Kent snapped twice and the Edgar Allen Poe statue backed away to reveal a secret staircase. As the boy walked in, it started to close. Jackson managed to sneak in before it closed officially. Once Kent was down the steps, Jackson crept down. When it was the last step he leaned against the wall and saw Wednesday tied up with ravens being projected onto her.

People were surrounding her and Jackson did not know what was happening. They all wore capes. He leaned heavily on the wall so no one could notice him.

"Who dares breach our inner sanctum?" A voice questioned.

"You can take the mask off, Bianca." The tied-up girl responded. Bianca removed her hood, and Jackson gapped. She removed the mask and turned off the projector. "Wait I preferred you with it on."

"How'd you get down here?" Xavier asked her. Jackson leaned closer to see who was there.

"Rowan showed me. Left pocket. Just like one of you showed the other psychic this place." Wednesday answered, glancing at Jackson for a moment.

"Jackson isn't..." Ajax tried to say before he revealed himself to the group, "Huh. I stand corrected. Jackson is here."

"Yo. Kent made it obvious he was up to something. I just felt the need to follow him." Jackson shrugged, glancing at Bianca.

"I did not." Kent gapped. The group turned back to him.

Jackson looked at him in disbelief, "Yeah, you did. You fell off your bed and then scurried away, cursing under your breath."

"That is somewhat suspicious, I would've investigated too," Bianca added in, giving Jackson a nod. Xavier grabbed the paper from Wednesday as she went on to explain how she found the place while Kent and Jackson argued.

"Then I solved the riddle." Wednesday finished.

"Wait, there's a riddle?" Kent looked around at the group, "I thought we just snapped twice."

"Well, aren't you the brightest of the bunch?" Wednesday asked him sarcastically. The raven-haired boy held it together barely, making sure no one saw his laugh. Only Bianca saw him.

"The nightshades are an elite social club." Bianca turned back to Wednesday as Jackson walked closer to her, "Emphasis on elite."

"We have roof parties, campouts, and the occasional midnight skinny dip," Yoko listed.

"And you didn't invite me?" Jackson faked a hurt look as Bianca nudged him to stay quiet.

"And Yoko's an amateur mixologist," Davina added, turning to her with a grin.

"She makes a killer virgin mojito. It can get pretty wild." Ajax nodded proudly. Jackson nodded, pretending to be impressed even though he had a supply of drinks under his bed if he had a bad or long day.

"Wow, do you guys even have a bedtime?" Wednesday questioned them. "Last I heard the nightshades had been disbanded."

"Yeah, the group kind of lost its charter thirty years ago after some normie kid died," Xavier explained why they were disbanded.

"You make it sound like that's not a horrible thing." Jackson pointed out to him. Xavier shrugged but Jackson didn't like that.

"Yeah, but we have a lot of wealthy alumni, so Weems looks the other way as long as we don't make any waves," Yoko explained thoroughly.

"So, what you're saying is that you do have a bedtime." Jackson nodded as the group looked at him in disbelief. "Got it."

"Someone like Rowan?" Wednesday raised her eyebrow. Jackson turned to Bianca to see how she would respond.

"We booted that loser last semester." Bianca let out to her. "Question is, what are we gonna do with them? Only members are allowed in this library."

Xavier glanced at each of them, "I say we invite them to the pledge. She is a legacy and he's so close to Weems, we could get away with even more stuff."

Jackson looked at him confused, "That's like... the nicest thing you've said to me."

"After the crap she pulled in the Poe cup, there's no way in hell. You don't want any waves, she's a tsunami. And no offense, but so is Jackson." Bianca pointed out to them.

"I get away with it, though." Jackson raised his arms in defense.

"He does get away with it." Kent nodded in his direction.

"Just because I beat you at your own game?" Wednesday called her out, "Let me save you the trouble. I'm not interested in joining.

"You're seriously turning us down?" Yoko asked in disbelief.

"Can you believe it?" Wednesday gave her the same attitude.

"Damn." Jackson cursed with a light laugh.

"Untie her," Bianca demanded after glancing at Jackson.

"I freed myself five minutes ago." Wednesday showed off the rope that once held her hands back. She took her paper from Xavier and went to leave before Kent got in her way.

"Do you want a matching black eye?" The girl questioned. Jackson pulled him back by the shirt as she left. "It's amateurs like you who give kidnapping a bad name."

"What about you?" Bianca turned to Jackson. "Are you gonna join or decline?"

"Put it to a vote. I don't care." He shrugged, going up the stairs, "Tell me if I get in or not tomorrow!"

"Still selling that fudge?" Jackson asked Bianca in his pilgrim costume the next day. His play was empty, with no fudge to be seen.

Bianca stared in disbelief, "How the hell did you sell all of that fudge so quickly?"

"Told them if they bought fudge, I would see their future for free. If it was bad, I just told them that they would have a good life." He told her as he sat down, "I am whipped."

"Does using your power that much exhaust you?" Bianca asked as she sat next to him. He nodded, putting his right leg over his left.

Jackson eyed the place, "I still can not believe that someone would make a pilgrim world. Someone really knows everyone to know their whitewashed history."

"Well, I guess they have to make their money somehow." Bianca shrugged.

"The dude's a mayor! How rich can rich get?" He huffed in annoyance.

A clearing of the throat got both of their attention. It was the girl playing Abigail Clark.

"We must sell the fudge. So quit your dilly-dallying and get to it!" She insisted with a fake smile.

"He finished selling his fudge," Bianca explained to her for him. Jackson grinned at her before grinning at the woman.

"Then sell some more." She raised her eyebrows. She left and came back with a whole new tray of fudge. She shoved it into his hands and started to walk away.

A mischievous smirk found its way to his face as he figured out an idea, "Free fudge for everyone!"

Everyone started to surround him, Bianca staring at him in shock and Abigail staring in anger. Once people cleared his way, he was left with no fudge.

"I hope you have money because that was 100 dollars worth of fudge you just wasted!" Abigail yelled at him in shock.

He pulled out his wallet and gave her a card, "Please. Put it on my dad's credit card."

She huffed as she snatched the card and walked away. Bianca walked towards him after the interaction.

"Using daddy's money, huh?" She asked him.

"Well, I guess it's our way of bonding since he's never home." He let out to her as Abigail walked back. She handed him the card.

"Maybe we should get you a better job since you are so well at this one," Abigail suggested.

"How about I look into the future and see what you're doing?" He asked. Abigail raised her arms to give the go. He closed his eyes.

"Wow, you get married and divorced on the same day." He said while watching. The woman scoffed as Jackson kept going. "Damn, you go to jail too."

"Jackson, easy," Bianca told him. He stayed in his trance before he fell back suddenly. Bianca caught him as they both fell. "What happened?"

"I don't know, at one moment I'm watching her and the next I'm seeing something else." He spoke as he clutched his head.

"Take him to the back," Abigail instructed as guests started to watch him. Bianca helped him up as they walked to the back.

"You good?" She questioned as he sat in the chair.

"Not really." He answered honestly. "You know how Xavier reminds you of the cons of your powers?"

She nodded, waiting for him to go on. He sighed, "My con is that I can't tell anyone. It might ruin the timeline and I can't let that happen. And then I'm stuck in a time loop of that playing in my head over and over until it finally happens. And then I can get help."

"Not to be obvious, but that sucks." She sat in the chair next to him.

"That's why I tend to drink my problems away. It helps me sleep." He told her honestly.

"Well, if you need someone to drink with you... I guess I can do something else than a virgin mojito." Bianca turned to him. They smiled at each other as they enjoyed one's company.
