Gabriella is a just an ordinary tourist in Cameroon but something mysterious happens when she notices something in a camera image. Is she going crazy or has magic taken hold? This is a magical fantasy set in Cameroon and England. All photos within the story are taken by me, the cover uses a stock photo from canva. This is my own work which was inspired by my recent visit to my in-laws in Cameroon. I was deeply affected by the unbalanced society, with many people living in poor conditions while nearby others live in relative luxury.There are many issues in Cameroon which need to be solved and I hope that reading this story will inspire people to do more to help the environment and people less fortunate. This story begins in the year 2001, although maybe it started twenty six years before that when Alice was born. Or even before that when her parents met each other. You could say it probably started centuries ago when England was covered in thick oak woodland. Maybe I'm getting ahead of myself or maybe behind, for now every story has to start somewhere.Alice is a slightly plump office worker. She lives in a shared flat in London with some other girls, who she hardly ever talks to as she is very shy. She is happy to finally be independent after leaving her mother's house. Her job is her life and she loves it. Next she plans to get a boyfriend and to lose a bit of weight, then her life will be perfect. Things seem to be going well on the surface. Unfortunately the dreams were getting worse, Alice just couldn't get any sleep. After taking yet another sick day, completely by accident! Her supervisor finally gave her the talk and temporarily suspended her. It was time to sort her life out, if only she can find some courage. She is as surprised as anybody when she steps out of the office and life suddenly gets interesting!What happens when Alice goes in search of her dreams? Are they nightmares or something else? Unfortunately he has to neglect his newly wedded wife and steal from work to do it. Will he become a rich and successful man adored by many and doted on by his new wife? Or end up fired divorced and in prison, he hopes it will be the first one.But there seems to be a third option he hadn't considered when his teleportation device doesn't seem to work as he calculated. Should he have gone for those implants and body upgrades after all? Francis lived in a world filled with technology but he resisted change and lived in an ordinary house surrounded by silver towers. Glowing doors to another world are one thing but purple geometric ants are something else. Worst of all he had to deal with it all on the run, even though he has no idea why he had to hide.Why were the police chasing him anyway? This story is based on a dream that I had a few years ago, it was so vivid that I still remember it.
