Sage's POV:
I paddled in from the waves, watching Daisy surf amongst them. John B laid on the sand, sprawled out like a starfish. His eyes were closed and I grabbed a bucket of water, pouring it on him. "Hey!" He yelled out of fear. Kiara busted out laughing and I did the same. "She got you!" Pope said as he went into the water with his board. John B sat up and looked out to the water, watching Daisy surf alongside JJ. "Let's go back to my place after this." John B said. "You'll have to wait for them." I replied as I turned around, setting my board on the ground. I united myself from the board and John B said "and then there was one." "Huh?" I said with my eyebrows furrowed. "Ha ha! I've returned!" JJ yelled as he threw me over his shoulder. I squealed and said "JJ!" "I've caught the bounty, lads! What shall we do with it?" JJ said. John B laughed and said "praise! Now we just need to catch the next bounty." JJ turned to the water where Daisy was paddling in. "JJ, please put me down." I said. "Never! You're my greatest treasure!" As soon as John B got the chance, he grabbed Daisy. The two boys began spinning around while they held us. "I have declared that we will go back to my place! And eat the biggest pizza!" John B said. "I highly agree!" JJ replied. John B set down Daisy who pushed him playfully. JJ set me down gently and I said "I'm dizzy now." JJ frowned playfully and said "then I shall carry thee." He picked me up bridal style and Pope said "come on! I'm starving!" We all got into John B's van and headed back to his house.

I changed out of my bathing suit and then walked into John B's living room. "Ugh, where's the pizza?" Pope said. "I don't know. I ordered it like 20 minutes ago." John B replied. Daisy was currently sitting next to Pope. I plopped down on the couch next to JJ and said "am I still your bounty?" "Always. You'll always be my bounty. I'm the one who always catches you." He said. John B nodded and said "same goes for you, Daisy." "Maybe next time you won't catch me." She challenged him. "Ooh." John B said with a smirk. A knock on the door signaled that the pizza was here. Kiara went to the door and paid for it, bringing it into the room. JJ clapped his hands and said "I'm starving." I reached for a piece of pizza and Pope bit into his piece. "You guys staying here for the hurricane?" John B asked us. "I am. I'm not trying to go all the way back home." I said. "I've already landed on your couch, therefore I get the guest bedroom." JJ said. John B shook his head and said "no, the girls get the guest bedroom. You take the futon." JJ groaned and fell back against the couch. "I call this couch." Pope said. Kiara rolled her eyes and tried to argue with Pope on that. She won. I reached over JJ, who was laying in my lap now, to grab a piece of pizza. "Sage can sleep with me." JJ said. I shook my head and said "I'm sleeping with Daisy." "One of us needs to share." Kiara said. John B looked at Daisy and said "wanna share?" She shrugged and said "maybe. Isn't your bed a twin?" "We'll make it work. It's not that bad." John B replied. "Sagie, share with me. I'm way better than Kiara." JJ said as he played with the ends of my hair. Kie rolled her eyes and said "shut up, JJ." "You could have that whole room to yourself." Pope said to her. Kie thought about it and agreed. "Looks like you have a deal, JJ. On one condition, you stay on your side and I'll stay on mine." I said. JJ nodded and said "deal."

The wind began to blow like crazy and it was raining really hard. JJ fell asleep before me, him and John B smoked before going to sleep. I jumped at the flash of lighting and scooted closer to JJ out of fear. "Sagie?" He mumbled sleepily. "Yeah?" "You scared of the thunder again?" I was shocked that he was somewhat awake. "Yeah." I said again. "I'll protect you." He said as he pulled me into his chest. This was a normal thing JJ did with me. He'd always comfort me when we'd have big thunderstorms in the outer banks. Plus it was fine as long as we weren't together. The rule is no pouge with another pouge. I nuzzled my face into JJ's chest and he sleepily kissed my head. "I'll be your knight in shining armor." I smiled to myself and fell asleep shortly after.

The ending to this chapter is dumb but I wanted to get a chapter up. This book might be a little slow but give it some time and it'll get better!!
