MACE WINDU

Mace Windu awoke from his own meditation several kilometers away from the New Jedi Temple on Cialone. He had felt the sharp edge of fear from all of the padawans, giving an acid taint to the Force, and it had been enough to call him back to reality.

“What’s happening now?” he asked aloud, semi-exasperated. But the way the fear called out to him… he could tell that whatever it was, it was very serious.

He had found a cave a little while away from the camp that was perfect for meditating. It had the same glowing crystals as everywhere else on the planet, but these ones seemed to be more in tune with the Force. This was why he liked to come here. He felt so at peace. With all of the little kids running around at camp and with some of the bold ones even playing practical jokes, it was hard to concentrate.

He honestly didn’t know how Ahsoka could stand it.

Windu thought more about the fear that he was picking up on. Why were they afraid? What was the source of the fear?

And suddenly he realized. He was on his feet in mere seconds, and he ran to the entrance of his cave. He looked up. There was a red glow in the sky, and that could only mean one thing: incoming meteorites. But they came pretty much every month; that wasn’t enough to cause such alarm.

Then he looked down at the Temple Mountain, where the New Jedi Temple was hidden. Using the Force to enhance his eyesight, he checked for the ray shield. What! Why don’t they have the shield up? The incoming shower could kill them! He thought. Now it was only reasonable to assume the worst.

Executing an amazing Force-jump down the gently sloping hill that his cave was in, he landed right next to his speeder. Then he got on, revved the engine and took off towards the Temple.

*Sorry, sorry sorry, I know this chapter is really short, but there was things thing with the formatting on my Word document (I type all of my stories up using Word then copy-paste them to Wattpad). I wanted to have a lot of space for the next chapter, and this mini-thing was taking it up.  So yeah, next chapter is coming tonight or tomorrow, depending on what I have to do in realspace (my life off of the computer).
