I groaned as a bright light hit my eyelids and I struggled to open them.

Soon, I was able to and saw I was... In the meadow... Under pink trees... lying down.

Cherry blossoms...?

I struggled to get up, only to realize I felt someone's arms were holding me.

"Rest, Ricky. You're still recovering from a slight injury," a soft soothing voice whispered.

I look up and saw...

"Onyx," I murmured tiredly.

Why am I so tired?

She nodded as she looked down at me with sad grey eyes, stroking my hair gently. Her eyes showed so much sadness.

That's when I realized I had my head rested on her lap.

"Thank you," she said to me.

"What?" I asked. "F-For what?"

"You found me. You were the very first person to show any kindness or care towards me," she said. "You could have left me alone in the snow, but you didn't."

I felt a pang of guilt inside of me. A pang strong enough to make me jolt a bit.

"But... You died... I couldn't save you," I said, feeling tears prick my eyes.

"That doesn't matter, Ricky. You were still able to try and make sure I was alright," she said. "I didn't deserve your kind heart, and should have just been left in the snow."

"No!" I said a bit loudly and started to sit up, but then felt a sharp pain and whimpered.

Onyx cooed softly at me as she stroked my hair and help me gently, as of I were made of glass.

"You hurt your head with a tree root. I healed it a bit," she said.

I whimpered but then relaxed as the pain subsided.

Tears quietly stream down my cheeks as I continue looking at her. Her delicate fingers gently wiped away my tears.

She then took my arm gently in her hands and slowly pulls my hoodie sleeve down before carefully untying my bandages and revealing the cuts on my arms.

I began to cry quietly as she then bought my wrist to her rosy lips, and she kissed the cuts and scars.

"God I'm pathetic," I cried.

"No, you're not," she said.

"Y-Yes I am. I couldn't save you on time. I-I couldn't be strong for you. O-Onyx... I'm so sorry," I cried.

She sighed as her embrace became stronger.

"Ricky, please stop blaming yourself. You're not at fault," she said. "I'm going to help you through this, comfort you when you need it and are afraid. You're too beautiful to be hurting yourself like this. Unlike I did, you have so much to look forward to."

I sniffle as she then kissed my forehead softly and she helped me stand up.

I wobbled a but, but still stood up. Unfortunately, I then felt dizzy and started to sway a little bit.

I looked and saw Onyx held my hand.

Both her arms and hands were wrapped in white bandages, halfway up her forearm reaching her elbows. She wore a short lacy white dress that looked innocent, and white stockings that were dirty at the knees from where she was kneeling. Her dark black hair was adorned white white flowers around her head like a halo. White feathery wings opened behind her and glimmered in the sun.

I felt my knees become weak and I fall, but Onyx catches me.

"You're friends are worried on where you've gone. Its best you return to them," she said, placing her hand over my forehead.

Everything suddenly went black again.

Great.
