'How long...'

'How long has it been since then?'

'I can't seem to remember much of what happened afterwards, but I can remember what happened before.'

A quick memory would flash by as we can see two of individuals running down a corridor.

Random G.U.N Soldier: Take out anyone and anything that has a connection to Project Shadow, we're putting an end to these experiments!

A random soldier would exclaim as gunshots could be heard, followed with the screams of other scientists who were gunned down on the scene.

Another memory would flash between as the two individuals kept running until they got into a room with an escape capsule. Though one of the individuals ran towards a control panel that activated one of the capsules, trapping the other individual inside.

The person inside the capsule had black spiky hair with red streaks and wore black and red clothing while also wearing gold rings on his wrist and ankles. The boy had red eyes and had a look of shock on his face as he looked at the individual near the control panel.

???: Maria?! Maria, what the hell are you doing?!

He began to kick and punch at the capsule in desperation.

Maria: Kuro...I want you listen to me for a second.

The boy named Kuro began to plead with the girl.

Kuro: Maria please! We don't have time for this-!

The door suddenly barged open as a soldier with a gun ran in and saw Maria near the control panel.

G.U.N Soldier: Stay where you are and put your hands in the air, NOW!

The guy pointed his gun at her as Maria froze.

Kuro's eyes widened in anger.

Kuro: You bastard, don't you dare hurt her!!!

Maria looked at the soldier and looked at Kuro, before she steeled her nerves and moved to press a button.

G.U.N Soldier: I SAID FREEZE!

Suddenly a loud gunshot was heard.

Kuro: MARIA!!!!!

'From there on, I felt hatred for humanity for taking away my only friend. Though everything after that was a blur, all I remember was her getting shot at for sending me to this planet before I was found and placed inside stasis for who knows how long.'

'Ever since then I've been left alone with my memories of her and that horrid day, the anger I had for humanity not dwindling at all in the slightest. The burning urge to avenge her death still deep within me.'

'I just wish...I had the chance to see her again. . .'

'But alas, there was no way I was getting out of here anytime soon. I don't even know where exactly I was, that's how long I've been asleep.'

He wanted to get out of this damned prison. He wanted to make them pay. He wanted to kill the bastards responsible for taking away the people most precious to him.

And most importantly...

HE WANTED REVENGE

Dark red streaks of lightning suddenly appeared and crackled around the capsule as Kuro suddenly opened his eyes.

Kuro: Maria...I promise you...REVENGE!

The capsule and everything near it suddenly blew up. Smoke covering the entire room, and standing alone in that room was a lone human. Reawakening after 10,000 years, not knowing that the world he remembered was once gone and was now completely different.

Only fueled with the one desire to avenge Maria.

Kuro: They will pay dearly for that they've done. I'll make sure of it. For I am the ultimate life form....Kuro Akuma!!!

This is the story of Kuro Akuma, the ultimate lifeform and humanity's last hope. Will he learn to let go of the past haunting him and learn more about himself while making allies and enemies alike? Or will he continue to be blinded by his anger and end up destroying the planet because of it?

Authors Note: I tried to do something original and tried to also add Shadow's old personality into the mix before he remembered his promise with Maria and simply wanted revenge on the planet for what happened on the arc, anyway, this story has officially started and I'm excited to see how it goes.
