Sparkkit awoke. Yawning, she looked outside the nursery. It was a bright, sunny day. "Sparkkit!" Called her mother, Shadowflower. "Yes?" Sparkkit asked. "I'm going for a hunt. I'll be back soon. While I'm gone Echokit is in charge" Shadowflower explained, but Sparkkit grumbled. "Echokit isn't any fun.." She hissed when Shadowflower left the nursery. Echokit padded up to Sparkkit. "I volunteered us to clean the elders ticks. So let's go!" She exclaimed. Sparkkit grumbled at her sibling as she walked out of the nursery.

After finishing the ticks, Shadowflower appeared at the entrance of the camp, smiling at the two kits. Echokit started rambling about being a apprentice and what not. They padded back to the nursery. Jitterkit and Aspenkit looked at the two from the nursery "Wait, Echokit, did only me and you help the clan out?" Sparkkit said. "Maybe." Responded Echokit. Sparkkit sighed, soon Shadowflower came back, smiling at the kits "Tomorrow is a very big day. You will be six moons old." She said softly

  Sparkkit bounced around happily with her siblings. Soon she would be know was sparkpaw! She couldn't wait! Shadowflower chuckled. "You guys go play." She said softly. Sparkkit nodded, bouncing out of the nursery with her siblings. "I can't wait!" Exclaimed Aspenkit, Echokit rolled her eyes "If your going to be an apprentice, start acting like it!" She stated. Sparkkit sighed, watching a moss ball fly passed her, hitting Echokit on the head "Hey!" She growled "Oops." Laughed Jitterkit. Sparkkit laughed "Nice catch Echokit." She teased. "You guys are no fun." Grumbled Echokit, padding back to the nursery. Aspenkit laughed "Us? No fun?" Sparkkit chuckled.

   Soon it was starting to get dark "Kits!" Called Shadowflower "Time to go to sleep. Tomorrow is a big day!" Although Sparkkit didn't want to go to bed, she knew in the morning she will be a apprentice.
