In a large jungle system located near the coast of a Floating Island, a pod with something or Someone inside of it sat there getting ready to be opened.

"Analysis complete, Iwao Chikara, Age: 13, Year: 12,020. Good morning Iwao..."

The pod suddenly opened as a boy with red hair fell out as he let out an audible groan.

Iwao: Ugh...where the hell am I...?

He got up as he looked around, instantly remembering what happened. The wave, his friends, Kaze and Amai, all three of them being placed in pods. It was obvious what happened.

Iwao: So...I guess the rest of the humans...were wiped out...and I'm one of the remaining few, seeing how those two were also placed in pods.

Iwao took some time to even let the new info sink in. Sure, he missed his family and friends although he was used to being alone, he had Kaze and Amai to make up for it. But on the other hand, he didn't really feel sorry for humanity, he felt their downfall was karma just coming back to bite them...as Kaze said before on their many hellish days in school, "one of these day, they'll get what's coming to them."

Iwao: I guess he was right...

Iwao chuckled to himself as he recalled that day. Kira and his little followers, thinking they owned the place, they must've got their sick kicks from messing with them everyday, and not just them but the other students as well, and it didn't help the fact that the teachers didn't help. At times, he always hated how whenever they were getting bullied or humiliated by the students, they did nothing and simply gave them a slap on the wrist but whenever He, Kaze, or Amai actually tried to stand up for themselves, they immediately got in trouble for it. Iwao felt absolutely NO sympathy for the rest of the humans aside from a select few.

With that being his only thoughts at the moment, he began walking around the area. Exploring the environment he was currently in. He immediately realized that the entire place was literally a large jungle system, comparable to a tropical paradise even and with the many palm trees as well as the many waterfalls to finish it off.

Iwao: This place is pretty peaceful...if I'm being completely honest, I could get used to this. Maybe I can find some things to help me survive, some water and clothes being a start.

Iwao stated as he began running up a nearby mountain range in hopes to find anything that could help him. By the time he made it, the view was...simply beautiful...but Iwao also noticed a small village in the distance.

Iwao: Maybe that place will have some answers... as well as some new clothes...now let's see here...the walk shouldn't be that long-!!!

Iwao was cut off as a strong gust a wind blew right by him as it caught him off guard. Due to that, he fell off the edge of the cliff.

Iwao: SHIT! SHIT! SHIT! SHIT!

Our reshot headed redhead screamed a whole bunch of curse words as he descended. If he didn't do something he would most likely fall to his death.

Iwao instantly placed in arms in front of him and got into a position where he was sorta flying. It saved him from his fall, but not really for long as he landed on the ground.

Iwao: I don't know what that was about...but it's never happening again...

Iwao uttered as he made he began walking to the village. Once he made it, he immediately realized just how abandoned everything was.

Iwao: What the hell happened here...?

He questioned as he kept walking.

Iwao: This place...has some sort of familiar feel to it...I don't know why...but I feel like I was meant to be here after the pod let me out...maybe exploring this place a bit more will give me some answers.

He then went into one of the houses as the sign had a language he recognized. And what it said surprised him.

Iwao: W-What...? T-That's-!

That's right...the sign had Iwao's last name on it. Without a word, Iwao walked inside of the abandoned house, and everything, to say the least...looked normal. Some items a little misplaced but all in all, looked completely intact.

Iwao: What the hell even happened here...?

(Simple Iwao, Chaos happened😃)

Iwao looked around and noticed some clothes scattered around. He picked them up and inspected them, and came to the conclusion that these would fit him.

He quickly put them on as he now had a red shirt with a white crest on the chest area and wore black pants. He also had gloves with pointed knuckles on them. And to finish it all off, he now wore red and yellow shoes with green cuffs and metal plates.

He also noticed his hair grew out and he now had purple eyes. Which completely shocked him, but he soon came to the conclusion that he must've went through some kind of change while he was in the pod.

Iwao: Wow, I look good!

With that now out of the way, he left the house, paid his respects to whoever lived there in the past and continued exploring as he left the village.

After some time:

Iwao: This place is very cool. I explored every nook and cranny of this place. But I do have this weird feeling...it feels like some weird power that's trying to pull me to the source. I don't know how to explain it but...it feels like some sort of connection.

So Iwao decided to look for the source while he felt the connection growing, which told him he was getting closer to the source.

Soon enough, he eventually made it to an altar which was located in some kind of cave area. And in the center of it all, was a giant green emerald shining brilliantly. You could almost feel it's brilliance just by looking at it.

(It just the master emerald and the Super Emeralds are grey just like they are in Sonic 3 and Knuckles until you actually collect them.)

Iwao: Whoah...that...huge gemstone...what's it doing in a place like this...?

Iwao made his way to it and slowly placed his hand on it and saw some things. It went from, him fighting a boy around his age in blue clothes and another kid with two tails to a whole other group of people that looked liked him being covered in a bright light and it all ended in the boy in blue shining in different kinds of colors.

???: You are the guardian of the Master Emerald...Iwao Chikara...

Iwao: Wha-?! Who's there?! Hello?!

Iwao called out...but on one answered.

Iwao: The Master Emerald huh...? Well, alright then. I'll protect you with my life!

