Ricky had brought a whole stack of books to the diner, considering he ran through one practically every shift like clockwork.  He finished the novel from Vinny first, a paper falling from the last page.  He smiled as he saw the scribbles of Ryan again.

Just as Ricky went to look at the pile of notes they had been writing back and forth, a customer came.  Ricky had to get up and serve him, but as soon as the man left, Ricky was searching for his last message from Ryan.  

Of course, Ricky noticed the similar heart in the corner, but what really made him blush was Ryan mentioning panties.  He bit his lip a bit and wondered if Ryan was flirting or just being playful.  Was Ryan gay or just a bit in touch with his feminine side? Was Ryan even a man? Ryan could be a girl's name too.  

"Yo," Vinny interrupted his thought, jumping over the counter and nearly landing on Ricky.  He snatched the papers from Ricky's fist and skimmed over them, smirking.  "I knew you two would hit it off, even without my help."  Vinny dropped the notes and jumped back over the counter, running off to heaven-knows-where.  

Ricky accepted Vinny brief input as the answer to his questions.  

He wrote a few responses to Ryan but none of them seemed right, so he threw them all out.  Eventually, he settled on "who says I wear panties?"  It was supposed to be playful, but it seemed more like an accusation that Vinny had told Ryan about the little "pantsing" issue from a year ago.

Vinny was a jokester and one day he decided to playfully expose Ricky to no one but the empty diner.  Ricky had no idea as to what Vinny was going to do, otherwise, he would've worn boxers.  But instead, he wore his typical silky lace underwear.  Vinny wasn't able to let the incident go for four months until Ricky eventually knocked him to the ground with a hit.  

Ricky finished another book before it was time for him to go.  Just as he slipped out the back door, Vinny came in with a man on his arm.

Did Vinny seriously have a boyfriend before him?
