Ben’s POV:
After booking a hotel, we took the keys and head straight to our room. The room was fine and it had an elegant bathroom and a queen-sized bed. We began exploring and we had free food and drinks in a small fridge, a big smart TV and a balcony with beautiful city view. We put our stuff down and changed into some swimsuits since the weather was warm and suitable for us to go to the pool behind the hotel. It was really big but not really packed with tourists, so we had a lot of fun there. And I happened to run into my cousin Derek. “Ben? Is that you?”. “Derek?”, we both exclaimed. “OH MY GOSH, it’s REALLY you.”, we screeched as we hugged each other like best friends. “Ben, it’s been a long time.”, “It really is. And what are you doing here?”. “I’m about to ask you that, as well.”. “I’m on holiday. And you?”, I asked. “Same here.”. Then he took a peak at Kirt who was staring at me with a jealousy look. “By the way, who’s that dude over there looking at you.”, he asked. “Oh, that’s my best friend and classmate Kirt.”, I said. “Wow, best friends. Hey, I need to get some breakfast, maybe you wanna join?”. “Sure. I’ll tell him.”. I said happily.
Derek left the pool and I was about to get off the pool, when a strong hand grabbed my wrist and a whisper said to my ear, no need for a genius to guess who that was. “Hold your breath.”, said Kirt as I was about to say a word. Then he wrapped his arms around me and pull up my chin as he captured my lips into his. I didn’t have a choice but to kiss back. Our tongue was wiggling around until I needed air to breathe. “Hey, what was that for?”, I shouted. “Don’t like you talking to him.”, he murmured. I laughed at him and shook my head. “Why do you so jealous these days? I was talking to my cousin, Derek. We haven’t met each other for a long time.”, I explained. “Okay. But don’t talk to him for long.”, he said. “I think you need to get along with him.” I said. Then we headed back to the hotel and changed our clothes. Well, I forgot to bring other clothes but black. So I wore black, which I never wore it for days. We then went to the mini restaurant where it was literally crowded, so we quickly chose our food from the food aisle with some drinks and picked our seats, a while later, Derek showed up, and Kirt’s face changed into envy.
Kirt’s POV:
I didn’t seriously like that Derek guy. He liked Ben as much as I liked him. But Ben said he was his cousin, so I didn’t mind. A while later, we went to the restaurant, picked our food and chose our seats, and Derek saw us.
D: Hey, glad you can come.
B: Thanks. So, what’s news on your place.
D: Heh? Nothing special, but I have a boyfriend now.
B: Oh, so you’re…?
D: Yup! And you? Maybe that guy is your boyfriend?
B: Yes, I mean no. I mean….
K: I’m his boyfriend.
B: Kirt!
D: It’s okay. It’s safe for you to say you’re gay. And have you touched each other.
K: Apparently, yes.
B: WHAT?
K: Anyway, we needed to have breakfast. I’m hungry
And we started our breakfast.
Ben’s POV:
I have to say, the food there was splendid and I ended up eating some desserts as well. After a lovely meal, me, Kirt and Derek decided to go sightseeing around Burbank, California. We visited some shops which sold great clothes, and the black ones were so attractive to me, but Kirt would insist me on buying other clothes, which I was not interested. I mean, I used to wear those colourful clothes when Chris was in my life, after his death, I felt I needed some new styles like darkness, so I sold those clothes to buy the black ones, as if I “was a goth, or a widower”, much to Kirt’s reaction to me. Anyway, after a little shopping, we went to other places and took some selfies to capture our moments there. Then I got a call, it was the Ellen Degeneres, I wonder how she got my mobile number (A/n: shout out to Ellen Degeneres).
B: Hello?
ED: Oh, hey Ben. Are you coming to my show? It’s starting in a few minutes.
B: Oh, yeah, right. We’ll be there.
ED: Sure!
Then Kirt turned to me. “Who was that?”, he asked. “Well, it’s the Ellen Degeneres. She was in my birthday party?”, I explained. “Oh, I see. Well, what are we waiting for?”, he said as we just caught a cab to take us to the studio. Luckily, we made it early. We went to the backstage area and hung out with some of her staffs and the celebrities. Then, we went to the dressing room to relax as we watched her show, live on TV. It was enjoyable, until a staff called Jeannie to called me for the interview. I rushed to the stage and quickly do a welcome dance to her audience. Then I hugged Ellen and she told me to take a seat.
B: Hi, Ellen and audience.
(audience applauds)
ED: How are you? Thanks for coming, you barely made it on time. (audience laughs). So, uh, you brought your friend, Kirt? Is that right?
B: Yeah. And my cousin, Derek as well. They’re watching in the dressing room.
ED: Wow.
B (high-pitched voice): Hi, I’m on the telly.
(audience laughs)
ED: So you are really young to become successful, like you make money on the internet, you got certificates on everything and stuff. You wrote a book about yourself but in a different dimension and it was really sold off, they liked your book. I mean, you are really amazing.
(audience applauds)
B: Thank You!
ED: And about your birthday party, your house is wonderful. And how do you buy such a house for you to live?
B: Uh, well… You know I was a victim of domestic violence because of my father.
ED: Bio or step or foster?
B: Biological.
(audience ooh’s…..)
B: Then in the middle of his execution, me and mum decided to sell our home because it held too much memories, and we had enough money to buy the house right now, so we moved to the rich urban area. And honestly, I didn’t know anyone there.
ED: Oh, that’s normal!
B: But there are some of mum’s friends and my friends as well, so we made a good start of being new neighbours. And despite of that, I knew I wanted to do something to make money. Like just doing my hobby, and who knew I made this much money.
ED: And how much do you have now?
B: Uh, around a bitcoin and three billion dollars.
(audience applauds)
ED: Wow! Congratulations! How do you feel?
B: Uhh! I am glad to become rich at an early age, that’s all!
ED: Thank you, we’ll be right back.
Then we had a break, I went back to the restroom and saw Kirt sleeping and Derek came to me. “Hey, I have to go on a date with my boyfriend, do you mind?”, he said. “No, not at all. You should go.”, I waved goodbye on him and left.
