I'm 16, almost 17 and everything is so confusing. I'm well liked, a track star, I seem to have everything together. Except I don't. I have feeling, thoughts that I don't understand fully.

I'm probably gay and that's the most worrying thing on my mind. What if somebody finds out? If I am, well since I am what does that mean about my life. I know gay marriage is legal, but what are Dad's opionins on it. And what would it mean for my hero life. Would I tell people? Would Dad think I'm not as strong as Vi. This is a crazy world we live in and I don't know if I want my life to get any crazier.

"Dash!" Helen or more commenly known as Ms. Incredible yells.

"Coming." He responds, putting his notebook/ makeshift journal underneath his pillow. He looks over to his letterman jacket, neatly on a hanger in his closet. He values it, it makes him feel, normal. Which is ironic to say the least since he one hated being normal 6 years ago, but he needed something...consistent.

He runs down stairs in a second into their lavish kitchen. They were still in the same house that Devtech gave them all those years ago, with subtle improvements from the glamorous Edna Mode.

"Dash!!" his younger brother Jack-Jack screams with excitement.

"Jack-Jack!" he replies with enthusiasm in his voice. It sounds authentic, or at least he thinks it does. Most of his days for he last few months has been not being okay and covering it up. What did you do today Jack-Jack?" He asks the 7 year old. And he genuinely listens as he is told the story of the boy who cried in recess and the three girls who glues their heads together. He poured his heart and mind into the story he was being told. Because as he focused so much into a life that was not his, he found peace for a fleeting moment.

The family sits at the dinner table and Dash wonders what the conversation will be today.

"Mommy where's Violet?" Jack-Jack asked.

His mother replied softly,"Honey we told you. Violet's a grown woman now and she moved out with Tony."

The child sits there pondering for a moment before constructing a question.

"Mommy, will Violet and Tony get married and have kids?" He questioned sweetly.

"Maybe someday sweetie."

"AWESOME!! I'm Uncle Jack-Jack I'm uncle Jack-Jack!! Then when Dash gets married I'll be a double uncle!"

Their mother couldn't help but chuckle.

"That's all great Jackie." Their father the mighty Bob Parr said. "But for now, can you just eat your vegetables?" He chuckled, still amused at his sons antics.

"Okay." Jack-Jack said before turning into a purple monster and swallowing the plate whole.

Everyone in the room looked directly at him as he spit the plate out clean and morphed back into his base form. His mother sighed in relief, replacing plates was work.

"What you do today Dash?" His father asked.

His son thought about his answer quickly.

"Nothing,nothing at all."

It was 10 in the morning and Dashell Robert Parr was entering his third period class, literature.

Nothings exciting happened, they wrote, learned about proper indentation like Sophomores should, and their teacher gave them a project in pairs. Dash never had anything to worry about, people always wanted to work with him because he was so "popular" but all it means is he had more to worry about and had to try harder to be normal. Then a random dude in a hoodie sat down in the desk next to his.

"Hi." This guy said and Dash's attention was immediately on him. The first thing he looked into was his piercing green eyes, the way they contrasted his dark skin was captivating. Then he raised his hand to shake and Dash was taken back.

"I'm Tyler." The boy said.

"Dash." He replied softly while loosely shaking his hand.

"Yeah, I know. You're the fastest man alive."

"Why haven't I seen you before? No-not to be rude or anything it's just that-"

"No, no, no. I get it. Most people haven't, I tend to simply exist, to be in a sense. I like to live moment to moment so I don't tend to be tied down. I'm just a guy, flying by , in the breeze under the sky."

Dash couldn't help but chuckle.

"And the rhyming is just an added touch or?" Dash inquired with a smile on his face.

"No it just happens. When I feel something I tend to let it be and I felt like that micro poem was simply lovely." Dash was simply enamored. The way this boy talked, felt. The vibe he gave off was thoughtful but fun. Even to the way he leaned his head into his hand with two fingers pointed up against his skull felt, inviting. Like there was a temptation like superpower the boy had and it was activated by looking into his eyes. But even though his demeanor was fun his eyes looked intense, like they could see Dash's soul, and for that moment he let himself break the wall he had around his heart.

"Wow" Dash laughed.

"Wait, wasn't there an assignment." Dash realized.

"Yeah. Did you not hear a word she said?" Tyler said laughing it off.

"Well in all honesty. I didn't hear a word." And even though that was by far the stupidest thing he had did that day, and for all he knew they could have been behind, he smiled.

"Well then. Let me explain it to you." The other said with a smile.

It was a great class. But when it ended and he walked through those doors. His brain was bombarded with confusion and guilt. And instead of crying, instead of attempting to talk to somebody he bottled it back up and rebuilt his walls in an instant.

"Yo! It's Dash!" A guy from the football team screamed in the hallway. Dash realized that he didn't have time to be mopey, sad, or confused. So ignoring everything he was feeling, and plastering his fake smile for the public he turned around to meet his bittersweet prison.

"Yeah. I'M THE DASH!"
