"Rei, I don't have nothing to wear!" Roger yelled out the following day when the band was to meet John Reid. Reina already knew him due to the fact that her Uncle Elton introduced him to the whole Jane family and Reid had nothing but utter respect to them all.

"Roger, you're exaggerating," Reina rolled her eyes, heading towards Roger's room. He was sitting on the edge of his bed, looking at the pile of clothes hung up due to the fact that Reina washed them when he was at band practice. "Look, you have a brown jacket. Pair it up with this black button up and just find pants that will match these. Don't make me regret picking these two."

She turned around to leave but Roger grabbed her wrist, stopping her from moving any further.

"You're coming with us," Roger said. Reina furrowed her eyebrows at him. "Didn't Freddie tell ya?" Reina shook her head. "Freddy and all of us agreed that it will make us less nervous if you, the only one that knows John Reid, would be there with us. So, get ready."

"Why didn't you tell me before dimwit?" Reina slapped him at the back of his head. "These curls take a really long time to take care of."

"Just hurry up," Roger rolled his eyes playfully. "Also, you're welcome because I at least told you two hours before we have to go."

"Fuck you, Rog," Reina breathed out. "You scared me. I thought I was going to have to go and see John Reid with my hair all messed up and tired."

"No kiss as a thank you?" Roger teased, leaning down to Reina's height and pointing at his cheek. Reina sighed, kidding his cheek. "There."

!

"How are you Reina?" Brian asked after the band was waiting for Freddie to come. Reina nodded.

"I'm good," she answered. "It's been a little hectic due to the fact that this asshole keeps bringing girls and having sex with them. I can't sleep at night."

They all turned to glare at Roger, who had his hands up in defense.

"Anyway," Reina started, scratching her arm and looking around so she could see if Freddie was anywhere near. "What time did Freddie say he'll come?"

"You're sure he said 12 o'clock?" Roger questioned, not sure himself at what time Freddie or John Reid were coming.

"Yes," Brian answered. ""Midday at the pub, don't be drunk. That's what he said."

"You look a bit nervous, Brian" Deaky commented. Reina nodded, agreeing with the man.

"John, I'm fine."

"You're usually so particular."

Reina turned to look around again before she came face to face with Freddie. She gaped at his clothes, the bright purple shirt and the white jacket on top made him stand out. She almost said something when the three men that passed by their table said something to Freddie.

"Wow!" Brian let out as soon as he saw Freddie, too. Roger and Deaky turned to face where Reina and Brian were looking at. "I didn't know it was fancy dress, Fred."

Freddie spread his arms, a cup held in his left hand. "I've gotta make an impression, darling."

"You look like an angry lizard," Brian continued with his teasing causing Reina to chuckle a little before complimenting him when all the boys only teased.

"You look bizarre, Fred," she said. "But a good type of bizarre that suits you."

"Thank you, Rei."

"It's your best work," Deaky said.

"Very subtle."

"You gonna fly away?" Deaky teased more. "Can I borrow it for Sunday church?"

The band immediately perked up when a chair was placed at the end of the table, a man dressed in a suit standing there with a small smile on his face as he sat down. The band fixed their posture and Reina stared at them with confused faces. She turned to look at Reid.

"Wassup Reid?" Reina shook his hand as the man smiled at her, nodding his head. "Haven't seen you in a while. Uncle Elton hasn't brought you and that dimwit of yours to visit us anymore."

"It's nice to see you, too, Reina," John chuckled, knowing very clearly who she was calling a dimwit. Reina and him dropped their hands, Reid facing the band. "So, this is Queen. And you," he pointed at Freddie, "must be Freddie Mercury. You've got a gift. You all have. So tell me... what makes Queen any different from all the other wannabe rock stars I meet?"

Reina turned to face the band, propping her chin on her hand. Roger smiled at her, flipping her hair to her face so it would cover it. Reina him in the arm, immediately listening in to Freddie's response.

"I'll tell you what it is," he started. "We're four misfits who don't belong together, playing to the other misfits. The outcasts right at the back of the room who are pretty sure they don't belong either. We belong to them."

Reina smiled at his words, turning to look at Reid who looked satisfied with his response as well.

"We're a family," Brian added.

"But no two of us are the same," Roger said before he turned to look at Reina who was paying at the man that approached Reid with a cup.

"Paul," Reina glared at him as the man immediately looked at Freddie. "Paul Prenter... meet Queen... our new signing."

"Reina," Paul curtly nodded. The girl simply crossed her arms, not daring to show any emotion on her
face when Paul glared at her with the same hatred she had for him.

"Paul," Roger placed his hand on her thigh, rubbing his thumb on it as he noticed how annoyed Reina looked.

"Paul will be looking after your day-to-day," Reid cut in, making Reina and Paul looked away from each other. Reina and Paul met a few years back when Elton introduced them. He thought that they would get along but Reina didn't like his nosey ass and he didn't like her friends or her personality.

"Pleasure."

"If I can get you on radio," Reid started, looking at Reina for a second before turning to look at Queen, "maybe I can get you on television."

"Top of the Pops?" Both Reina and Roger questioned, interested in the man's words. They dismissed the fact they said the same thing, listening to the man's answer.

"Hopefully."

"And then?"

"And then," Reid and Reina looked at each other, smiling, "it's only the biggest television program in the country. No one's ever even heard of you. Look, I admire your enthusiasm. If it goes well, if it happens... I've got a promotional tour of Japan in mind. Thanks to Reina for giving me that idea."

"We'll want more," Reina looked at Freddie, just wanting Freddie to take it. But knowing the man, Freddie wouldn't just want that.

"Every band wants more."

"Every band's not Queen," Deaky said, watching as Roger and Reina drank from the same cup. Reid stared at all of them amusedly, noticing the curly-haired girl and the blonde smiling at each other.

With a last nod, he stood up, shook their hands and left.
