AHSOKA TANO

Back on Cialone, everyone rejoiced at Ahsoka and the others’ safe return. This was celebrated by a campfire and feast in the woods, where Obi-Wan Kenobi, who had chosen to stay and visit for a few days, and Mace Windu told old Jedi legends and stories. A particular favorite was how Obi-Wan had destroyed General Grievous, but the tale was conveniently ended just before the part where his Troopers betrayed him. No one wanted to remember that.

Ahsoka also recounted her adventures, complete with the newest additions, and there were lightsaber games, mainly so that the youngest ones had a chance to show off their skills to the Masters. It was a happy celebration.

While everyone was busy watching a lightsaber duel between Chulya and Zadyn, Ahsoka, who was seated near Obi-Wan, murmured, “Master, can I talk to you for a moment?”

He nodded, and, careful not to disrupt anyone, they went a safe distance away. “What is it, Ahsoka?” asked the Jedi Master.

“I remembered a promise that I made a month or so ago, Obi-Wan. I said that I wanted you to train me in the Jedi arts when the time was right. I want to go back to Tatooine with you when you leave, to restart my training.”

“You are wise, young Ahsoka, to realize that you still have things to learn. I can see that you will make a great Jedi Master… when I’m through with you, that is,” he said with a smile.

She laughed. “So then it’s settled. I’ll inform the others of my decision. But I’ll come back to visit them, because I am their Grand Jedi Master. But I will miss this.”

Suddenly Obi-Wan looked up. “I’ll take my leave,” he said, just as Lux walked over to see her.

“Hey! You missed one incredible duel, Ahsoka!” Then he noticed the expression on her face. “Ahsoka? What is it?”

“I’m going to finish my Jedi training with Obi-Wan on Tatooine. I’ll have to leave in a few days,” she said.

“You’re leaving us? Me?” Lux said, crestfallen.

“I’ll come visit, Lux, and often. But this is something that I have to do.”

He sighed, taking her in his arms. “I’ll miss you. A lot. But if this is your choice, then I won’t stand in your way.”

“Thank you for understanding. You are so important to me.” She kissed him gently on the cheek.

He kissed her dark lips. “I know,” he said simply. “I think we should get back to the party. The others are probably wondering where we are.”

“Yeah. But, I’m sure they’ll excuse two lovebirds having a moment, won’t they?” she asked innocently, then grinned. She pulled him down to kiss him.

He put a finger in front of her lips. “Hm. Yes, they probably will.”

They kissed softly, and Ahsoka knew that everything was working itself out. The force had mysterious ways of doing it, but she was treading along the lines of her destiny that had been laid out for her. It could all change, but it would be for the better, and would make her stronger. For, as a wise Jedi Master once said…

“Always in motion, the future is.”

Anything could happen in the extraordinary life of Ahsoka Tano.
