The first thing to know about writing is this: there is no right or wrong way to do it. That's the whole point of creating, to get creative! You make the rules and that's that. No one can tell you what you can and can't do, you're absolutely free! (One of the many, many reasons I enjoy writing so much.)

But it doesn't hurt to get advice from others. Whether it be a friend here on wattpad or someone from another writers group. (You can get opinions from non writer friends and family too if you'd like, though this is not typically well advised, as family and friends don't generally judge your work critically )

Personally, I make it a point to find as many resources as I possibly can. I'm always, always, always on the look out for more resources, more advice. Always, always, always looking to improve. Because you could be the greatest writer in the world and still have room for improvement. (Don't be cocky and assume that "oh my work is great because it has a lot of reads so I just won't try to improve and shut down anyone who tries to give me constructive criticism." You must keep an open mind!)

Below, in the following "chapters", (I was going to put it all in one great big chapter here, but ultimately there are too many great resources out there so I've decided instead to use this part as a header of sorts and have the actual chapters after that way we can dive deep into each resource!) I will provide a list of some resources that I use. You don't have to use them if you don't find them helpful, but I highly recommend at least giving them a chance, because they were very helpful to me.
