The dead did stay dead after so. When Jungkook came back to life everyone wondered if the dead were still dead and they were. It was a relief actually, to know that they didn't have to fight for their lives every single day but now they had to get back to living a normal life. Well- maybe not that normal but it was better than killing the dead every single day. The moment Jungkook came back to life, Namjoon's father started his research. Between Jungkook, Jimin, and himself. Figuring out all the ways this happened, how it happened, and the cure. Although they didn't actually need it anymore since the ones who were infected would die along with the virus.

Which was a good thing. Sure, they could have saved a lot of people but that would mean Siwoo would be prodded with needles all day long every single day, and saving every single person? Wasn't going to work. If anything saving living people around the world was much better than trying to cure all the infected. Plus... no one could know about this situation. It would put them all in danger if anything- because no one would understand their situation. Hell people would probably try to kill Jungkook. Their son- god they couldn't explain what he was but that was their little protector, and now it was time for Taehyung and Jungkook to protect him.

"If needed, we do have five cures stacked away but with all the tests I've run, we're going to be okay." Joon's father looked at Jungkook and Jimin who were in the room with him. "I'm as healthy as I was before I turned and Jimin is clear. Healthy and the virus in our body is nowhere to be seen. All healthy cells. As for Jungkook... the virus is still lingering but!" The man stopped before Jungkook could panic. "It's because you've lived with it for your whole life basically. The cure is slowly consuming your body, and your son just helped it fight back. I'll keep an eye on you but it shows that you're going to be okay." Joon's father smiled.

Standing up, Namjoon's father looked at Jungkook and held out his hand. "I'm Kim Namgil, Namjoon's father and... the partner of Iseul and Jongsoo, the people who did this to you." Namgil gulped back the lump in his throat before he grabbed papers from the desk he was sitting at. Not before grabbing a key from his pants and unlocking it though. "This is your file. Everything they needed to know about you." Namgil grabbed the file and gave it to Jungkook who felt his heart drop into his stomach. Not expecting Namgil to have his file since it's been a while since those people took him 'in' or whatever.

Nodding, Jungkook grabbed the file and was about to walk out to find Taehyung until Namgil spoke up. "I'll be here if you need anything. I'll also check on Siwoo, his blood and how it works." The male assured Jungkook who nodded at that too. In all honesty? Jungkook felt different. Not like before- and it was weird. Then again it was like Namgil said, he lived with that virus for his whole life basically and now the virus was almost basically gone? Jungkook was bound to feel different. Caught in his head, Jungkook kept at his walk until he laid eyes on Taehyung on the bed with Seokjin tending to Taehyung.

Taehyung went through so much within four days and that was taking a toll on Taehyung's body and so he was on bed rest until further notice with Seokjin keeping care of Taehyung while also keeping care of Siwoo and Jungkook. "Family doctor working double time." Jungkook walked towards the three and sat down next to his lover who was watching the sleeping boy sleep peacefully on the bed. "The family doctor needs a break. Taehyung is improving. Just needs a little more sleep and water and he'll be up on his feet in no time. The incision is healing too, surprisingly. Aren't I a natural huh?" Seokjin teased since he was the one who did the stitches.

With a chuckle, Taehyung watched Seokjin walk away as Jungkook got closer to Taehyung. Resting back, Taehyung looked at Jungkook and brushed his hair back before leaning in to press a light kiss on Jungkook's lips. Jungkook gladly kissed back, smiling as he looked at Taehyung after the kiss. "Mm, what's that?" Taehyung leaned on Jungkook who looked at the papers in his hand. "... My files. Namgil, Namjoon's dad gave me these. They've had these since they stole me." Jungkook breathed out a chuckle while looking at the files. "... Are you gonna open it?" Taehyung asked, expecting Jungkook to have already opened it.

"... Can you?" Jungkook said after a while of being quiet. Making sure that is what Jungkook wanted, Taehyung hesitated before grabbing the files. There Taehyung opened it up and found himself immersed in the file that gave Jungkook's information. "You just turned four when they took you from home," Taehyung told Jungkook with a soft voice, his hand slipping into Jungkook's and giving a reassuring squeeze. From his height, and weight- to his blood type and just everything Jungkook needed to know about himself from that time, even his parents.

"You're from Busan." Taehyung smiled while saying so, looking at Jungkook's birthplace. "To Jeon Harin and Jeon HaEun," Taehyung said softly to Jungkook who was holding back tears. Though those tears fell the moment Taehyung pulled out a picture of Jungkook's parents and passed it to the boy who had a sudden memory of his parents. When they were walking to the park hand in hand and his dad picked him up to put Jungkook on his shoulders. It was the happiest moment for Jungkook... before he was taken. "... They would have loved Siwoo." Jungkook choked out as he looked at Taehyung with a broken smile.

