AHSOKA TANO

Ahsoka woke up in the room on her ship, dazed. Suddenly she heard a cough, and got up just in time to see Lux at the doorway.

With a cry of joy, she ran for him and launched herself into his arms. He caught her neatly, as he always did, and held her tight. She gazed into his eyes for a moment – they had returned to their original shade of warm, bluish grey – and kissed him hard.

He wasn’t even surprised. He kissed her back, no less sweetly than she had. They spent what felt like light years sharing wonderful, sweet kisses, saying things that couldn’t be put into words. By the time they parted, Ahsoka was flat-out crying.

“Oh, Lux, I – I was so scared!” she said in between sobs. She buried her face in his shoulder, muffling the tears that were running without end down her tan cheeks.

He said nothing, knowing that she was content just to be held. Thought she was still shaking from the aftershocks of the sobs, she spoke up. “I realized some big things when we were apart. I don’t know why I didn’t notice it before, but… you’re Force-sensitive, Lux! You could be a Jedi!”

“No, no, I can’t believe that. I can’t be a–”

She kissed him softly, to quiet him. “Shh – just hear me out, all right?” she said quietly, and kissed him again.

“I know that you are. When you were turned to the Dark Side, your eyes turned yellow. If a Force-sensitive turns, then their eyes look like that. What I mean is that the Emperor no doubt knows about it, so you aren’t safe as a Senator on Coruscant any more. You could come to live with me – and the rest of the New Jedi Order.

“It doesn’t matter if you don’t want to be a Jedi. The Order is supposed to be a sanctuary for Force-sensitives, who can be trained in the Jedi Arts if they want to. And I… I don’t want to spend another day of my life without you, Lux. I love you,” she said, looking up at him hopefully.

He didn’t answer for another few moments. Ahsoka’s expression fell, and she hung her head. He tilted her face up towards his again. “I love you too, you know that. And I can’t live properly without you right here with me. I’ll come with you.”

She smiled gently, and stretched herself up to kiss him once more. It was so incredibly good to have Lux with her again.

They landed the ship at the landing platform near Lux’s villa. Ahsoka and Lux were going to get some valuables and some personal possessions. After all, Lux didn’t want to leave everything behind.

Ahsoka gathered few the objects that meant something to her in a bag. The three cable guns, her different cloaks, a pair of binoculars, an emergency pouch of credits, and a handful of holographs all went inside.

After stuffing some emergency provisions in as well, she ran off to find Lux. He was in his room. His clothes were already packed in a small suitcase and bag, and lay beside him on the bed. But what he was doing was enough to get Ahsoka to smile quizzically at him.

“Um, Lux? What are you doing?” she asked, staring down at him.
