"We're going back?" Pidge gasped as the next day everyone waited for Sam but his daughter was the first to know.

Everyone whipped their bodies around to face the older man and youngest of them all. Hunk and lance looked at each other excitedly.

"Yep, the garrison thinks it's time for the base to know voltron is back," Sam smiled.

"We can alert your families as soon as I'm in touch with the garrisons on the way back, we can have them waiting for you," he told them as kinkade stood with lance, he saw Lances face was full of shock as he didn't know what to say.

"You should call shot gun," kinkade put a hand on his shoulder to snap lance out of his thoughts.

A bright smile crawled on Lances face as he claps his hand over kinkades nodding.

"Well what are we waiting for? Let's go! I call shot gun!" Lance raised his hand.

No one moved until Sam gave a nod of approval, they could go home now.

"No fair I get shot gun!" Griffin whined as kinkade and lance grabbed the front seats with a laugh as everyone piled in the trucks.

Allura kept an eye on lance now from hearing the two earlier in the morning, he seemed more mature in a way but he was still childish. He buckled up immediately as kinkade started the truck.

"Are you ready to go see your family?" Ryan asked looking at lance.

"I'm so ready," Lance almost was bouncing in his seat. He missed them all so much.

"Do you think they'll be proud of me?" He asked after a moment of thinking about their reactions. Ryan grabbed his hand gently and nodded.

"Absolutely," he grinned at him and put the truck in drive as they took off to head back to the military grounds of the garrisons.

Veronica sprinted to the garage of the garrisons seeing the doors close behind two trucks that parked in the center. She panted looking for her baby brother as the windows were blacked out, she couldn't catch her breath after feeling like the air was stolen from her when she heard the news.

"Move!" She pushed pass the crowd as there were the pilots getting out.

"Lance!" She screamed trying to find her brother seeing strangers getting out of the vehicles of voltron, shiro and Keith met with Iverson as Pidge ran to her mother who waited.

"Lance Charles mcclain get your ass out here!" She had tears in her eyes but the passenger door opened as lance jumped out of the truck as he tripped a little.

"Veronica!" He cried back as he sprinted to his big sister.

"Ron!" Lance slammed into her as their bodies collided from the impact but Veronica held her youngest sibling close as he buried his face in her shoulder trying not to cry. He failed.

"You're alive! You're alive!" The two fell to their knees as Veronica sobbed holding his head to her and kissed his head.

"Don't you ever fucking do that again! I swear to god and the Holy Spirit I will kill you if you ever-" "help I'm being abused!" Lance pushed himself away from her as Veronica smacked him multiple times in the head.

"Help-" "you think I'm bad! Mama is going to chain you to the backyard and will let Rachel beat the shit out of you!"

Lance got to his feet with a smile on his face as Veronica was still crying as she moved her glasses away to wipe her face.

"I missed you too Ron," he laughed holding her face and wiped his big sisters tears away.

"You got tall," she sniffled hugging him again.

"Your just shrinking into an old lady," he sighed relieved as she hit his back disagreeing.

"I hate you," she whined into his shirt.

"I know," lance patted the top of her head.

"You mijo de puta!" A boot was thrown at his head as lance shrieked hiding behind his big sister. .

"Mama please!" He his behind Veronica.

"I let you go to your school you worked so hard for and then disappear for four years?!" A short older woman walked over with a group of people behind her.

"There's so many," Keith whispered wide eyes as lance smiled a little seeing his family again.

"I was so worried Mijo," Lances mother whispered with angry tears in her eyes.

Lance smiled and hugged his mother with a small whimper as she smelt the same as he remembered. He felt his older brothers both hit his back as Rachel kicked him in the side.

"Ow!" He whined looking at them but bit older siblings tackled him in a hug as his mother giggled at her children as they all united with the youngest.

"Hey dipshit stop fucking leaving!" Rachel punched his arm but lance pulled his twin into a head lock.

"I missed you guys so much," lance smiled brightly with tears running down his face.

Kinkade smiled from the side seeing lance was full of joy again with his family he desired to see so much. The small children that ran and screamed excitedly seeing their uncle, all five siblings together again, he smiled seeing lance was finally home.

"I never knew lance had such a big family," Allura stood next to kinkade surprised by how many siblings lance had as they seemed never ending.

"Really? He missed them a lot," kinkade was a little surprised by her.

"Veronica talked about him a lot too, his family really cares about him, he adores all of them," he smiled softly.

"I never had siblings, my parents were both killed," Allura sighed softly.

"Uh.." Kinkade didn't know what to say. "Sorry?"

"Are you interested in lance?" She asked suddenly.

"I hope the best for him," he said flatly.

"Isn't gay the meaning of romantic feelings for a man?" Allura asked curiously as kinkade rolled his eyes a little.

"Sure," he nodded unable to escape from her.

"Is lance gay?" She asked.

"Yes," he grew irritated. He hated explaining himself, why did it matter?

"So-" "Lance is my friend princess, I don't know what your trying to get at," kinkade cut her off as allura jumped at his tone.

"Lance is different around you, I didn't know if you were dating," she blushed a little.

"I-Uh..." kinkade looked down blushing deeply.

Allura raised a brow at him and nodded.

"Do you not find lance annoying? You seem quite annoyed a lot," she followed him as kinkade tried walking away.

"He talks about himself all the time and was such a flirt, very energetic-" "why are you telling me this? Does it look like I care? It's obvious I don't agree with you," kinkade snapped at her a little.

"Don't bad mouth your own teammate, it shows default in your battles, and your enemies will snuff you out," he glared at her as Allura crossed her arms.

"I'm not bad mouthing him, I'm being honest and want your opinion since your so close," she huffed a little.

"I've known lance for two months and I know, I can bet my right hand on it, that I can name more good qualities about lance than you can in the time you've known him, he's a good man with a kind heart, don't take advantage of him because he'd give up his life for any one of you," kinkade looked down at her with a dark look in his eyes.

"You haven't seen his selfish side then," she shrugged. "He only joined voltron for the glory and the praise,"

"Leave him alone, I'm sick of hearing everyone saying cruel things about him, I'm sick of it," kinkade growled turning to leave again.

Allura cocked her head to the side, she never really understood earthlings that well, took forever to understand the Paladins. She shrugged letting it go over her head.
