I slowly looked up. A large, flat thing with tentacles at its backside and alien flora on its back was what greeted me. I scanned it.

"Reefback?"

Well, I tried to say that, at least. It sounded more like this:

"blubbbubbub?"

Okay, so it's friendly. Good to know, because there's at least ten, plus a few juveniles.

I saw a wreck on the ground while exploring the Reefback Central. I think it was from the Aurora. I explored while constantly eyeballing my oxygen. I found something interesting inside.

"lburbuele?" Translation: "Seamoth?"

Yeah, so I found a fragment of a vehicle. I went back after completing the blueprint, only to realize I need a thing I scanned earlier called the Mobile Vehicle Bay, or MVB. Sigh.

Lots of material-collecting later, I had myself a Seaglide and a Seamoth. I started heading toward the Aurora.

I would soon realize that is a big mistake.

I forgot to mention that a while ago, the Aurora exploded. So basically, it allowed me a way in, but I also had to waste battery and drive all the way back home. To get a freaking radiation suit.

Okay, fully equipped and after making a spare power cell just in case, I made my way to the Aurora. While heading to the "Entrance", I heard distant roaring.

It was very loud.

Coming from the Aurora's entrance.

Where I was headed.
