Everything  seems like butterflies and rainbows in they fantasy world, a happy world where people were friends with one another. That was the world of the Romen's and Lennon's.

It started off in 1850, a young boy named Atlas Romen left his house to venture off. Whilst walking to the small park he laid eyes on the beautiful Rosa Lennon.

Rosa was a beautiful girl. Bright red hair that was curled on the ends. Beautiful freckles scattered on her pale cheeks. Her teal eyes glimmering in the summer sun as her white sun dress danced as she swung back and forth.

Atlas was in a trance. No girl could ever been more beautiful in his eyes. He himself also had red clean hair. Yet his family was full of blondes. Atlas smirked as he approached the girl on the swings.

"Well, why is a beautiful girl like you all alone?" Atlas asked while getting onto a swing.

The girl stays silent, the squeaky sound of the chains moving faded. Rosa then takes a leap off the swing and lands her feet on the soft grass.

"I wouldn't call 16 being a girl. I consider myself as a woman. That's what my mother always said." Rosa spoke softly. "Your that boy.. from the Romen mansion, I presume."

Atlas walks towards the girl and bows. "Indeed I am, and your Rosa Lennon. I only saw glimpses of you at school, but now that I'm staring at you, your more beautiful then I imagined. "

Rosa laughed, "Atlas, that's a tad to much to say to a girl whom you just met."

"My apologies Rosa. Let me make it up to you and invite your family to my mansion for dinner. I believe we are having lobster and caviar."

"Wow, expensive. The folks and I just  eat at a local diner, but it may be interesting eating something so bizarre. I'm in!" Rosa says.

The two smile and one another before taking off towards their homes.

-----

The Lennon's enter the Romen's mansion. It looked like they had just entered a castle. Whites clashed with blacks, crystal chandeliers hung in the entry, and a huge birch dining table in a elongated room.

The Lennon's sit down and wait for the Romen's to make their grand appearances. The first to enter was Atlas. He smiles and sits by Rosa. Following after were his parents. They dressed in expensive glittery suits and dresses, it was almost like looking at a human disco ball.

"Pleased to make your acquaintances, Mr and Mrs. Romen." Mrs. Lennon thanked.

Mrs. Romen scowls at Mrs. Lennon. "I thought you had money Mrs. Leon."

"Its actually Lennon-"

"I DONT care. Mrs who ever you are.  Let's get this dinner over with so I don't have to stare at your wretched clothes." Mrs. Romen spat.

For the rest of the time, the table stayed silent. Whenever Rosa or Atlas began to talk Mrs. Romen would slap her son so hard that it would echo across the mansion.

After dinner was over the Lennon's quickly and quietly left, except Rosa wanted to talk to Atlas one last time. As her parents left the mansion Rosa quickly ran up to Atlas's room and closes his door.

"Rosa! Im so sorry about my parents..."

"Its ok Atlas, I don't blame you, your nothing like your parents. I'll see you at school tomorrow." Rosa replied softly before turning  away and leaving.

Then, Mrs. Romen barged into Atlas's room. A scowl laying on her face. "The next time you see that wretched little brat slap her. Tell her to die. Something like that. If you don't, I'll kill both of her parents and send her to the factory. "

Atlas looked at his mother terrified. He didn't want to harm Rosa at all, but he knew too well that his mother was not one to joke. So the following day Atlas goes to school and bumps into Rosa at lunch.

Rosa smiled as the sun beamed on her face. "Atlas!! Over here."

Atlas slowly makes his way over to Rosa and her friends.

"Atlas, these are my friends! This is Summer-" SMACK.

Before Rosa could finish her sentence,  Atlas smacked her in the face. A red handprint laying on the side of her head.

"A.... Atlas?"

"Shut it tramp. Go die in a hole, worthless scum like you belong in a waste dump." Atlas spoke with  a straight face. Then he walked away, showing no remorse or regrets.

That's when the feud began. The happy town was now a war between the most richest families there. As the years are passed down, each of the generations hated each other. Not one ever dared to have a civilized talk. Then when what they call 'The red string' generation emerged. Showing whom would be destined to marry who. The two families feared to have their children be connected with the other family, and thankfully for 100 years it hadn't. That was, until the first twins from each house was born.

From the Lennon's was Judith and Juda. Both having their slight reddish brown hair resembling their ancestor Rosa. For the first time, even if it was just a hue, was their a red hair in that family. They were also born on the exact same month, day, and last two year digits as Rosa.

As for the Romen's, they had one blonde and one red haired boy, the blond Ashton, and the red Miles. Neither Ashton or Miles resembled their family. For they all had dark or black hair, leaving their blonde and red Gene's behind, so it sure was a coincidence that they had that hair. And like the other twins, their birthday was the same month, day, and last two digits of the year Atlas was born.

Now, knowing how much different their lives are coming, both families fear the worst. They both fear, that by the time their kids are Juniors... that both of the families will finally merge.
