Established Relationship / Home / Found Family / Wholesome as always / Living Together

The warm feeling of home travelling through him as he walks in the apartment. The sweet smell of the sizzling vegetables wafted around. Shoto let at a pleased sigh.

His day was a pain. Interns were annoying, and coworkers continued to mess things up. Yet Katsukis shoes that were just thrown at the doorway gave Shoto an odd sense of ease. The messy shoes, the smell of food, it was comforting. Or familiar. Probably both.

Shoto walked into the kitchen after kicking off his own shoes. A slight slouch in his walk. He went to go hug Katsuki from behind as he would any other day.

Shotos hands snaked around Katsukis thin waist. His head lay contentedly on Katsukis broad shoulder.

"Welcome home." Katsuki mumbled as he focused on the mix of vegetables in the pan.

Shoto let out an annoyed hum, and buried his face in the blonde's neck. He couldn't help but feel a little better. Sure Shoto was still annoyed about the work day, but he got through. As long as he got through the day to have his end goal of Katsuki in his arms, how bad could it be?

"What's your fucking problem?" Katsuki let out with no real bark behind his words.

"Work was a pain." Shoto responds, his voice slightly muffled from being pressed against Katsuki.

Shoto tilted his head up,

"Can you kiss it better?"

Katsuki dropped the spoon he was using. His face became red and heated.

"That one was out of damn nowhere!" Katsuki snaps his head to look back at Shoto.

"Hm? We kiss everyday."

"Yeah but you don't always say shitty lines like that."

"Can I take that as a yes?"

"Yeah." Katsuki smiled. He turned his head enough for Shoto to kiss him. It was sweet and small and all Shoto really needed to calm down.

How could someone's presence make him feel so secure?

This question floated in Shotos mind for days. Realizing how often he just felt....better in Katsukis presence.

"What's with that fucking face? Why're you staring at me, huh?" Katsuki pointed with an accusing face. Currently the two were sitting on the couch. Golden light poured in through the window.

"I was thinking." Shoto hummed. He always thought Katsuki looked the best at Golden hour. His ash blonde hair became a dilated golden color. The sun painting Katsukis like a canvas. His sharp jawline and cheekbones outlined in the golden light.

"You make me happy." Shoto smiled, then corrected himself, "Happier."

"Hm? Where did that come from?" Katsuki blushed, his face still stern and accusing.

"I'm just telling the truth."

"You make me happier as well." Katsuki responded with a soft look on his face. Shoto thought Katsuki must be getting tired, the blonde was always sweet when he was tired.

Secure and happy. That's what home is right? He didn't think home was the small apartment they inhabited. Sure, he called it home and he lived here.

But every time he thinks of home, the only thing he can see is Katsuki.

Whether it's the messy shoes, organized spice rack that Shoto was NOT allowed to touch or even the cracked remote Katsuki threw a couple times. Those little things were home. Every little detail that involved Katsuki was home.

Shoto was more than ok with that.

I haven't posted a oneshot in this book for a hot minute, but here you go! I really like this one. Found Family is forever something I live by.
