Shoto loved the cold, so winter was his favorite time of the year. He loved sitting outside and enjoying the icy air making a shiver go down his spine. But the one thing everyone got excited over for winter, what made everyone jump with happiness was Christmas. The time of year everyone gave and received, the time of year everyone seemed happy and lights were hung around making the world beautiful.

Shoto had a plan for Christmas as well, he had a special gift for a certain boy. That boy was the angriest, loudest, rudest man Shoto has ever met but that man also was the calmest, saddest, nicest man Shoto has ever met. That man was Katsuki Bakugou.

Shoto had the biggest crush on the blonde, and it was well known. Shoto and Katsukis relationship is complicated. They aren't official but they both knew that they had feelings for eachother and due to that they hung out quite a lot. They've held hands, kissed and all that romantic stuff but neither of them has said they were dating yet.

Shoto just had to wait for Christmas day now to give his gift to Katsuki.

================================================

Knock. Knock.

Shoto waited for Katsuki to open his door. Instead though Mitsuki, Katsuki's mom, opened the door. She had a large smile on her face, not causing a single wrinkle. She still looked in her twenties even though she was quite older than that by now.

"Oh you must be one of Katsukis friends! You fought him in the sports festival. You're pretty strong ya know!" Mitsuki shrugs "What are you doing here?"

"I had a gift for Ka-Bakugou." Shoto didn't want to hint anything to Mitsuki, knowing Katsuki wouldn't like that very much.

"Ah ok! KATSUKI GET OVER HERE! SOME CANDY CANE WANTS TO SEE YOU" Mitsuki screams getting a loud 'hag' as a response. Did she really just call Shoto a candy cane? When the blonde came to the door, his eyes widened when he saw him. Shoto waved.

"Get moving, old hag!" The red eyed boy waves off his mother. Getting a whack to the back of his head.

"Come on in!" She gestures towards Shoto.

"No thank you, i'm good." Shoto knows Katuki doesn't want him around his family.

"Oh no no! Come on!" Mitsuki bassically pulls Shoto into the house. "You don't have anywhere to be right?" He'd be lying is he said yes since he already celebrated Christmas with Fuyumi and Natsuo.

"No I don't." Honestly Shoto was surprised at how silent Katsuki was, but he did look like he was about to explode. "I'll just give you this later then" Shoto has a small bag, it was blue with white tissue paper.

"Whatever." Katsuki looks away snapping his tongue.

"Well you boys go over to the couch Masaru and me will be in the kitchen cooking" She quickly walked away, Katsuki soon walking into another room Shoto following like a lost puppy. Both of the boys sat down on the couch, a small decorated tree in the corner of the room and cookies on the table. Shoto placed the gift on the table.

"Sorry, I was gonna give you the gift and leave." Shoto apologises staring at the gift.

"What did I say about apologizing for nothing? God that's annoying you know! Either way it's the old hags fault, and I guess you being here isn't too bad." Katsuki sighs heavily. Shoto feels his heart warm up, he was happy to be here knowing he wasn't being a nuisance.

"So, what am I allowed to do and say?" Shoto asked this, and Katsuki immediately knew what he was talking about. There relationship. They acted like a couple yet Katsuki would never actually ask Shoto out. The blonde was scared of rejection, he knew Shoto could get anyone he wanted and was probably actually dating someone right now!

"Nothing. The old hag will bother me for days and tell everyone she knows! She has no self control." Katsuki waves his hands in rage.

"No self control? Reminds me of someone." Shoto teases in a calm tone.

"Oh you bastard! You think you're funny!" Katsuki shouts.

Suddenly a man with glasses walks into the room. "The food is ready."

Shoto has a kind of calm meal, he is surprised they were so open to him being there. Wouldn't they want to spend time alone as a family? Well it's not like Shoto was complaining, the food was good and he found the family to be funny. He was having a great time. This is one of the best Christmases he has ever had! When he was younger he didn't get to celebrate Christmas and now the holiday is just a time of people fighting. Honestly, Shoto couldn't hold back a smile.

Once they finished eating the boys went upstairs to Katsukis room. Shoto made sure to bring the gift with him. When they walked in, it was mostly empty. Katsuki took what he had to Ua.

"Is this how Christmas is usually for you?" Shoto asked moving over to Katsuki.

"Well usually we don't have human candy canes in our house, but I guess yeah." Katsuki crosses his arms and snickers.

"Really because you seem to get this candy cane cock a lot." Shoto chuckles.

"You fucking pervert." Katsuki glares.

"You've seen Minetea and yet you still call me that" Shoto offended, looking away.

"Well, you get bitches! Minetea does not." Katsuki waves him off.

"Bitches?" Shoto had no clue what that meant. He was never good with slang let alone metaphors.

"Ya know, like people you date or hook up with." Katsuki sighed

"But you're my only bitch." Shoto looks back with a sadness in his eyes. Did Katsuki think he liked others? Did he think he hooked up with others?

"Never fucking say that again. How about you just give me the damn gift now!"

Shoto becomes nervous, but hands Katsuki the gift. The blonde tears away the tissue paper throwing it to the floor! He picks up the tiny box inside. When he opens it, there are two little silver rings with a knot on them.

"Katsuki" Both their eyes interlock, equally as nervous. "I really like you, and I want to be able to call you my boyfriend! Those are promise rings, they mean you promise something to the other. I want to promise to stay by your side forever!"

Katsuki is taken by surprise, he didn't expect the gift to actually be something meaningful.

"Forever? That sounds horrible. So I'll promise the same as revenge." Katsuki grabs one of the rings and slides it on his middle finger. He sticks it up to Shoto. "Look at that!"

Shoto grabs the other ring and slides it onto his ring finger. "Can I take that as a yes?"

"You're so dense" Katsuki grabs the others shoulders and pulling him into a kiss. Shoto smelled gingerbread in Katsukis breath, making the kiss sweeter. Shoto loved him. He meant every word he said. He was going to stay by Katsukis side no matter what.
