[Rin's POV]

"Can we talk?" Someone just grabbed my wrist, making it red a little. It was Kento.

I sighed and eyed Mae, telepathically telling her to go to the cafeteria without me. As if she understood the reason behind my look, she waved at us and left, probably weirded out by what just happened.

'Ugh. I hope she didn't have the wrong idea.' I thought.

I grabbed Kento's hand this time and led him to a part of the rooftop in which no one uses anymore. It was just me and him and I'm seriously hating the whole situation. It was too awkward for me to handle.

"Since when did you get here? Did you transferred?" I asked as I gripped on my lunchbag harder than before. Memories began to cross my mind.

"I transferred here yesterday. I just have to guard my girlfriend that's why. So how are you?" He casually asked as if his statement didn't hurt me at all.

It did.

It did hurt me. A lot.

Kento and I were childhood friends and he promised me that he would stay with me forever. That was back then and we were just little naïve kids so it was expected that the promise would be broken.

I suddenly remembered that I was still talking to him so I instantly snapped out of my thoughts.

"Uh, yes. I am fine." I lied, still gripping hardly on my lunch bag.

He shrugged and smiled as he wore his hat. It is not allowed within the school grounds but this guy is now breaking the said rule. He walks to the door and opens it, turning his head back at me. "Oh, I'm doing it with her tonight. Wish me luck."

With that, he closed the door and left the rooftop. I sighed and took my phone out of the pocket. I opened the MeCord app. I see a ton of messages but one of them caught my eye. It's him again, mystery_dude01.

I was about to message him but my phone rang. He called me for like the first time. I wonder why. "Hello?" I said in an unsure tone.

I expected his voice to be a deep and a serious one  but it wasnt. It was deep yet his voice was a cheery one, something that made my heart flutter. "Hello Author-chan? That's you right?" He asked. He was unsure too.

"Mhm. It is me. Why did you call?" I asked as I took out the bento box* out of the lunch bag. Author-chan is my username in that app.

"Ah erm... I'm thinking if we could meet up today. You are from Saitama too right?" He asks again.

'Ah right, I told him that I was from that place.'

I unconsciously nod which is funny because he isn't even here. I started to eat the Tamagoyaki*. "Yeah. Hmm I'm not sure if I would want us to meet."

He started to sniff as if he has a cold, which I doubt. "Please? I am from the same area as well. Let's meet at Café Infinity then?"

I groaned at annoyance as I closed the bento box. I am done eating lunch for today as chills started to go down my spine. I'm honestly nervous because I don't know him that much. Maybe he is an older man, pretending to be a teenager just so he could kidnap me and sell my organs. But oh well, I'll just have to use my Kendo skills if that happens.

I was about to ask him something but then I heard something from below. I sighed and replied to him. "I better go. I just saw something and lunch is about to end as well. See ya later."

With that, I stood up and hang up the call, looking over the rails of the rooftop. At the gate, I see a woman and a child. The woman seemed to be yelling while the child kept crying while gripping hard on his arm. A few teachers approached them and when the child showed his arm, everyone, including me was surprised. It was bleeding.

They let them inside the campus and a few seconds later, the woman collapsed, revealing a bloody back behind her. It was honestly quite suspicious.  She became unconscious for a minute or two, and the child collapsed as well. One of the school nurses came with a first aid kit and rushed to them, bringing out some bandages and alcohol. Both bodies began to undergo a severe seizure and all of the teachers panicked. Their pale bodies stopped moving for a second and then the woman sat up suddenly and she bites the nurse's neck, making it bleed so much. The child bit my math teacher's neck as well.

It all made sense to me. I need to get out of here.

No. All of us needs to get out of here or else, it would be too late.
