"You're just going to let her leave?" I questioned my friends in disbelief.

"If that's what she wants, then we can't stop her, Ban," Meliodas explained.

But, what's her reasons for leaving?!

Have they not asked her about it?!

"Yeah, you can't force her to stay if she doesn't want to, Ban. I mean, she talked about going back once you returned. She's still heartbroken, Ban, any woman would be after what happened," I grit my teeth at what an idiot I used to be.

I cheated on her, thinking that I'd get the regret off my chest from Elaine dying.

But the light of my life, my little water sprite, she turned darker then ever that day and it stormed like hell on Earth.

"Remember Renai?" Diane brought up.

"Renai. . .? Oh, yeah, that's Nixies' little sister. What about her?"

"The Holy Knights are holding her hostage, along with Water King Nagisa.
They've offered to free Water King Nagisa, along with Water Princess Renai, if Nixilia agrees to marry a Holy Knight by the name of Gilthunder."

Nixie. . .marry. . .a Holy Knight?

"N-no, this can't be right!" I burst out.

"It's what I want, Ban."

Turning around, Nixilia was all dressed up in her clothes and had two bags filled with her belongings.

"The others know that I'm not doing this because of force, I had an option. I'm not leaving my family for dead, I'm sorry, but it's been fun," She walked past me and out the door.

I ran after her.

"Ban, don't! You'll only make things worse!"

"Nixie! Are you really going to give up so easily?! The Nixie that I know wouldn't give up without a fight!" I shouted, catching up to her and grabbing her hands and bringing her closer to me.

"Ban, don't make this harder then it already is," She choked on a sob and I held her chin up to look at me.

There are those dark blue eyes I missed so much.

"Please, don't leave us, Nixie. We need you, I need you. We can fight them and-mm?!"

She grabbed me by my jacket and yanked me down, connecting her lips with mine.

And for once, I was the one who was shocked.

Kissing her back, my hands held her by her arms, pulling her closer to me.

"We need to stop!"

She suddenly shoved me away, still crying, and out of breath.

"I'm sorry, I-I can't be broken again.
Not when I just got started on piecing myself back together."

And she ran.

Only I didn't chase her like I should have.
