^ Cody's Secret place

Sandra and I are in the middle of cleaning the house when someone knocks on the door. I look at Sandra and she shrugs.

"Who's going to get the door?"

Sandra points at me. "I'm not dressed to answer it."

I laugh. "Are you seeing what I'm wearing?"

"Yes, which is the perfect thing to wear when answering the door for tall, broad and gloomy."

I shake my head. "I'm going to make you pay for this." I run my fingers through my hair.

I am wearing boxers with hearts on them and a t-shirt with heart.

My hands are shaking as I grasp the door handle. I open the door slightly and stick my head out the door. "What are you doing here?"

Cody lifts up a picnic basket. "I want you and Sandra to come on a picnic with me."

I look at Sandra and she nods her head and mouth. "Yes."

I open the door for Cody and he walks in.

He smirks. "Nice pj's. Did you wear them especially for me?"

I roll my eyes. "Yeah, Cods. These hearts are for you." I touch his cheek with hand. "I'll be right back.

He pouts. "Please, don't take my heart away."

I run to my room and get changed.

Cody holds my hand as we walk through the National Park. "You are going to love the view from the place I'm taking you."

I slip on a rock and Cody catches me. "Thank you."

Cody pulls me closer to him as we continue our hike. The view from where we are is already spectacular. I can see the the ocean, surfers and the islands that surround this place.

"We don't have that much further to go."

There's a set of stairs and we climb that. At the top is a small river with a waterfall.

"This place is amazing."

Cody smiles. "I'm glad you like it."

Sandra stands next to me. "How did you come across this place?"

"A group of friends and I came across this place when we were hiking. We got sick of sticking to the trail and I stumbled across this section. You two ladies are the only ones besides my friends and I to know about this place. I want to keep it a secret."

I nod. "Cody's secret place is safe with me,"

"And me," Sandra pipes up.

Cody sets the picnic blanket on the ground and pulls out some sandwiches.

Sandra and I move over to the blanket.

Cody pulls me next to him. "I hope you like ham and cheese sandwiches."

I smile. "I do." I bite into the sandwich.

Cody pulls out a bottle of wine and pours each of us a glass. "I'm going to make a toast." He hands Sandra and I our glasses.

"Thank you."

"Here's to making new friends."

We clink the glasses and drink.

I look into the river.

I really want to go for a swim.

Sandra look at me. "I'm going to head back to the car."

I stand next to Sandra. "You don't need to leave."

She nods. "Yeah, I do. Cody's been eyeing you all day and I feel like a third wheel around you and tall, broad and gloomy."

I laugh. "Are you ever going to stop calling him that?"

"Nah," she waves.

I watch her leave.

Cody pulls two towels out of his backpack. "Now she's gone. Do you want to go for swim?"

I nod.

I pick the towel up and wrap myself around it. I take off my skirt and t-shirt and wrap the towel back around me. I'm not going to let Cody catch a glimpse of me on my underwear.

If I knew we were coming here I would have packed in a swimsuit.

Cody looks at me. "Are you going to get rid of that towel anytime soon?"

I shake my head. "You jump in first and turn around."

I watch Cody takes off his short and t-shirt. The muscles on his back flex and I lick my lips.

Cody smirks. "I'm irresistible."

I shove him and he falls on the moss.

I laugh. "Be careful, Mr Irresistible."

Cody moves towards the lake and jumps in. He swims to the surface. "It's fudging cold in here."

I move closer to the river. "Cody turn around." I yell.

Cody turns away from me.

I drop the towel and dive in.

I swim towards Cody.

My teeth start to chatter from the cold water.

Cody turns to me. "I'll race you to the waterfall."

I smile. "Your on."

I use breaststroke to swim to the waterfall and Cody is using freestyle. I reach it first.

Cody pulls himself up on a rock. He muscles flex and he turns to me. "Can you join me on the rock, please?"

I shake my head. "I like it in here."

Cody jumps off the rock and splashes me.

When Cody rises I throw water at him.

He pulls me close to him.

I look at his lips and move towards them.

His lips are soft when I meet them with mine. I can taste the water from the river on them. He slips his tongue into my mouth. I run my fingers through his hair.

Cody pulls away. "Will you have dinner with on Friday night?"

I smile. "Okay,"

He kisses me again.

I start shivering.

"It's time for us to get out of the water. Your freezing." Cody swims to rocks and hoists himself up. He picks up my towel and opens it for me. He turns away.

I pull myself up onto a rock and walk over to the towel. I take it from him. "Thanks for not peeking. I know how much you wanted to."

Cody pulls me into his side. "I'm not going to rush you into anything, Dani. I'll take all my cues from you."

I smile. "That's a good boy."

When we get to our clothes I run the towel over my underwear, drying the best I can before slipping on my skirt and t-shirt. After I'm dressed I put my tanned leg on a rock and wipe the water away and repeat the movement with the other legs.

Cody shakes his head. "That's too much."

I laugh.

Cody gathers his picnic stuff and takes my hand.

Cody and I stop at the rock edge that leads to the ocean and we watch the sun set. "The sun set looks beautiful with you by my side."

"It is beautiful and I'd prefer to be out of the national park before I trip on a rock and fall to my death in the dark. Did you even pack a flashlight?"

Cody shakes his head. "That's the one thing I forgot." He takes my hand and we walk toward the trail that that leads to the beach.

We reach the beach as the sun descents behind the ocean leaving, pink, purple and blue in the sky letting us know tomorrow will be a perfect day for when I'm locked in the dingy mail room.

My phone alerts me to a text message and I read the message.

Sandra: I got a lift home. See you tonight.
