Only those who are chosen by the Cane to obtain it are rightfully granted the privilege of doing so. And unfortunately, very few have ever been chosen, most of which giving way to the pages of history. When someone is chosen by the Cane, they are tasked with defending not only it, but the entire multiverse from destruction using the powers that the Cane has granted them with. However, the scarcity of chosen wielders has allowed the Cane to be taken by force, making whoever does so a forced Wielder. Such action triggers a cycle. Either A person will take the Cane by force, making them a Forced Wielder, whether it be by robbery or taking The Cane after killing the Chosen Wielder. The Cane will then be forced to hastily make someone a Chosen Wielder and task them with retrieving the Cane, and therefore returning it to its rightful owner. After that, either the Chosen Wielder will die, leaving the Cane open to be put on display in a museum or in a facility of sorts and then be stolen by the next Forced Wielder, or the next Forced Wielder will obtain some type of power and try to kill the Chosen Wielder so they could have the Cane for themselves, therefore continuing the cycle. Whether the Cane will choose you cannot be determined.
