When you know, deep down, deep inside, you're different, you don't belong, you're a freak, you try all you can, all you have to feel anything but acceptance, normality, belonging. Jilly Macaques is a Colour. A freak of nature, different, dangerous. She knows, deep down, she's not one of them, she's not a Blood Type. Unlike her, the rest of the Society, a futuristic civilisation living in their 'safety' are genetic mutations, created to survive the destroyed and dangerous atmosphere made by global warming. There are others like Jilly, other Colours, humans born the natural way, surviving on their own, adapting to the changed world, known as the Rebellion. They plan to rescue her, because it's not long before the Society knows their safety has been tainted, tainted by the evilness of homo sapiens, designed to destroy everything good. So they destroy the evil before they destroy their homes, but Jilly knows, she knows she isn't evil, she knows she loves life and everything that brings with it, so why is everything falling apart? Jilly must run with a stranger who just saved her, leaving everything she's ever loved behind. Its a huge sacrifice, how does she deal with her whole world ripped from under her?…
