It's been a week since Steven and I fought White Diamond up at Homeworld with the rest of the Gems. I was so scared when I almost lost my younger brother to White but luckily her managed to beat her and now she's on our side, no longer caring about destroying Earth. Now we're living peacefully and everything's been back to normal.

I started helping dad out with work and Steven has been helping the corrupted gems out with everything. Steven was tired from all the hard work and was having a slight fever so I was going to buy him a pizza and a few donuts from his favorite shop. "Are you sure you wanna go by yourself?" Steven asked tiredly looking at me from his bed above me.

"Stop worrying so much for me, Steven. Rest up i'll be back in a bit." I cheerfully tell him and began walking outside the few stairs when suddenly I tripped and felt someone's hand around my waist stopping me from falling.

"You almost had a nasty fall, are you alright love?" someone with a british accent said. I jumped up surprised and blushed by his sudden appearance.

"Rainbow Quartz?! What are you doing here?!"

The young man smiled while twirling his parasol in his hand, "I've been wanting to see you! You see Garnet, Pearl and Amethyst are busy. I wanted to have fun with Steven but he's sick." he says dramatically but turns to me with a huge grin.

"So I saw you walking down the stairs and raced my way over here!" I blush again he hopped down and raised his arm slightly so I would grab onto him as we walk. So I did and he held onto his parasol so the sun wouldn't hit our faces.

It's been a while since I last saw him appear back when the Gems and I needed help. I was falling along with Steven when he suddenly appeared and rescued us from hitting the floor, his parasol of his reminds me of a video game character but I can't remember the same.

"Everything alright?" he asks concern since he saw my face.

"Ahh nothing! I was just thinking." I shyly say and glanced up to see his pale blue eyes. "So is there anything Steven needs?" Rainbow asks and I nod my head.

"Steven wants me to buy him a pizza and a few donuts, it's still a shame Sadie doesn't work there anymore." "Cheer up, (Y/N) we're here." he raced to the entrance of the donut shop and we entered.

Mayor Dewey or should I only say Dewey was working there but when he walked over the counter there weren't any donuts. "What no donuts?!" I frown and Dewey shakes his head. "Sorry but i've been busy all day cleaning the shop up, I forgot to make some."

Rainbow and I exchanged looks and looked back at Dewey. "We'll help you out." and so we started making them. Rainbow decorated some and they looked so colorful and delicious out of all of them. The shop began to fill up with many customers excited to try the newest donuts. About an hour later Dewey came by exhausted and handed us a bag with four donuts in each.

"This is for your hard work and helping me with the shop." Rainbow and I brightly looked down and thanked Dewey. "That was so much fun! Now to get that pizza." I chuckled and placed both bags on the cheeseburger backpack Steven gave to me.

"Come along (Y/N), there's no time to waste." Rainbow insisted and held onto my hand. I ran along with him and smiled realizing we were holding each other's hands. About half an hour later we had our pizza and Rainbow didn't let go of my hand any second.

"Ooh what's that?" he curiously asked running ahead of me and we saw Sadie and her band performing. "Can we go (Y/N)?" before I could reply he grabbed my waist, jumped up and glided us over to the beach.

"Are you ready for our final song for tonight Beach City?!" Sadie asked the crowd. They all cheered and we landed just in time the song began. "Isn't Sadie marvelous! I just her songs." "I do too Rainbow."

Rainbow stepped aside and offered me his hand, "May I have this dance milady?" he smiled and blushing I grabbed his hand again and he pulled me close to him. "It's been an awful long time since I last saw you (Y/N). You have no idea how I missed your touch." I blushed again at his words as we danced together.

"I-I did too. I actually wanted us to get to know each other some more." Rainbow closed his eyes and smiled and leaned closer. "I hope we stay together like this." I glanced up at him and i felt goosebumps when he kissed my forehead.

The song ended and Sadie with her band said their goodnights. I reached to touch where Rainbow kissed me and felt my cheeks heat up again. I heard him chuckle and look over at me with curiosity, "You really are adorable."

"Umm I-I.." I had no words to tell him but suddenly I remembered, the food... "Steven!
