Trenton

My name is Trenton Williams. I lead a normal life in my hometown. That is, until a few weeks ago. I’m graduating high school this year, and pretty much do nothing in my spare time other than read and play volleyball. However normal you think this story may be, BEWARE! This story is beyond normal. Many of you will think this is a fictional story. I envy you for having this mindset. Count yourself lucky that it is not after you- yet. Because once it starts chasing you, there is no way out.

         Ironically, it started on October 31. Since then, things have been getting more and more strange. And yet I have told no one. My mistake. One breezeless day, as I was walking to school with my friends, Dawson, Megan, Riley, and Serena, I had turned a corner to enter my school. I was walking in front of everyone because I was making a call to my girlfriend, Kylie. As I was turning the corner, a massive pile of leaves spun up in front of me. However, there was no breeze. I looked around to see if anyone else saw it, but no one was around. As I turned, a flash of black and white caught my eye, but when I looked closer, there was nothing there. I tried to tell people, but no one believed me when I said that the leaves started rasping things that almost sounded like “death”, “eternal torment”, and “insanity” over and over again. Another time, when I was at the farmers market with Kylie, I felt as though something was watching us. I kept looking around, but saw nothing. I went to the bathroom to wash my face and clear my head. As I looked up from the sink, the mirror in front of me was starting to fog up. I saw my face, brown hair sweeping down just above my tree-bark brown eyes, and above that, an inhumanly tall being standing right behind me. I flinched and turned around, but the figure was gone. I hadn’t seen its face, but I had seen that it was wearing a suit and tie. However, as I was leaving, I heard whispers of “death”, “eternal torment”, and “insanity” over and over again.
