Bones' POV:
The beeping. That's all you heard for two weeks. The heartbeats. Kirk's and Zaylee's. They were in sync.

It was amazing. They didn't stop. The hearts were together as one. Almost. That's what it sounded like when you walked into the room. I knew they'd wake up but I didn't know when. Chekov only left her bedside to go to the bathroom. And I didn't tell anyone that Zaylee was pregnant. Chekov sat next to her bedside, his head on her arm. Kirk laid in the bed next to hers. Everyone came by and always checked on them. But Pavel and I were the only ones that were here all day everyday. I heard the most obnoxious growling. Chekov buried his head in Zaylee's chest and I said "go eat." Chekov looked up and said "I don't vant to." "Well your gonna vant to. Go." I replied. Chekov said "don't imitate my accent. Leave me alone." I snickered and said "go." He muttered things in Russian as he walked out. I made sure everything was ok and I heard shuffling. I turned around and Chekov wasn't in the room. I furrowed my eyebrows and saw Kirk.

I stumbled back and said "damn it Jim!" Jim looked around and said "what happened?" "You died. And I saved you." I replied. Jim said "you saved my life...." I grabbed an instrument and began waving it around his face. "Bones." He groaned. "Shut up Jim I gotta make sure your ok. I care about you, damn it." I replied. Jim rolled his eyes and sighed. I huffed and said "same old Jim."

Jim said "get that thing out of my face." He tried to swat me away and I said "damn it. I'm trying to do something here." "Pavel....?" Kirk perked up when he saw Zaylee looking around. Her voice was weak and she said "he's dead isn't he?" There was running footsteps. Loud but very light footsteps. Running towards this room. "Oh damn it what is it?" I asked annoyed. "Move, move, move, move!"

Kirk snickered and Zaylee smiled really big. Chekov ran in and Zaylee tried to sit up. I helped her sit up and he hugged her. Tears fell from the boys eyes as he cried into the crook of her neck. "I'm ok baby." She said. Chekov pulled away and said "I'm sorry. I'm sorry for leaving you." I smiled at them and Jim said "Chekov where's my hug?" He sniffled and walked over to Jim and hugged him tightly.

Zaylee's POV:
Pavel hugged Kirk and I smiled at the two of them. Pavel walked back over and grabbed me and kissed me. Bones said "good god." Kirk cheered us on from where he sat and Bones groaned in disgust.

"What have you been doing?" I asked. "Vaiting for you." Pavel replied. I blushed as did he.

Pavel and I stared into each other's eyes for a minute. "I have some news." Bones said. Pavel sat down on the bed next to me. Kirk sat up a little and Bones said "prepare yourself Chekov. This is for you." Pavel's eyes widened and Bones muttered something under his breath. "Vhat?" He asked. Bones muttered the same thing under his breath. "Spill the beans Bones!" Kirk said. "Damn it Jim she's pregnant!" Bones replied irately. Pavel's eyes widened and I bit my lip. Kirk said "I don't feel right."

Bones and Pavel stared at him with shocked faces.

Bones said "Jim what the hell is your problem?" "Because she's having a kid! And Chekov's gonna be a father. And I'm just in shock right now Bones. I think you drugged me up with too much medicine." Kirk replied. Bones rolled his eyes and said "Jim your fine." Pavel looked at me and said "your having a baby." I nodded and said "looks like we are." Pavel smiled really big and stood up. "Ë-Moë!" Pavel said happily. I giggled and blushed.

I giggled and Pavel said "I'm gonna be a dad!" Kirk made a face and said "sit down." Pavel shook his head and began jumping up and down. He ran around the room screaming "I'm gonna be a dad!" Bones' eyes widened and he tried to stifle his laughs. Kirk shook his head and said "so who am I gonna be?" "Uncle Kirk!" Pavel said. Kirk's eyes widened and he said "great." Pavel jumped up and down and ran around the room. Uhura walked in along with Sulu and said "what's going on?" "I'm gonna be a dad!" Pavel said as he jumped around. Uhura smiled really big and hugged me and Sulu said "yes!" He high fived Pavel and I smiled really big. They began to dance around the room and Kirk was just flabbergasted.

