"I'm so sorry, James," she whispered. Her knees buckled underneath her as it became to much to bear. She fell a few inches before her neck was suddenly jerked up in a sickening snap. Rain's sobs fell silent, her limbs limp, and with the trees she too swung at the mercy of the wind. The moon crept out from behind the clouds, illuminating her fair face contorted in misery, tears traced with silver light fell gracefully from her eyes. She hanged there, relieved of her pain, and on wings of starlight death carried her off into the eternal night. Rain was free.…
