Gilbert POV
I ran back to where Scarlet was and saw two boys.

" My name is Luffy and this is Ace!" Said one of the boys. Shit. They already found out?

" By the way, who are you two?" Scarlet asked as I jump in between them." Gil! Where were you!"

" There's no time for that! They're dangerous!" I yelled.

" Huh? Us? Dangerous?" Asked the boy by the name of Luffy.

" Your friend, Sabo, is already dead, so leave us alone!" I yelled. I immediately regretted it.

" .... What? He's dead?" I heard Scarlet say behind me as dread builder up in my heart.

" Scarlet, don't feel guilty" I said, trying to soothe her.

" I tried to save him, and I couldn't! I.... I needed someone to save me too...! I'm so useless..!" She screamed. Tears of grief rolled down her small face.

" ...Scarlet..." I said in guilt before I looked to the two boys. The one with the straw hat walked closer and closer. I tried to move but I couldn't. What is this?! He walked past me and slapped Scarlet hard on the left cheek.

" Hey! What are you doing?!" I yelled.

Scarlet POV

" Hey! What are you doing!" Gilbert yelled as I looked up at the boy named Luffy.

" Why are you crying?! It's not your fault so don't cry! You didn't kill him! Your not guilty!" Luffy yelled at me. I looked at him in the eyes. That look in his eyes, it made me stop crying. He started walking away.

" ...L-Luffy....!" He turned around." Thank you" I said in a whisper as he started walking away again. Ace turned to us with a sigh.

" You guys look like you need a place to stay. Come with us" He said as I wipe my tears away.

" Really...? Let's go Gil..!" I said and dragged Gil along.

Gilbert POV

"I can't believe we're staying at they're place. I mean they're dangerous, right?" I said to Scarlet.

" I don't think their dangerous. I think they are nice. They even let us stay at their home"

" I guess, it's getting late. Ace, do you have anything to sleep on?" I asked.

" Yeah here" He handed us two bed sheets and two blankets. I put it down next to Ace and Luffy's and we went to sleep.

Dadan POV(Curly Dadan)

I heard a racket in Ace and Luffy's room and Dogra came running.

" There are more people with Ace and Luffy again. This two of them!"

" What! Two of them!" I stomped into their room.

" Ace!? Luffy!? Who did you bring this time?!!!!" I yelled. A girl woke up. She had red hair and golden eyes.

" *yawn* Hello...is it morning?" She asked.

" ...Uuuhh.....no?" I said.

" Scarlet.... Go back to sleep" said the other boy groggily as they went back to bed. I sighed, we really can't do anything about this.

Scarlet POV

I woke up the next day, thinking about yesterday. I'm really useless, aren't I? I want to find a way to be useful. I walked around the house to find the library( IDK if they even had one). I walked in and looked at the books. They looked all boring but one caught my attention.
It was a big and bulky book with the words Devil fruits and Devil Fruit Users. I opened it up and read it.
Devil fruits are fruits that give you powers if you eat. Could I be useful if I eat one of these?
It costed a lot but I'm sure I have more than enough. I have more than the cost from my father. I closed the book and went into the village. It took me a long time but I finally found one. It was a blood red apple with black spots. I payed for it as the salesman eyed me.

" What's girlie like you do with that?" He asked.

" Eat it" before he could say anything, I left .
Do I just eat it? I bit into it and continued until there was no more. Bleh, it tastes horrible. I didn't feel any different though... I went back to Ace and Luffy's place to hear Gilbert yelled at me.

" Where were you?! I was really worried!" He yelled.

" Sorry....I was just wondering around...?" I said and he sighed.

" It's fine, as long as your unhurt" he smiled and took something out from behind him" And.... Happy birthday!" he said and handed a beautiful red cloak with a hood.

" It's so pretty....! Thank you Gil!" I smiled at it and Gil. " It's getting late, let's eat dinner!" I yelled. We went in and saw that everyone was fighting for food." Leave some for us!" I said and dragged Gil with me in the fight for food.
