Day 6: Why I Don't Buy Things.

2 years, 2 years is the number of years I spent traveling, living out of a Suitcase/sui-kệt/. Inside of it I only have ten t-shirts, underwear and pants.

Before this life I used to have a lot of things in my home, but now I own/ôn/ very a little and buy almost nothing.(nhưng bây giờ mình ít đồ lắm và hầu như không mua gì nữa)

I walk through shops and spend 0 dollars not because I'm cheap, but because for any new product /ˈprɑːdʌkt/ it has to pass the mountain test.

If the product is worth /wɜːrθ/ carrying up a mountain on my back with no hassle/hạt-số/ then I buy. If it's not then I don't !

Because it would be impossible to climb a mountain. If I bought everything that I like, this mountain test is an extreme/isk-struym/ example, but the idea behind it is simple/sim-pồ/. There's a lot of things we don't need to have on top of a mountain or inside a house or really anywhere in our lives /laɪvz/. And I am convinced/kơn-vin-st/ traveling or not, the fewer objects we have in our lives, the closer we will be to reaching the peak/pe-k/ of freedom. That's one minute see you tomorrow.

a Suitcase/sui-kệt/     Túi đồ, túi hành lý

underwear           Đồ lót

but because for any new product /ˈprɑːdʌkt/ it has to pass the mountain test

Mà bởi vì mình muốn mua cái gì mới nó phải vượt qua được thử thách ngọn núi.

worth /wɜːrθ/ carrying up a mountain: Cần thiết (đáng) để mang theo khi leo núi

no hassle/hạt-sl/:  Không gây trở ngại gì

If it's not then I don't !: Còn nếu không thì mình không mua

an extreme/isk-struym/ example: một ví dụ cực đoan

anywhere in our lives: Hay bất kì đâu chúng ta sống

the fewer objects we have in our lives the closer we will be to reaching the peak/pe-k/ of freedom: Chúng mình càng ít đồ trong cuộc sống thì chúng mình càng tiến gần đến đỉnh cao của sự tự do
