It was just after midnight. The sky was dark, the new moon offering no light. Stars speckled the black canvas as the five supernatural teens snuck through an alley into a closed bar. Sparta popped the window open and motioned for the others to enter after her. Zia looked around when she slipped through, walking further in to get out of the way for the others.

"Aren't there alarms?" She wondered, looking over her shoulder at Akira, who was helping Aaron through the window, even though the winged girl didn't need the help. He waved a hand and black pellets of solidified shadows shot around the bar, finding their marks with a quiet crack.

"Not anymore." Akira said with a smirk. Zia rolled her eyes at him.

"Besides, they shut this place down. I doubt the owners still have cameras up around the place." Rick pointed out, jumping up onto one of the tables then on to the mini stage. Sparta followed him with a playful growl. Aaron smiled at the two of them then looked over at Akira, who was examining the shelves around the bar area.

"Akira..." Zia began to scold. The Phantom leaned against the counter, an innocent smile on his face, his hands behind his back.

"What? We're immortal, Z! How much more of age can you get? Besides... I've never gotten the chance to try any..." He complained. Zia narrowed an eye at him.

"Fine, but when you wake up naked in some alleyway miles away with no memory of how you got there, don't come crying to me." She snapped. Akira's eyes widened slightly, and he quickly stepped away from the bar, as if it was poisonous. Zia smirked at him before walking over to where Sparta and Rick were wrestling over a microphone. Akira leaned against the counter next to Aaron.

"Is that really what happens when people drink?" He asked her, having never seen the effects of alcohol on any one before. Aaron laughed, elbowing him lightly.

"Only if you drink too much, silly." She teased with a smile. Their eyes met and Akira smiled slightly, neither of them able to look away. Rick's voice blaring through speakers made the two jump, shattering the moment.

"Winged people and wolf people, ladies and, well... Akira!" Rick projected in an announcer's voice. Zia laughed at him, Akira and Aaron walking over to watch the events unfold, the phantom shooting Rick a playful glare. Sparta rolled her eyes and snatched the microphone from Rick.

"Hey, Zia! Get that karaoke machine running! Let's have a little fun!" She suggested. Zia flew over to the machine on the floor and fiddled with the controls while Rick tried to get the microphone back from Sparta, to no avail. A few seconds later, the speakers came to life, blasting a song none of them knew. Zia flipped through the songs until they got to one they all liked.

"Ooh! Let's do this one!" Zia exclaimed, hitting play and flying up onto the stage with the wolf twins. Aaron laughed and climbed up on the stage with them as the song neared the chorus.

"Come on, Akira!" The four encouraged. The dark angel just shook his head, laughing slightly.

"I don't sing." He said.

"Liar!" Zia laughed. Upon reaching the chorus, the four of them burst out into song, not caring if they were in tune or on the beat, just in it to have fun.

"So raise your glass if you are wrong in all the right ways! All my underdogs! We will never be, never be anything but loud and nitty, gritty, dirty, little freaks! Won't you come on and come on and raise your glass! Just come on and come on and raise your glass!" They all sang, jumping up and down, crowding around the microphone, laughing more than they were singing. Even Akira was laughing.

Before the song could finish, Rick must have done something to Sparta, because the two were in their wolf forms, chasing each other around the bar, then out through the open window. Zia laughed, jumping into the air.

"I'll go get them." She offered, flying out the window after them. Aaron was smiling, laughing as the song played on without them. Akira smirked and climbed up onto the stage. He grabbed an extra microphone and switched the songs. Aaron's eyes widened slightly.

"I-I thought you said you don't sing." She recalled. Akira shrugged, spinning the microphone in his hand.

"I don't sing in front of other people." He corrected. Aaron furrowed her eyebrows, about to point out that she was a person, when Akira smirked, putting a hand on her shoulder.

"You're an exception. Come on. You wanna sing or not?" He inquired with a mischievous smile. Aaron grinned and nodded, taking her microphone out of the stand and stepping back to make room for Akira.

"You're like a light within the dark." Akira began, not needing to read off the screen. "Just like an angel."

"You're breathing life into my heart. Just like an angel." Aaron sang, smiling at Akira.

"And you lead me through the darkest time
Gonna leave this world behind." The phantom continued, smiling back at her.

"Angel. Take me to a better place, where I see those brighter days. Angel. We'll seize the day and break away. My angel." They sang in harmony. Before the song could progress any further, Akira gently grabbed Aaron's chin and tilted her head upwards, their lips meeting. Akira pulled away, Aaron's face bright red. He smiled slightly, hugging her tightly, his wings wrapping around her.

"I will be your angel now and for the rest of time." He whispered in her ear. "I swear it." He smiled down at her, brushing a strand of hair out of her face.

"Aaron... I love you."
