Sheriff Stilinski arrested Theo, Jiang, and Tierney for murder. Theo was definitely capable of murder, but he hadn't recently murdered anyone. Sheriff Stilinski put the three in a jail cell at the station. While Jiang and Tierney sat down together on the bench, Theo was walking back and forth, shouting. Brett and Zia were waiting with the sheriff and Scott's pack. Sheriff Stilinski didn't want Brett to see Jiang and Tierney because of his relationship with him.

"I had nothing to do with this! Hello? Come on!" Theo shouted, throwing his hands up slightly. He turned to the Jiang and Tierney. "Who did you kill? Was it you? You? Both of you? Who's the murderer?" They didn't respond. There was only silence. "Alright, I get it. The longer you stay quiet, the better. Right? But you're here for murder and they're keeping me here, too, but you're the murderers."

"We're not murderers!" Jiang shouted.

"If you'd been there, you'd know we didn't have a choice. They came after us," Jiang hissed.

"Jiang, shut up," Tierney hissed back.

Theo let out a satisfied smirk. "We good?" he asked, looking at the camera.

Back in the office, Sheriff Stilinski shook his head. "I'm not letting them out. We've got two bodies covered in slash marks. They confessed to killing two people."

"Hunters," Scott said.

"People, Scott. Self-defense or not, they're still here. The other guys are dead, and there's a process I have to follow," Sherrif Stilinski said.

"Yeah, but you know what's happening around here. It's not safe for them," Scott said.

"This may actually be the safest place for them in Beacon Hills. At least, I can protect them here."

"Would Stiles think that?" Lydia asked.

"Especially if one of your deputies is working for Gerard?" Malia asked.

"I'm not buying that. I know these deputies like the back of my hand. I know their families, their kids, their brothers, and sisters... I know who they are, and I trust them," Sheriff Stilinski said.

"You know who they were. There's something out there. Everyone's afraid, and it's getting worse," Liam spoke.

"Yeah, you can't protect two werewolves from hunters if they're already on the inside," Scott said.

"It's Quinn, right? You sure it was a deputy who shot you? Absolutely one-hundred-percent sure?" Sheriff Stilinski asked.

Bright lights flashed outside the station. Monroe and a dozen well-armed hunters were waiting there. The sheriff ordered all his officers to put their weapons away and get away from the windows. He disarmed himself and prepared to go outside to seek a peaceful resolution. Monroe and other frightened people with weapons were surrounding the station. She wanted Jiang and Tierney because of who they killed.

"How do we get Jiang and Tierney out?" Liam asked.

Malia rolled her eyes. "Screw them. It's Stilinski's job."

Scott stared at her as if he was expecting more from her, but he knew better than that. "But it's our job to keep them alive."

Theo shrugged. "Not mine."

"Do you want me to just kill him?" Liam asked.

"No, just leave him. Can we please just go?" Malia asked.

"We're not going anywhere. Don't you get it? We're trapped. They have all the windows and doors covered. We're going to die in here," Quinn grimly said.

"Does someone want to kill her?" Theo asked.

"Shut up!" Malia shouted. She was breathing heavily.

"Malia, hey. Take a breath. You're shaking," Scott pointed out.

"I'm fine," she responded.

"Guys, there's only a dozen of them out there. We can take them!" Lydia exclaimed.

"Scott, they're the last of Satomi's pack. We can't leave them behind," Liam urgently said.

Scott sighed and nodded. "Okay, we go, but Jiang and Tierney are coming with us."

Noah was incensed because Monroe said they had until midnight. Parrish said the grenade came from inside the station. Deputy Vargas was holding the pin from the grenade as she watched the chaos. Liam shoved Nolan into the room and showed Scott the wolfsbane liquid, claiming Nolan was trying to kill them. Scott roared at Jiang and Tierney, flashing his red eyes. He wanted to see the color of their eyes. Their eyes glowed a vibrant blue, indicating they killed an innocent.

Brett growled, walking forward, attempting to push through Scott. Zia grabbed his bicep and tried to push him back. He looked back at her and growled at her. Zia was taken aback. She frowned, but stood her ground, scowling at him. She shook her head and pulled him to the side to get a food look at Jiang and Tierney.

"Tell me what happened. They were Hunters. If I'm asking my friends to risk their lives for you, then you have to tell me the truth. What happened?" Scott questioned.

Jiang sighed. "Satomi didn't want to fight. We were on the run for two days, but they were everywhere. Then it was just us, hiding in the storm drain while Satomi tried to talk to them, but they didn't want to talk. She died so we could keep running."

"And then what?" Scott asked.

"We stopped running and we started hunting them instead," Tierney replied.

"How?" Scott asked.

"It's not hard to use public records to find where someone lives. All you need is a name," Tierney said.

"Were they the ones that killed Satomi? Or Lori? Did you see them kill anyone?" Scott asked.

"Does it matter?"

"It does matter. You can't kill innocent people," Scott retorted.

"They murdered our whole pack!" Tierney exclaimed. "You really think any of them are more innocent than us?"

"What are you gonna do?" Jiang asked, frightened for his life.

Scott sighed. "I don't know."

Zia noticed something was very wrong. Her senses were tingling and her aura was reaching out across the room, trying to find the victim. She found it.

Lydia looked at Zia, breathing heavily. "That wasn't just panic. It's in here with us."

"What do you mean?" Sheriff Stilinski asked.

"Whatever's causing the fear. The same thing that drove the wolves to kill each other. It's here with us," Lydia explained.

"Guys, it's almost midnight. We're out of time," Scott urgently said.

"I've already got two bodies. I'm not giving Monroe two more," Sheriff Stilinski said.

"I watched two guys bring them in and tie them up," Theo said.

Scott sighed. "Okay, but how long did they actually have Tierney and Jiang?"

"A couple hours, maybe?" Theo said in a questioning manner.

"Did Monroe talk to them?" Scott asked.

Theo shook his head. "No, I don't think so. Just that guy from Eichen House, maybe one or two other guys with shotguns. I think they were waiting for Monroe to do the real interrogating."

"So, she might not have seen them," Scott said.

"What are you getting at, Scott?" Sheriff Stilinski asked.

"I've got an idea. I don't think you're gonna like it."

"If it keeps someone from getting killed, I'm pretty open."

"Monroe said that she wanted Jiang and Tierney brought out - dead or alive," Scott said.

Zia shook her head. "I hope you're not suggesting what I think you're suggesting. They could die!"

"They could die either way!" Scott shouted. "Zia, this is technically your pack now. I understand that you want to protect them, but...you can't protect everyone."

"But I can try," she whispered.

Scott was immediately taken back to the past. Zia reminded him of himself.

"If they die, then I was brought here for nothing. Jiang and Tierney are all Brett has. I'll become even more useless Scott. I don't want them to die."

"I know, Zia, but this may be our only option."