"... And they would have loved you. I just know it." Jungkook said with a broken tone before the smile turned into a frown while Jungkook let the tears fall. Taehyung pulled Jungkook in for a comforting hug. "And they would have been so proud of you Jungkook," Taehyung reassured Jungkook who cried to Taehyung. So much was lost but so much was gained, it broke Jungkook. How his life ended up was... so unpredictable but now Jungkook has his own little family to take care of. Although he lost his childhood, he was determined to give his little baby boy the best life he could give him. Including Taehyung. All three of them were going to live happily now, and that's all Jungkook ever wanted. To live happily, and alive with his little family.

And eventually, Jungkook was able to live out what he wanted to do. It took a lot of fucking time, a l o t but he and his little family were happy. A few days after the dead stayed dead, the living started to make their way back to Seoul. Hundreds of people came together and although it was confusing on how the dead just suddenly... died, gave up- a lot of people didn't care about that. It was a time to be alive, a time to celebrate that they made it through. Some people were still gruesome and wanted power but people wouldn't allow that. The good people, who still had a heart didn't allow that, and thank fucking god they didn't.

It could have gone either way but luckily Seoul came together. Whoever was left in Seoul anyway. It was one hell of a bumpy ride but life started to get back to normal after a few months of coming together and making a community. Growing their own food, hunting and even getting back to jobs. Not paid jobs- but just jobs that would help around. It was nice being around civil people but Jungkook learned that he was too afraid to be around any other people. Still afraid he'd cause another apocalypse and so Taehyung and their whole friend group moved to where they could be comfortable.

Which was a little way out of Seoul. A house on the highway but with a lot of fixing up, they were able to turn the house into a four-bedroom house- and Yoongi might have stolen an RV but- hey! the owners probably weren't alive so it was up for grabs really! Besides so, the boys did decide to stay together. They went through so much and leaving now? Would break them too much. Plus living together? Was hell but it was a good type of hell since Taehyung and Jungkook had a babysitter whenever they needed time to themselves, hint hint.

So a year had passed now and the nine of them still lived at the house along the highway. The world was still a mess but it was coming together. With the boys building another house just outside Taehyung and Jungkook's house, they had more space. Yoongi still living in the RV with Jimin who didn't mind it one bit. Besides all he had to do to get to Taehyung was run out of the RV and into the house. Almost like when they lived in the apartment before the chaos. With their own farm and garden, life was going so so good for the nine and they wouldn't have it any other way.

Jimin and Namgil were still healthy as ever and the bites were now scars. The cure worked and the virus was still long gone. Even from Jungkook. It took a few months before Jungkook's blood was cleared from the virus but eventually, it came back normal. Finally free to live his life and that's what he intended to do. "Jungkook!" Taehyung called the male who was looking through DVDs to play for Siwoo. "Hm?" Jungkook looked up to see Siwoo slowly stepping toward him. "O-Oh! Oh my god, Siwoo!" Jungkook said lowly since he didn't want to scare his boy.

Crouching down, Jungkook held out his arms. "Come to dada, cmere my baby." Jungkook cooed as Taehyung followed behind Siwoo. Making sure Siwoo wouldn't fall and hit his head but it was a success once Siwoo was in Jungkook's arms giggling away. "That's my big boy! My baby Woo, dada is so proud of you, yaya!" Jungkook spun the shy but giggling boy around while holding his hand. Leaving Taehyung to watch and chuckle at Jungkook who was beyond happy to see his baby walk. "Just turned one and he's showing off." Taehyung scoffed but laughed.

"Just like his dad," Taehyung added while moving closer to his boys, kissing Siwoo and Jungkook's cheeks. "My boys." Taehyung smiled at the two before Jimin came running in with a birthday hat. "Where's my munchkin," Jimin said before he ran over to Siwoo. "There's my bestie." Jimin cooed as he put the birthday hat on Siwoo who tried to grab it before he saw his uncle Yoongi come walking into the house with candles on a cake. "Happy belated birthday to you~" Yoongi sang lowly since he was kind of shy to start off the singing.

Jimin caught on as he laughed and started singing with Seokjin and Namjoon who entered behind Yoongi. "Happy birthday to you~" they finished off. "Blow Woo, c'mon." Jungkook encouraged his boy to blow out the candles, even acting to blow the candles so Siwoo got the gist but sadly his blows were not enough and so who blew out the candles? You guessed it, Kim Taehyung. "That was for Woo!" Jimin pushed Taehyung who scoffed. "Next year! My boy here was struggling, right baby? My poor baby." Taehyung cooed while grabbing his boy who clung to Taehyung. Nowadays Siwoo was such a mommy's boy, it made Taehyung feel so loved though.