It was from that moment on that Iwao Chikara vowed to protect the Master Emerald and Angel Island from harm, no matter what threat it was. He would rather die then fail...even if it were his friends that became a threat...he would have to deal with them as well...since then, he has trained, discovered a newfound strength and abilities he thought he never had. He was now strong enough to break boulders and even throw them with no effort. And to top it all off, he could glide, which was a pretty cool ability.

And now currently, Iwao was guarding the island and more importantly, Master Emerald. That was until he heard some loud rumbling and eventually saw the source.

It was a huge space shuttle that had some person's face on it. And it was rising high into the air, presumably space.

Iwao glared.

Iwao: What the hell...?

Iwao had many thoughts about what was currently going on. This was the one new thing that has happened aside from him becoming the guardian of Angel Island and the Master Emerald. But more importantly, the giant shuttle that oddly had a man's face on it answered one of his many questions. And that was the fact that humans or some humans survived, Iwao wasn't a tech guy but hanging around Amai so much allowed him to tell that a human made that mech.

All Iwao had to worry about was protecting his island and that was it. If that thing attempted to cause harm to his island then he would act accordingly and defend it.

(Kinda just called it man-)

Shortly after, the damn thing exploded. Iwao had to admit, whoever it was that blew it up did a damn good job. Currently, Iwao was in the Hidden Palace zone where the Master Emerald was. He was currently sitting in front of it, minding his own business until he heard a big rumble from above.

Iwao: What the hell is going on now?!?

Iwao asked angrily as he went to go look for the cause of the disturbance. He angrily walked across the hallway until he eventually ran into a big round man with a mustache, and throwing  like a three-year old. This man was none other then Doctor Ivo Robotnik,  and he was currently going through the loss of another big plan for world domination and to finally wipe out that disgusting sub-species by two kids. Mainly Kaze, but Amai still helped him. And it didn't help the fact that they had the Chaos Emeralds.

Iwao: Uh...alright, look who are you and what are you doing on MY island?!

Iwao screamed at the man as the man looked at him in surprise.

Dr. Robotnik: Another human?! First the blue brat and the blond brat with the fox tails and now this?!

Iwao: Excuse me? What do you mean "another human"?

Dr. Robotnik: Two other humans apparently survived and they have been a huge thorn in my side from the moment they woke up from their pods!!!

Iwao quickly grabbed Robotnik by the collar.

Iwao: WHAT DID THEY LOOK LIKE?! WHAT WERE THEIR NAMES?!

Robotnik was about to make his rebuttal but stopped and thought for a second. This boy seemed a little more older than Kaze, which would also mean he's a lot stronger judging by his appearance and if he plays his cards right, then he can use this boy to take out that damn brat, Kaze!

Robotnik smiled as he began speaking, telling Iwao everything that has happened up till this point. The Chaos Emeralds, Kaze, Amai. He even made up some bullshit story of how he was trying to protect the emeralds and the animals from Kaze and Amai because they wanted to terrorize everything around them, he even said they ROBBED him of the emeralds. And since Iwao hasn't been around people as much and hasn't seen Kaze nor Amai since the wave...he believed everything he said and considered the duo major threats to Angel Island.

Iwao: I see...

Iwao thought for a second. From Robotnik' story Kaze and Amai were the bad guys and that also meant that they were threats and Robotnik looked like he was being honest. With that, Iwao finally decided...

Iwao: Alright. I'll help.

And so, Iwao showed Robotnik the master emerald, which was a pretty big mistake on Iwao's part due to how Robotnik came up with an even greater plan. The Death Egg crash landed on Angel Island. So the Doctor pretty much tricked Iwao into stealing the Chaos Emeralds from Kaze and Amai while also dealing with them. So while Iwao was busy dealing with them...the Master Emerald would be wide open for the taking.

Robotnik smiled evilly as Iwao cracked his knuckles and walked off.

*Meanwhile...*

Kaze and Amai were currently flying to the island the Death Egg crash landed. The island was currently in the water. Amai theorized that the Death Egg landing on that floating island must have weighed it down towards the ocean. He was also getting some strange energy readings as well.

Amai: Alright Kaze! Are you ready?!

Kaze: I was born ready! Let's test it out!

Kaze said as he jumped off the Tornado but quickly appeared into frame as he now had a golden aura with his hair and clothes being yellow, his green eyes now red.

Super Kaze: I'll meet you on the island!

Amai: Got it!

With that, Kaze, in his Super Form sped off.

(AN: END THE THEME HERE)

Within seconds, he was already in a lush green forest. He admired the view as he kept flying,  although that would be short-lived as he got received an uppercut to his jaw. The attack came out of no where as he was knocked out of his super form and landed on the ground.

Kaze: Ow...that was a cheap shot!!

Amai appeared.

Amai: Kaze! Are you alright?!

Kaze: Yeah, I'm fine Amai. It's this guy we gotta worry about!

Kaze stated as he and Amai looked at the boy in red hair. Kaze and Amai finally encountered Iwao, their friend that they haven't seen since the wave, though it would seem reunions would need to be cut short...as the third adventure began. The final chapter that reunited this trio of humans for the future of the world in this early part of their story.
