[Rin's POV]

It was 7:56 am in the morning and here I am, trying my very best to rush to the school. I woke up late this morning and Mom asked me to do some chores before going and as a result, I am almost late and would receive another scolding from my first subject teacher.

I slammed the door open and panted, taking a small glance at my metal wrist watch. I came just in time but as I am about to apologize to the teacher for my loud entrance, I am shocked to see Akira-sensei* at the teacher's desk, taking a small sip of her coffee. "Hey, Akazawa-san*. Hurry and sit down before you pass out." She said as a few students began to murmur. I sat down at the back and sighed again, looking at the window.

I began to think about different things such as the future but then, the idea of my dream suddenly crossed my mind as I imagined myself having the highest scores in all of my tests and being the top student of this class. I then noticed that I was staring out of the window for too long and realized that we aren't doing anything since the original teacher for this subject is absent.

Akira-sensei smiled as she eyed me, Probably because she noticed that I was bored and couldn't do anything. She taps the table, loud enough for us to hear. "Everyone, you can do anything you want. As long as you are in this classroom and it isn't too loud or inappropriate." She sits back and ties her hair in a ponytail.

The girl in front of me turned her seat around, facing me. She places her hands on my table as she smiled warmly. "Hey, wanna go to a café later? I have someone for you to meet. They are amazing!" She said as she took out an apple from her lunch bag.

I scoffed in annoyance and sighed. "Sure but you know me, I'm not gonna act friendly. Besides I have you and Nicky as my friends.

The girl, also known as Mae, bursts out with laughter, making everyone look at her. But a few seconds later, they all went back to what they were doing. I frowned at her. "Shush. Don't cause an issue. Jeez."

Mae hit my shoulder. "You need some friends. Enjoy your high school while it lasts. It's our last year, you know."

I nod as I rolled my eyes in annoyance. I simply can't stand her sometimes. But then, she is still my friend so I agreed with her café idea. "Fine, I'll go. Café Infinity, right? What time?"

She nods and takes out her phone. "4:30 pm. After clubs." She says as she takes out something and starts working with it on my desk. It looks like some dress pattern sketch on a fabric. "What's that? For the Fashion club?" I asked.

"Yep." She nods and started to focus with it. "Looks like the Fashion club is busy this week huh? That's for next week's Fashion show right?"

She nods again and stops, taking a pair of scissors from her bag and starts cutting. "Yeah. It's kinda hectic. How's the Kendo club going for you?"

I shrugged. "Just the usual. The president was being hard on me just because I can't grip on the sword much."

"Ah, ganoon?*" She muttered in the Filipino language which I clearly don't understand.

The talk went on and a few minutes later, the bell rang, marking the end of the first and second subject.

I was just heading out of the classroom with Mae for break time but then someone suddenly grabs my wrist. "Can we talk?"
