Peter drummed his fingers unconsciously on the window still. They were on a jet, flying for the land down under. Tony sat across from him, prepping FRIDAY to hack into the HYDRA database. MJ was in the cockpit, learning from the pilots how to fly a plane. The rest of the Avengers were scattered around the plane, assisting to various tasks. Thor was still confused on how the 'bird of metal' worked.

"Pete."

"Petey."

"Bud."

"Peter."

"Peter!"

"Hmm?" Peter pulled his eyes from the window, bringing his mind back to the present.

"You ok?" Tony asked, concern laced in his features.

"Yeah, just... I don't like planes, that's all. They make me paranoid. Especially in turbulence."

Tony flicked through the possible reasons before coming to the conclusion.

His parents.

Of course.

"We'll be ok. Nothing will happen on my watch."

Peter nodded before looking behind Tony. Fury walked down the aisle with a package in his hands. "Agent Parker, here is your suit."

Peter took the parcel in shock. "Thank-thank you, Mr Fury sir."

"What are you waiting for? Try it on!"

Peter walked into the bathroom and locked the door.

Tony look at Fury. "Hey Eyepatch, why isn't he going as Spiderling?"

Fury looked down his nose at Stark. "Because it's time that he learnt that Peter Parker is just as special as Spider-Man. Maybe even more, from what I've known from his parents."

Tony nodded.

"How do I look?"

Peter stood awkwardly in the doorway. It was a plain black suit, with padding and buckles and no mask. (See picture above.)

Fury blinked. For a second he had seen Richard.

"Excellent, Agent Parker. Let's go over the plan."

"Yes, sir."

Agent Parker studied the hulking black frame on the horizon.

"You ready?"

Peter nodded. He popped in his earpiece and placed his contact lenses. This allowed him to access Karen and see things as if he had his mask on. It would also stop HYDRA from using his iris to track him down.

"Karen, scan for the closest vent."

Karen pulled up visuals and located a vent for him.

"Checking comms... Tony, Ned, do you hear me?

"Loud and clear, Underoos."

"Ok." He breathed in. "I'm going in."

The sky was dark, revealing a stunning Milky Way across it's canvas. The air was cold in the red sandy desert, seeping through Peter's suit.
He slipped over the fence and up to the wall, being careful to avoid cameras. Unwinding the grate, he slipped through the vent.

Peter was the imposter, Peter joked to himself.

Hawkeye would be jealous.

"Karen," he whispered, "where is the vault?"

Down to your right and down the grate.

"Thank you." He lowered himself down carefully, not making a sound.

The room was empty except for the filing cabinets lining the walls. The spy made his way to the 'P' files and started flipping through them.

Palmer, Parmow, Parkalie,

Parker.

Peter pulled the file gingerly out and unzipped the large pocket on his chest. It was designed for this reason.

Once the file was secured, he shut the draw and headed for the vent. His eye caught on the slightly open 'A' draw.

I wonder...

He opened it gingerly and started from the back.

Axel, Awaul, Avor,

Avengers.

I thought so.

Peter zipped the file in the pocket and moved to the computer on the far wall.

"Ok, Tin-Can, Guy in the chair, let's get busting some software."

"Firewalls are down."

"Hacking into server."

"Downloading now..." The quiet taps of Ned's keyboard could be heard through the speaker.

Peter froze at the sound of footsteps. He couldn't turn off the computer or else the download would stop, but he couldn't get caught.

"Ned, you might want to hurry."

"One more minute."

"There's an intruder who might be here for files. Make sure the A files are secure."

Oh crap.

"Ned, are you done? I've got trouble headed my way."

"Thirty more seconds."

The door opened. A man stepped in with a heavy gun, not processing Peter in the room. He shut the door and locked before turning around and getting webbed in the face. Before he could cry out for helped, he was unconscious on the floor. Peter panted, fists still raised. He bolted to the computer, shutting it off before jumping into the vents

"I've been spotted! Prepare to blow in five minutes!"

"On it."

The boy scrambled through the chutes, hurrying out as fast as he could. "Is the base clear Karen?"

There is one hostage.

"Where?"

On your left.

He dropped into a small prison, empty from the two guards. "Sleepy time for you two!" Peter knocked them out in ten seconds before wrenching open the cell.
The hostage was a girl a year or two younger than Peter.

"Who are you?"

"No one, just saving your life, don't mind me." Peter dragged her to her feet and pushed her through the vents. "In there and turn right." He followed after her, directing the path to the outside. They jumped out and scaled the fence, Peter pulling her as far away as possible. They had just made it as the base exploded.

Peter shook his head dazed. He was on the ground, somehow.

The explosion.

The girl.

He turned and spotted the rubble and flames and the young prisoner unconscious. Picking her up carefully, he carried her bridal-style to the jet.

"Peter!" MJ threw her arms around his neck, startling him with the gesture. "You- I-  We thought you died!"

"I'm ok. Really."

She straighter stiffly. "Just... didn't want to lose an agent."