I giggled at the three of them and Bones tried not to laugh. Kirk said "nobody's gonna deal with the fact that Chekov is now a dad. And at what like 19 years old?" Bones said "what does it matter?" "Cause I'm not gonna be a dad till I'm 35." Kirk replied. Everyone laughed and Kirk rolled his eyes. Pavel walked over and sat next to me. He put his hand on my stomach and said "zat's our little baby in there." I smiled and said "yep. Our little baby's in there." Bones said "oh god." Uhura said "that's so cute!" Kirk didn't know what to say. Scotty walked in with Keenser and said "what'd I miss?" "I'm gonna be a dad!" Pavel said. Scotty put his hand on Pavel's shoulder and Pavel did the same. I giggled at the two of them until they fell.

Scotty faked fainting , dragging Pavel with him. Kirk said "what the hell guys? Get up." "Is it gonna be a boy or a girl?" Scotty asked. I said "I want it to be a boy. So he'll have curly hair like Pavel." Pavel shrugged and Scotty said "wow. I just can't believe your pregnant. It's amazing!" Scotty pointed towards Pavel and I and Kirk rolled his eyes.

"I can't wait to meet this child! And your gonna be Uncle Kirk. And I'll be Uncle Scotty!" "Scotty." Kirk said, rolling his eyes.

"It's gonna be great!" Scotty said. "If your an uncle that means your old." Keenser said. "Get aff! Shut up!" Scotty said. I snickered and Bones cleared his throat. Uhura said "I'd like to be the godmother." Pavel smiled towards her and she hugged him and he hugged her back. Spock walked in. He was proper and he said "have I missed something? I believe I have." Pavel nodded eagerly and said "I'm gonna be dad!" He jumped up and down and Spock's eyes widened.

Spock said "that's very illogical." "Vhy is zat?" Pavel asked. "Because I did not expect you guys to be having children so early." Spock replied. Pavel shrugged and said "zat doesn't matter! I'm gonna be a dad!" He ran out of the room and began yelling it down the halls. Bones said "um....somebody please go get him. He's going to embarrass himself." Sulu said "I'll go." He walked out and began screaming Pavel's name. I laughed and Bones said "you should be back on your feet in a few days. That way you'll be ok for when they honor us. They've been waiting for you and Jim to wake up." "They've been waiting on us?" Kirk asked. Bones nodded and said "they've been very concerned." Kirk said "that's cool." I said "I'm hungry." Kirk fake coughed and said "pregnant alert." I flipped him off and he said "woah I'm sorry. I had to cough." Uhura laughed and Spock said "I do not get it." "Pregnant girls are always hungry, pointy." Kirk replied. Spock's eyebrows raised and he said "is that a derogatory term towards me?" Kirk smiled and said "maybe."

Spock didn't say anything and just stood there. Bones said "he doesn't mean it." "Yes I do. Don't lie to him Bones." Kirk replied. Spock tilted his head and stared at him. It was silent for about 2 minutes while Kirk and Spock had a staring contest. "Your going to lose." Spock said. "Not today satan." Kirk said. I snickered and Scotty and Bones bet money on who was going to win. Scotty obviously bet on Kirk and Bones bet on Spock. Kirk said "your gonna lose." "We'll see about that captain." Spock said. I watched them intently and Sulu still hadn't got Pavel. Kirk finally gave up and Spock smirked as he won. Bones got his money from Scotty and Kirk said "it's only cause I'm hyped up with drugs." Spock said "I don't see how that is relevant." Sulu walked in with Pavel who was giggling. "I'm gonna be a dad." He said as he hiccuped. "He found his liquor you stole Bones and thought he should do a few celebratory shots." Sulu said. Bones' eyes widened and Pavel plopped into a chair. "I'm gonna be a freaking dad." Pavel said drunkenly. Bones looked at him and Kirk snickered. Uhura said "why did you have his liquor?" "Because he doesn't usually drink it so I took it. It was in his locker." Bones replied. Pavel stumbled over and kissed me drunkenly. He giggled and Sulu said "good job Bones." "Everyone needs to just rest. We're being honored soon." Bones said.

2 days later
We sat in the audience as Kirk made a speech about our crew. "Shout out to Zaylee and Pavel on they're baby." He said. People cheered and I blushed and Pavel smiled proudly. He interlocked his hand with mine and Carol smiled towards the two of us. We were all given awards for the sacrifices we made. Pavel stood next to me proudly. I leaned my head on his shoulder we accepted our awards. I knew this would be a long year until the Enterprise was fixed.
