Categories are where your Naruto story fits in, Each category is explained down below.

General Naruto- For the stories that either follow the cannon or loosely follow it involving an OC or SI.(Own Character/Self-Insert) This could also involve love interests or ships going into different directions. This also includes any stories that don't fit into the other categories. 

Modern Naruto(AU)-This takes place in the 'real world' meaning that chakra does not exist AND are set either in the modern era like High school or Adult world like College. This also follows stories set in different worlds, Eras that include times like 40's, 50's, and feudal. This also includes things that involve werewolves, vampires, or witches.

Naruto LGBTQ-This is stories involving same-sex relationships, Trans, Bi, or anything else that falls underneath the LGBTQ communities. 

One-shots- Short stories that involve the Naruto characters in off settings usually away from canon. An example would be team seven celebrating Christmas.

Akatsuki-These are stories that involved only the members of the Akatsuki in some way.

Uchiha's-These are stories that involved only the members of the Uchiha clan in some way.

Before Naruto's Generation-These are stories that involved only characters that before Naruto's generation is born in some way.

The Aftermath-Stories that either take place after the war or in the future during Bolt's generation.

Kunoichi Only-These stories involve only the females of the Naruto manga in some way. An example would be a story that is only about Sakura.

Time Travel- These are stories that involve the characters traveling through time somehow. 

Crossovers- These are stories that involve characters or aspects from fandoms other than Naruto.