Peter nodded quickly. "Yeah." He cringed internally as his voice jump two octaves higher. "Banner?"

Bruce poked his head around the door. "Yeah?"

"I've got a patient for you." Peter held up the now awake girl in his arms.

"Put her on the bed."

Peter did as instructed and sat down. He pulled out the Avengers file and dropped it on Fury's lap before opening his parents'.

He stared dumbly at the writing.

Mary and Richard Parker found missing after plane crash

Renowned scientists Mary and Richard Parker vanished after plane accident

Whet did they go? The Parker couple dubbed as dead after hunt for two months.

"They went missing."

Everyone looked up at the boy.

"What?"

Peter looked up. "They went missing."
He was forcing the bubble of hope in his tummy to quiet down, not wanting to burst it if they were dead.

"Who?" Tony looked at the boy in concern.

"My parents. They're missing, not dead."

"What?" Tony rushed over to Peter's side, inspecting the article clippings closely. "But this could mean..."

"I know. I know." Peter felt his heart speeding up with excitement.

"Who are your parents?"

Everyone looked up at the girl, sitting placidly on the bed.

"Mary and Richard Parker."

She paused, thinking hard, chestnut brows knitting together over periwinkle eyes. "I've definately heard of them. I can't think how though." She wrinkled her nose, prying at her brain.

Peter looked at Tony. "Would Bucky know?"

"FRIDAY, call Capsicle for me."

Peter looked back to the file in his hands. He flipped through the pages.
It all seemed to be clippings and articles about his parents.
Peter started at a photograph. It was his parents in a crowd holding a toddler in their arms.

S.H.I.E.L.D agents Parker and Parker have been reported with a two year old male on repeated occasions.

They had tabs on me, he thought.
The teen flipped through the pages, trying to find something about him.

Name of son: unknown
Age: unknown

He turned to the next page.

A Peter Parker reported to attend Midtown High School of Science and Technology

Below was a horrible photo of Peter from when he first started at school.

Legal guardians: May Parker
Age: 15
Skills/ abilities: advanced in maths, science and robotics

No contact with S.H.I.E.L.D

Oh my gosh. Peter was shaking now. HYDRA, the most dangerous organization in the world, knew where he lived.

"Peter? Are you ok?" Tony walked over and held Peter's hand. "Hey, it's ok, relax. Relax."

"How can you tell me to relax?" Peter stood up sharply, yanking his hand away from Tony. "HYDRA has been tracking me my whole life. They could have found out about who I am! They could have killed my friends and family! They could have killed you! How can I relax with that thought!" Peter turned around and walked straight into MJ's arms. He didn't pull back. Instead he wrapped his arms around her, letting his tears fall onto his chest. MJ patted his head, not used to the physical affection.
"I'm sorry," he whispered, "I shouldn't have shouted. I just... I just don't want anyone getting hurt because of me."

Tony wrapped his arms around Peter. "Nor do I buddy."

The girl hopped off the hospital bed and picked up the folder. Peter had forgotten she was there.

"I'm sorry, I didn't get your name."

She looked up. "Evelyn. Call me Evie."

"Where are you from? We should get you home as soon as possible."

"Oh it's fine. I live in Sydney, I can just catch a plane to the airport and then get a train home."

She opened the file, picking up the picture that had fallen to  the floor.

"Oh, that just my parents."

"I've seen them before."

Peter froze.

"How?"

"They were moved from based to base for ages. I saw them at that base before they got shipped away."

"Do you know where they went?"

She looked at the desperate boy, blue eyes locking with brown. "I have an idea of where. Anybody got a map?

Tony pulled over the map. Evie traced her finger down through Antartica.

"Here." Her finger stopped. "Kemp land, Antartica, 75°South, 60°East.

"Are you sure?"

"Positive." She sighed. "Does somebody have water? They didn't let me near any."

"Why?" Peter unscrewed a bottle and handed it to her.

"Because-" she took the bottle from him- "I can do this."

She moved her hand. The water followed, moving out of the neck of the bottle in a large bubble. She spread her fingers suddenly, freezing the bubble into a snowflake.

"I can control any liquid." She placed the water back in the bottle. "You might need me in Antartica."

"OK, so we'll have Evie, Parker, Stark, Romanoff, Barton, Barnes..." Fury counted off his fingers.

"Don't forget Capsicle. I think he'll like the cold."

"Rogers. Is that all?"

"I think that should be good. We'll need as many people as we can get. That's a big base."

"It's not just a base." Ned's voice crackled through the comms. "Its the headquarters."

"Then we better get training. Tony, call Nat and get her to round up the crew. Banner, look after Evie and prepare the medical wing. Ned, I need you and MJ to gather as much intel as you can. This is going to be a big mission, so we gotta stay sharp and ready." Peter looked at every single person directly.

Everyone dispersed to their tasks.

"Nice work Parker." Fury clapped Peter on the shoulder. "It's good to have a Parker back in business."

Peter smiled. "The mission isn't over yet."
