 Chapter 1: The Reawakening of the Legendary Reploid

After the defeat of the sinister Dr. Weil by the hands of the Legendary Reploid known as "Zero", the orbital satellite called Ragnarok was on the verge of destruction. 

The Red Reploid knew in his mind that it was already too late for him to be transported back down to Earth, so he merely accepted his fate and waited for the inevitable, all the while thinking of the time he had spent fighting alongside Ciel, as well as the Resistance against Neo Arcadia. 

However, what happened next, was something that not even he was prepared for.

Zero: *Sigh* (Ciel, X, everyone… I just want to say… Thank you… For everything…)

Suddenly, a bright yellow light began surrounding Zero, leaving him somewhat confused, before ultimately teleporting him away. 

Location - Country of Melromarc

Four people gathered around a circle. In times like these, people with holy powers would be in this situation, however, it wasn't the case with people like this. 

These four people were dressed in black robes, praying that someone, or rather something, would come in to save them once more. Their attention was immediately gained towards a magical circle on the floor, which gave off a bright light until finally someone appeared right in front of them.

From their perspective, the person that appeared before them resembles that of a young man who appears to be in their early twenties, with a bright red color scheme, as well as serious looking black eyes. He wore some kind of armor which looked extremely light for the most part with a red, gold, black and white color scheme, and he also wore a streamlined helmet, with a sharp greenish-blue crystal at the front, to present a much sleeker look. Perhaps his most striking feature is his long blond hair that flowed freely about in a samurai-like hairstyle.

Zero slowly got up and rubbed his head.

Zero: Uh… Huh? Wha… Where am I?

He looked around and saw that there were four people in black robes.

Zero (What's going on? Who are these people?)

???: The summoning was successful, I dare say.

This caused Zero to raise an eyebrow at what they were saying.

Zero: (What do they mean, "The summoning was successful?")

One of the robed individuals stepped forward and spoke to Zero. 

???: Oh, great warrior from another world, our world is in grave danger, and we need your help to save it. Right now, the Waves of Catastrophe are upon us and we are unsure if the Four Cardinal Heroes can help fend off the waves.

Zero looked even more confused as he tried to understand what it is that they were saying. 

Zero: (Waves of Catastrophe? Four Cardinal Heroes? What the hell are they talking about?)

It was then that he noticed something happening with his vision. He began to see multiple items and icons appear in front of him. 

Zero: What the? Is this… like a hud?

He then noticed his name in the top-left corner with a level one beside it.

???: Tell us, sir hero. What is your name?

Zero finally got up and dusted himself off. 

Zero: Sorry, but I don't know how I feel about that. You all just summoned me out of the blue, and suddenly you're asking me for my name? Why do you tell me yours before asking for mine?

It was then that three of the hooded figures began to draw weapons, which Zero noticed. He immediately got into a fighting stance, however he quickly noticed how his vision was trying to display the levels of the people standing right in front of him. 

Then, he pulled out his most trusted weapon, the Z-Saber, which was a powerful saber weapon that also possessed a translucent green triangle-shaped blade.

It was then that the fourth individual in a black robe yelled out to the others. 

???: Put your weapons away!

Thankfully, everyone in the room (including Zero) listened and stood down. The person then removed the hood of the robe and revealed themselves to everyone. 

She was a fair-skinned beautiful woman with purple hair tied up in a bob with long bangs. She was wearing a purple and white intricately-decorated royal gown, with what appears to be a bronze breastplate. 

She then approached Zero and bowed with respect, catching him by surprise.

Queen Mirelia: You have a very valid point, my good sir. Please allow me to introduce myself. My name is Mirelia Melromarc, and I am the Queen of the country of Melromarc. 

Zero: Melromarc?

Queen Mirelia: It is the country that you are in now.

Zero: … I see…

Zero awkwardly bowed his head toward the Queen. She had a confused look, but she easily put that aside. 

Queen Mirelia: These are my loyal servants, known as the Shadows. They are skilled assassins that assist me whenever I'm away from the palace. 

As she introduced the Shadows, they all showed respect towards the Red Reploid.

Zero: So, this whole summoning thing, you mentioned these "Four Cardinal Heroes," right? 

Queen Mirelia: Yes, that is correct. 

Zero: Well, what I want to know is, if you already have these so-called heroes, why in the world would you summon me?

Queen Mirelia: I understand your confusion, but I ask you that you follow me. I will give Full details of what is currently happening in our world and the reason why we summoned you. This will clear things up tremendously. 

Zero merely nodded in agreement, as listening to the Queen's words will definitely help him understand what is going on. As the five of them walked through the halls, the Queen remembered something as she turned around and looked at Zero, making him raise an eyebrow. 

Zero: Something wrong, your majesty?

Queen Mirelia: Please forgive me, but I don't think you told me your name. 

The Red Reploid was silent for about two minutes, until finally, letting out a small sigh and muttered only one word.

Zero: … Zero…

Queen Mirelia: I beg your pardon?

Zero: That's my name… Zero…

Queen Mirelia: Oh, I see. Well then, it's a pleasure to make your acquaintance, Zero.

As the Queen extended her hand to Zero, he gladly took the Queen's hand and shook it.

A/N: And here we go! A Brand-New Adventure Begins! I sincerely hope you all will enjoy this story, as I am having some good thoughts about this one. 

Now onto something's to expect in this story…

This story features Zero after the events of Mega Man Zero 4, meaning he'll have all of his weapons from the Zero series at his disposal. 

1. Zero will also have access to the Black Zero & Awakened Zero Forms from the X series, though they'll take the place of the Curse Series for the Four Cardinal Heroes. 

2. Over the course of the story, Zero's stats and abilities will improve over time. 

3. Much like the Shield Hero, Naofumi Iwatani, Zero will have the most logic out of anyone else in the world. Overtime, he'll be a trustworthy ally to Naofumi and his party, though he might not like him at first. 

4. Aside from Melty, nobody else knows that Zero works indirectly for the Queen in the beginning, as everything will be revealed later on as the story progresses.

Other than that, I do hope that you enjoy this new journey with me, and I am really looking forward to seeing how this story goes. Until next time!
