This book is based on the true story of an ungreat dog. He didn't do anything awe inspiring or moral teaching, he just, was. He was there, he lived, he played, he cried. This is his story. I didn't know all of the facts so I'm just going to fill in what I don't know. I hope that this book teaches you something. I don't care about how other people saw him! All I know is that he was there for me, I am making this book so his story, so he, won't be forgotten. He deserves better than this horrible, inaccurate, fill in book. But I don't know who else would do this. So I guess I'll have to do. I loved him like a brother, he was like that to me. He taught me so much, he 'spoke' to me and my heart every time I saw him. The last time I saw him I made him a promise, "I'll make you a book, I'll make it so you won't ever be forgotten, so you'll live on in people's hearts and memories, so others like you won't have the same life." I live in a different world than you. In my world there are monsters. We call them Shadows. No one know what they are, or where they really came from, all we know is that for millions upon millions of years we have lived alongside them. We treat them like equals. We live with them, we walk alongside them. When a child reaches the age of 16 they get their Shadow. We make a bond with our Shadows and keep that bond until we die. Our Shadows feed of the power of that bond their lives depend on it. Our lives depend on it too, If your bond is weak your more likely to get sick or die. I am fifteen, I am 3 days away from getting my Shadow. I wonder what it will look like, what it will be like, what new or strange powers it will give me.-WolfieSometimes I wonder, could there be a world other than ours. For example a crazy world where people are cars or something? It's a little bit like the alternate reality theory. In history yesterday I got in trouble so I had to write an essay on what the world would be like without the Shadows. I think it was supposed to be boring but the more I learned about Shadows and how little we actually knew about man's best friend the more I wanted to know. It got me thinking could there possible be another dimension where people don't have Shadows?!?! Crazy I know! But it seems like it would be plausible technically.....-JayToday someone broke my best friend's heart. I want him to break, like he broke her kind heart. I want him to suffer like the 5 years she suffered not having the courage to ask him out. Then she did, and he said yes. We were so happy for her! She was so happy! Then he broke her. Over text message. Because he was too much of a coward to tell her in person. He used her. The light in her eyes faded, she talked less, she cried more. I want him to hurt. I want him dead. No one hurts my friends except me! If they do anything to even try to make them hurt, I will make them pay.-Lilac…
