Eddie's POV:
The group's were starting to be set up. I would be with Emmaline, Dustin, Alyssa, and Rhett. It was going to be the five of us making a distraction. Erica, Lucas, Max, and Chrissy. were in the Creel House. Chrissy didn't want to go into the Upside Down. Which was totally understandable. Robin, Nancy, and Steve were going to fight Vecna in the Upside Down. Steve stood in front of us. He looked at Dustin. "Listen, don't try to be a hero. You make the distraction and you get out." Emmaline stood next to Dustin and she patted his back. I looked around the at the particles floating around, the vines covering the ground. It looked like something out of a nightmare. "Don't worry. You can be the hero, Steve." Dustin said. I nodded and said "absolutely." Steve shook his head and looked at Emmaline. "Don't stay down here too long. When you guys are done, just get out." Emmaline quickly nodded and said "we will." Steve approached her and she furrowed her eyebrows. "Take care of him for me." Emmaline looked at Dustin who said "I can take care of myself." Emmaline looked at Steve and said "I'll guard him with my life." "Hey, I can fight!" Everyone chuckled and Steve went back towards Robin. "Steve." I said. He looked over his shoulder and I quickly walked over to him. I pulled him aside and said "if something happens to me, man....get her out of here. Do not let her stay down here. If I die-" "You're not going to die, Eddie." I shushed him, not wanting anyone to hear our conversation. They were all distracted by Dustin at the moment it seemed anyway. "Please promise me you'll get her out. Don't let her do something stupid. If something happens to me, I won't be missed. But if something happens to her....I'll never forgive myself." Steve looked down at his boots and then back up at me. "Emmaline would miss you. Dustin would miss you." I sighed and fought tears that were about to spill. "Yeah, that's about it, Steve. I mean, I guess my uncle too. I'm not friends with anyone else in this group." "I'm your friend." Steve emphasized. "Guys, we gotta go." Nancy's voice said. Steve nodded at her and I looked at Steve in shock at his revelation. "I promise." Steve whispered. I nodded and went back to stand with Emmaline and Dustin, Milo standing in the trailer because he was terrified. "Steve." I called out. Steve looked at me and I nodded at him again. He did the same back to me and the three of them started to walk off. "Alright, guys. Let's turn this place into a fortress. Come on." I said. Dustin and Milo started to grab some metal, hammering it into the trailer. Emmaline hammered a large sheet of metal onto the trailer window. When she was finished I literally swept her off her feet. She gasped. Her giggles seemed to echo around us as everything in the Upside Down did. "What if I kissed you in the Upside Down?" I smirked. Emmaline smiled really big and said "I'd kiss you back." "Oh, really?" "Yeah." "Yeah?" Emmaline closed the gap between us and I kissed her lips. Her hand cupped my cheek and I moaned softly as her lips moved against mine. Emmaline pulled away and I chased after the kiss. She put her hand on my chest and said "don't fall, lover boy." I grinned like a fucking idiot at the pet name. "What if I fucked you in the Upside Down?" Emmaline gasped and got out of my grasp. "Eddie Munson!" She hit my shoulder and I laughed. "You're crazy." "But you love me." "That I do." Emmaline kissed my cheek and Alyssa said "I'm sure I can protect us from the bats. I can kill the majority of them." I looked over and said "please do. I wanna see them go flying across the Upside Down." Dustin sniggered and said "that'd be funny." Milo jumped with every flash of lightning and sound that entered the air. "How long do we have to be down here?" He whined. Rhett stood next to him, his eyes taking everything in. "They have to give us the signal. As soon as they do, we distract the bats and then we can go back through the gate." Dustin answered. Milo nodded and I told Dustin to follow me inside. I walked into my bedroom and my eyes went to my guitar. "Wanna see the most metal concert ever?" I asked Dustin. Dustin looked up at me with admiration and said "yeah." I smirked and said "help me with those amps." Emmaline noticed Dustin carrying amps and equipment. "What're you guys doing?" "Setting up a distraction, babe. You're gonna love it. I promise." Emmaline shook her head and went back outside with Alyssa. It took me and Dustin a few minutes to set everything up. We then got the signal from Steve, his garbled voice coming in over the walkie.

I think imma try to split up the finale into like 3 chapters!! And this one and the next might be a little short compared to the chapters being lengthy. The last chapter of the finale will be long and will be in third person pov. (As will the chapter after this) because I'm going to be writing from so many different characters perspectives it'll be easier for me that way!
