continued.

"Don't worry," Uriel smirked. "I'll kill her gentle."

"You're some heartless sons of bitches, you know that?" Dean asked.

"As a matter of fact, we are," Castiel responded. "And?"

"And?" Sam repeated. "Anna's an innocent girl."

"She is far from innocent," Castiel said.

"What's that supposed to mean?" Sam demanded.

"It means she's worse than this abomination you've been screwing," Uriel gestured to Ruby. "Now give us the girl."

"Sorry. Get yourself another one. Try JDate," Dean quipped.

"Who's gonna stop us? You three? Or this demon whore?"

Uriel threw Ruby and I against the wall. Dean attacked him while Cass went after Sam.

"Cass, stop... please," Sam begged.

Cass put two fingers against Sam's forehead and he fell to the ground. Uriel punched Dean, grinning.

"I've been waiting for this," he said.

Just then, a bright light engulfed the two angels and when it disappeared, they had both vanished.

"What the..." Dean trailed off.

He came over and helped me up and then Ruby who went over to Sam. He was starting to stir while Dean and I headed into the back room to check on Anna. Her arms and hands were covered in her own blood and there was a strange sigil drawn on a mirror with it.

"Anna? Anna!"

"Are they- are they gone?" Anna panted.

"Did you kill them?" I asked, looking at the sigil.

"No," she shook her head. "I sent them away... far away."

"You want to tell us how?" Dean asked.

"That just popped into my head," Anna nodded at the sigil. "I don't know how I did it. I just did it."

I helped Anna get cleaned up while Sam and Dean talked.

"Anna?" I bit my lip, unsure how to proceed.

"What is it?" Anna asked.

"One of the angels, Uriel, he seemed... scared of me. You wouldn't have happened to, uh, hear something about that, have you?"

"Your abilities. You can't just kill demons with them. You could kill angels, too, if you tried."

"If I tried... You said that about me hearing the angels, too," I swallowed.

"That's right," she nodded. "You could be a lot more powerful than you can imagine if you just channeled that part of yourself."

"What? Like Sam and his abilities?"

"No. No, Sam's abilities come from some place dark. Your abilities come from a place of light."

"Heaven?"

Before Anna could respond, Dean came in to check on us.

"We gotta get going," he announced.
