I smacked my alarm clock off. Dang morning already, how much sleep did I get last night??? Hmmmm Oh right the party!! Yeah that was totally awesome. I get up and open the curtains to my room. Wow, cloudy today, my kind of day. I then hear the door slowly open behind me.

"Good Morning sweety!"

"*Groan* There is no good mornings Andrea so can you please just leave me be!"

" Hmph, whatever. Anyways I am just here to say that you need to hurry your ass and get to school, you are going to be late. And please Jane, can you stop calling me by my real name."

She takes out my school uniform out from my wardrobe and places it on my bed for me. I continue to stare out the window.

"Well first off". I turn around to face her. "You are not my mother Andrea, Hell I don't even though how dad fell in love with you". I then point my index finger at her. "Don't call me sweety and don't call me your daughter, cause guess what, I am not" I then turn back and stare out of the window.

"Very well then, if it's going to be one of those morning's Jane, then you are not aloud any friends over this afternoon!". I turned to face her again and as I did she slapped me across the face. "Find your own way to school today" She then turns and leaves my room.

I fall onto the bed holding my check and started crying. Why Dad..... Why??? Why did you leave mum and run off with this slut taking me with you..... Why????

I then hear my phone go off and pick it up seeing it was my BFF Amy.

Amy: Hey Girl, how ya doing???

Jane: Just another morning for me...

Amy: Did The Demon go off at you again??😞😞

Jane: Yep, sucks for me doesn't it

Amy: Poor thing, Oh sometimes I wish I could just 🔪 her. She shouldn't treat you like that!

Jane: I know. Can't wait to get back to school, won't even miss her at all!

Amy: I wouldn't, hows ya dad doing????

Jane: Hanging out with the demon like always!

Amy: Nothings changed for you hasn't it

Jane: No unfortunately... well, soon I'll be out of this madness and off to a boarding school!🎊🎊🎉🎉

Amy: Yeah, I mean I am going to miss my mum and dad when I go to the boarding school😭

Jane: Well, I'll miss my mum BUT I won't miss my horrible father or the demon

Amy: Fair point!

Jane: Have to get ready now, cause I have to walk to school again!

Amy: Alright meet you at the corner of my street?

Jane: Yeah meet ya there Bai!😄

Amy: Bai!😝

I then put my phone down on my bedside table and grab my uniform and head towards the bathroom.

About 15 minutes later~~

I grab my phone off my bedside table and pick up my school bag from my wardrobe. Before I leave I make sure I look good and adjust my two pig tales. Alright, another day of school..... Yay..... at least it's better than being with the wicked witch of the west.

I then head out of my room closing the door behind it. I swear this mansion has no sense of style, nothing like Bruce Wayne's mansion, no one can top that! I head down the hallway towards the entry way.

"Well, how is my fine daughter this morning!"

I turn around to see dad and the demon standing together while the demon rests her head on his shoulder.

"You mean your not fine daughter this morning, no I feel horrible like every morning!"

"Now now Jane, I just asked."

"Alright then, well I must be heading off since I'm WALKING to school this morning so Bye!"

I was about to turn the door handle but dad interrupted me "Not so fast young lady, your mother said you were giving her a hard time this morning saying that she's not your mother and saying that you are not her daughter"

"Well, dad it's just plain and simple, she is not my mother!"

"SHE IS NOW JANE! That horrible woman that was you mother is gone! We are never getting back together!"

"WELL I JUST WISH I WENT WITH HER INSTEAD OF YOU"

"SHE DIDN'T WANT YOU! I have told you this a hundred times Jane, that if she wanted to keep you she would've taken you with her!"

"WELL I DON'T BELIEVE IT! I BET YOU YOU THREATENED HER DIDN'T YOU!"

"THAT'S ENOUGH JANE! Just go to school. God, why do we have the same argument every morning!"

"Oh finally, I didn't want to lose my voice for my band practice this afternoon. Bye dad see ya at, well let's just say at dinner, Bye!"

This time before the demon could go off at me for my punishment opened the door and rushed outside instantly shutting the door behind me. Yep, just another day in this household.

I skip through the driveway and head towards the gate. Locked. Again seriously! Guess I have to climbed the wall. I then head towards the outer wall and climbed up the tree closest to the wall. I threw the bag over and climbed the rest of the branch and jumped down on the other side of the wall. I picked up my bag and headed down the road.

As I was walking I decided to put on my headphones and listen to one of my killer tunes I recorded on my phone. Hmmmmmm how about Gasoline. I press play on tune and continue down towards Amy's street.

I walk along the street and start kicking stones at parked cars.

I then pause the music on my phone as I see Amy waiting for me on the corner of Kimberly street. I take off my headphones and put them away in my bag.

"HEY AMY!"

"HEY JANE!"

I walk up to her and we do our little secret handshake. I mean, who doesn't have a secret handshake!

"Shall we start walking to school"

"Sure!"

Me and Amy then start to walk down the path to school.

"So how ya doing Amy?"

"Meh, nothing much. Just a lot of school work and that maths exam coming up! Seriously, I have been studying every night!"

"Well, to be honest I having studied yet.... I don't even really care....."

Amy then stops and turns towards me.

"Look Jane, I know you haven't been yourself lately but come on. This isn't you! Where's the spunky high energetic Jane gone??"

I sigh. "Sorry Amy, it's just not my day today you know"

"Oh come on, it's like this everyday"

"Wellllllll, everyday is not my day"

She face palms her face. "Hahaha very funny"

"Alright then, I know something that will make you cheer up"

She takes her bag off her shoulder and pulls out a Special Comic Addition of Batman Mad Love.

"*Squeals* OMG, you got me the special edition of that, *gasp* How did you find it???"

"I just found it at a comic book store Jesus"

"But your parents will never let you have it unless--- you didn't"

"I did, no one even noticed that I stole it"

"Nice!"

We then continue walking to school chatting about comic books. I'm glad I have my best friend Amy who always manages to cheer me up. Even though it might be on the rare occasion.

Deep down though, I feel like a Jester who just realized that the joke is on me.......

First chapter done! It might seem boring at first but don't worry I plan to make it more adventurous and exciting you know!
