"So, how did you come across an estate like this?" Vanya asked as she took of sip of her scotch. "Well, it's rather strange, I was looking for a new start, and I got lost in a grassy field, and when I finally managed to get out, I found this place," Five answered. The majority of The Creative Crew were having fun, engaged in the conversation. However, Virginia was a little suspicious of the mansion. She meant what she had said in that skype call, and kept a close eye open for anything that looked out of the ordinary.

"Five?" she called out to him. He stopped talking and looked over at Virginia, intently listening to what she had to say. "Where is the bathroom?" she asked. "Just down the hall," he answered. Before Virginia could stand up, Maisie grabbed her hand and leaned in towards her ear. "What are you doing?" she asked. "Something seems off about this place. I'm using the bathroom as a cover-up so I can check out the house," Virginia answered.

Maisie was a little hesitant, not wanting Five to find out about the real reason and have her and her friends kicked out of the party. "Okay,  but be back quickly, just get a quick peek and get out," she whispered. Virginia nodded her head and left the room. While the party continued in the sitting room, Virginia followed Five's instructions and walked down the hall. At the end of the hall stood a dark oak pushing door. Virginia heard footsteps approach that door, and in a panic , she hid in the bathroom and closed the door, covering her mouth to prevent any sound from escaping.

She looked through the small keyhole and saw it was one of Five's staff in the hallway. It appeared to be one of the maids. Jeanette? The maid turned her head to each side, like she was worried that someone was watching her, and tore up a small slip of paper in her hands. The pieces of the paper fluttered to the ground, and the maid kicked at them, trying to sweep them underneath the rug, like the note never existed.

The maid went back into the mysterious room, and Virginia let out a breath of relief as she opened the bathroom door and carefully took the pieces from underneath the rug. The maid had ripped them into many pieces, making it difficult for Virginia to put the pieces together and decode the message. But on one piece, she found the word "poisoned," written in black ink. On a second piece, the words, "the guests," were written.

Virginia's eyes grew wide as she reread those two pieces and quickly shoved them into the pocket of her dress before returning to the sitting room. "What took you so long?" Maisie asked once Virginia sat back down. "I saw something weird, Jeanette the maid, ripped up a note, and I looked through it and found this," Virginia answered, pulling the pieces out of her pocket. Maisie's eyes grew wide as she read the two pieces, and looked over at Five for a second before reconnecting her gaze with Virginia's.

"You don't think Five has anything to do with this, do you?" she asked. "I don't think so, Maisie. I mean, Five has been with us the whole night so he couldn't have given her the note," Virginia answered. "So, who gave her the note?" A bell rang from the dining room, meaning that Dinner was ready. "Well, I say we should continue this conversation at dinner, don't you think?" Five said as he stood up from his chair and led everyone into the dining room, where everything was neatly laid out.

Silver plates with appetizers, ham, turkey, and various other delectables covered the center of the table. In front of them were white and gold plates with small index cards with the guest's names written on them. "Find your seats, and we can begin the feast," Five said. The guests walked around the room, trying to find their seats. To Maisie's surprise, her seat was right next to Five's at the head of the table. Once everyone was seated, they began to dig through the food and place them on their plates, and continued their conversations as they ate.

"Are you having a good time so far?" Five asked as Maisie took a bite out of one of the appetizers. She almost choked when Five started speaking to her but played it off like the food went down the wrong pipe. "Yes, I appreciate that you invited me tonight," she smiled. Five smiled back at her before taking a bite out of his portion of salad. Maisie looked over to her friends and saw that Dusk was talking to Klaus. Mckenna was talking to Ben, and Virginia was eating her food.

Then, as she was about to communicate with Five some more, the lights in the mansion began flickering on and off, bringing the conversations to an immediate stop. "What's going on? Why are the lights turning on and off?" Diego asked. The flickering continued for another minute, and the lights went off completely.

"What's going on?" Five asked about to stand up from his chair in the darkness. "Someone get the light switch!" Dusk shrieked as she held onto the arms of her chair, her knuckles becoming whiter the longer she held on. Five stumbled over to the light switch, and the lights turned on like nothing was wrong with them.

Then, the room was full of screaming as everyone looked towards the entrance to the room. Five looked down and saw Jeanette was lying on the ground with foam coming out of her mouth. Her head tilted towards the guests pale as a ghost.

She was dead.
