This is a sci-fi and dystopian story that I am thinking about getting published in the future. Beta readers would be seriously helpful for me since I am thinking about getting it published. This is pretty much just gonna be a place where I can write random stories to random prompts when I'm feeling really shitty and need to make myself feel better. When I'm in a bad mood writing really helps me feel better, but I don't want my bad mood to potentially ruin my current stories, so instead of writing them when I'm feeling stressed, frustrated, sad, mad, etc. I'll find prompts online or get given prompts by my amazingly wonderful readers and followers (that's you guys 😃). Nico diAngelo, a 15 year old orphan, has had his family destroyed twice. The only family member he has left is his half-sister Hazel Levesque. They were adopted by a master criminal who has never been caught for any crime he has committed. Their "father" is always drunk and has been doing drugs since before he adopted Nico and Hazel, he forces them to become petty thieves, and if they don't do what he tells them to he beats them. But he also uses anyone they care about as leverage to keep them in check. After the wife of a scientist dies due to cancer the scientist sets a goal, find a cure so that no other families have to go through what he and his young son had to go through. He finds a "cure" but it results in an apocalypse that wipes out much of the human population, and creates flesh-eating monsters that have the ability to pass the disease to uninfected humans. The scientist and his son, as well as some family, friends and other survivors the group meets along the way try their best to help keep each other alive in the now extremely shitty world they're living in.
