CHRISTOPHERUS KRUGER

"Storm Troopers!” Christopherus echoed. “We’re… we’re trapped!”

“How far away are they?” Ahsoka asked in a whisper.

Christo watched the screen that Lux was controlling like a hawk. The others leaned in for a better look, jostling for the best view, but he didn’t need to. Being seven foot three had its advantages sometimes. He also had every, very sharp eyes.

“A kilometer and closing. Hang on, some of them have stopped. Let me try to get an audio on them.” Lux put on a very professional-looking set of headphones, and clipped on his customized metal cuff that controlled pretty much everything in the room.

“What’s going on?” Anakin muttered. As Lux tried to connect the audio, he zoomed even further in on the image.

“I can’t hear much, just static… they must be blocking our transmissions. Wait!” Everyone jumped. “They’re taking out their blasters! Oh no, please let none of use be nearby!”

Ahsoka turned on her comlink, and set it to scan the Temple. Christo assumed she was doing some quick mental calculations. “Everyone’s here.” They all sighed in relief.

Then a shadow went over the video. It was a ship! She swore under her breath. “The younglings really couldn’t have picked a better time to get back from Ilum, could they? Right in the middle of the Storm Trooper’s arrival!”

On screen, the Storm Troopers began firing at the ship, but it wasn’t flying low enough for their short-range blasters to do much damage. Sadly, though, because they weren’t able to warn the incoming younglings, it landed where it usually did. Which was right next to Temple Mountain.

“Well, that’s a clear indicator of where we are if I ever saw one!” Anakin said, still quite white in the face.

The video feed suddenly went black. That was apparently now a part of the blocked transmissions. Christo looked over at Ahsoka. As leader of the New Jedi Order, she was the one that they would all turn to for guidance and a plan.

The change in her was immense. She went from a worried young girl to a powerful and strong leader in the space of a few seconds. She wasn’t Ahsoka anymore. She was Grand Master Tano.

“Anakin, you’re on scouting duty. Take a speeder, and figure out what they’re planning. But be discrete. Christo, you go find Zaydn, and the both of you get everyone out of the ship. Lux, have Amni ready to deal with injuries, just in case.” She gave him a meaningful look. “And you can help her with your Healing.”

Ahsoka looked down at the large handle on the table beside Lux. Then she pulled it up, twisted it ninety degrees clockwise and pushed it down again. Outside the room, they could hear the alarms beginning to sound.

“I’ll get everyone ready, and send them to your position, Christo. We might just need that ship for an evac. And the storage rooms are near the landing zone: have the younglings get as many preserves and supplies as they can into the ship’s cargo hold.” She tightened her cloak around her shoulders and walked to the door.

“Where are you going?” Lux asked her.

“There are some things that I have to hide and some that I need to take with me. I’ll have R3 wipe Computer’s memory, then meet you all back at the landing zone.” She opened the door, then turned back. “May the Force be with us all.”

Then she left.

*Here's a little bit of dramatic irony for you: the people at the New Jedi Temple have no idea that Order 67 has just been executed, because their communications, cameras and comms just got blocked. They will soon find out the truth, but will it be too late?*