Soon after that, Namgil walked through the doors with a loving smile and wondering eyes. Wondering until they landed on Jungkook who was immersed with his son that was baby-talking to him. "Kook?" Namgil walked over to Jungkook who hummed and averted his attention to Namgil. "Come with me will you?" The man motioned Jungkook to follow but also motioned Taehyung to follow as well which Taehyung did. "What's the problem?" Jungkook asked, rubbing his hands together as he followed but stopped in his tracks when he saw two older people standing by a vehicle near the driveway.

Not able to say a word, Jungkook watched the older lady run towards him and engulf him in a hug but the moment she did? It was like Jungkook just knew who this person was. "... Mom?" Jungkook choked out as the lady cried, pulled away, and looked at Jungkook with so much love but also so much hurt that she lost so many years with her son. "... It's me Jungkook, I'm your mother." She choked out and that's when Jungkook practically fell to his knees. Not able to believe of comprehend what the hell he was seeing or hearing. "I'm so sorry." She apologized over and over as the man by the vehicle fell to his knees too, not believing that they found their son.

They never stopped looking for Jungkook. Not for one second. They were actually very close to finding Jungkook before the apocalypse happened but well, yeah. Then during the apocalypse, they fought like hell to stay alive. Only having each other was all they needed. Then after the apocalypse, they pretty much lost hope until Harin was noticed by Namgil who brought them to Jungkook. There Namgil spilled everything that happened and why Jungkook was taken. Harin felt heartbreak for her son but at the same time, she just wanted to hold him forever and never let go again, and that's exactly what she did.

Taehyung watched as Jungkook cried into his mother's arms. Watching his father soon come over and hug his family tight. "Oh, you've grown so much." Harin pulled away from her son to look at him properly. Wiping away Jungkook's tears, Harin sniffled. "I got you now okay? I'm never letting you go." Harin pulled Jungkook in for yet another bone-crushing hug. "Never ever." She hiccuped while holding Jungkook tight. Jungkook didn't mind one bit though. The inner child in him screamed with excitement that he finally got his mommy back.

As Taehyung was in tears, Siwoo started to pout his lip which meant he was going to cry soon but Taehyung was quick to notice. "It's okay Siwoo, you're okay my boy." Taehyung kissed Siwoo's forehead and that's when Jungkook's father noticed the two standing near. Catching eyes on the little boy, the man fell in love as he went into awe. "Is... that... our grandson?" The male asked with a broken tone, standing up after so as Jungkook looked back at Taehyung and Siwoo with a smile, tears still falling as he chuckled and wiped them away. "... Mom, Dad, meet Jeon Siwoo, my baby boy." Jungkook stood up and approached Taehyung.

"Oh- oh my god-" Harin choked out before standing up and approaching the boy who was hugging Jungkook now. "And Kim Taehyung, my boyfriend and mother of our child," Jungkook said in a loving tone. Holding out his hand, Taehyung greeted the two but was instantly brought into a hug. "Thank you," Harin said to Taehyung who cooed and teared up a bit. "Look's just like you when you were younger kook." HaEun brushed the boy's hair back and found himself crying a little more. So many years lost but yet he had so many years to gain with his grandson.

There was so much to catch up on and to know about each other, and Jungkook couldn't wait for that. Jungkook couldn't wait for what the future had in store for him and his family. That included his parents and the group, even Jimin. Never in a million years did Jungkook think he would see his biological parents but he was really fucking happy his luck started to turn around. Knowing his parents were always looking for him?... made Jungkook's heart swell with happiness. The only reason they couldn't find Jungkook was that he was put under a different name in public places from his 'mother' or what he loves to say now, she devil.

But other than that... everything fell into place. There was still a lot of healing and the world around them had a long way to go but right now at that moment, Jungkook was happy. Having a family that completed him. It was actually worth all the hell they went through. Would he go through it again? Well... that was questionable but he knew he'd always be thankful for the group of friends he has now. As for Taehyung and Siwoo? Jungkook wouldn't change a thing. It was scary at first, the thought of being a parent but a year into doing this parenting shit? Jungkook oddly loved it so so much.

Knowing a tiny human held so much love for him? Made Jungkook feel so happy and just made Jungkook want to protect his baby for as long as he lives, and he will. Along with all the other uncles Siwoo has. Staying alive was one hell of a ride but in the end, it was so worth it.
