Ember's POV

I will never understand why people can't take jokes.

No, really. Can't they just understand what a joke is?

Rain and Stella are sometimes too serious.

"We know how to relax," Rain had said once. "It's just when we do relax, that's when we get attacked."

I decided to ignore him after that.

"Hey, um, who are those guys?" Moon asked.

I turned around to see Herobrine, Razer and Meeps.

"Oh hey," Herobrine said. "Didn't see you there."

I cleared my throat. "So how are you gentlemen doing today?" I asked.

"I'm a girl," Meeps told me.

"And ladies," I added.

"Hmmm, fine, hanging in there," Herobrine said, sulkily.

"We lost Null," Razer said. "We got in a fight with the Entity and some vexes, and Null was killed."

Herobrine looked away and grumbled something.

"And we're down another fighter," Razer continued, and I noticed that Meeps's arm was bleeding from several small, but deep, cuts.

"Razer, can I speak with you?" I asked.

Razer shrugged. "Sure,"

We walked away from the others, and when we were out of earshot I spoke what was on my mind. "I'm not sure if we can trust you guys," I told him.

"I guess that's fair," Razer said. "After all, Herobrine did cause an apocalypse."

"Wa it bad?" I asked.

Razer shot me a look that said wow, where were you back then? "Yeah it was," he replied.

There was a moment of silence before Razer spoke up. "I am not a villain, Ember. It just seems like people just painted me that way. But perhaps, that's what happens when you make an alliance with a former evil for the greater good."

"What are you saying?" I asked.

"I'm saying that you can't always judge somebody," he said. "You never know what's hidden within them."

I was quiet as Razer walked away.
